I am a HUGE DMB fan and I have to say this is not my favorite live track. I recommend the one at Central Park to new listeners

This is a really great concert. The only thing that bothered me were occasional lapses in the vocals--but sometimes they were even better than the album!

wanna be white funk? Stefen's the only real white guy in the band, dumba*!. DMB never fails when it comes to the live performance. They ARE THE BEST band in the land. Period!

answering someones question...the show was in lucca, italy. i was lucky enough to be there and it was absolutely incredible. definitely recommend buying the album!

Love the DMB. What I don't like about this iTunes set up is the fact a song, track, close to 10 minutes long is going for $0.99 and another one that's just under 40 seconds long goes for the same amount. What's up with that? I know it's the DMB, but come one. At least take 20 cents on the the short track of 39 seconds. Looking forward to seeing DMB in the NYC area soon.

I'd call myself a more-than-average Dave fan. I've got more than half of all 40 something of their recordings including a few special editions, Live Trax, and bonus discs. The Live in Europe '09 set breaks the top 3 live recordings ever. The setlist is fantastic, a great mix of old and new (BWATGK) songs, everyone is in tune, the jam songs don't last an eternity and all the songs are super-tight! Not to mention ol' Tim Reynolds tearing it up on most of the tunes! Just to reiterate, this is a great recording from Lucca, Italy and if you want to sample some live Dave, this will more than please!

The version of Lying in the Hands of G-d is spectacular....Jimi thing rocks, not to mention a 21 mintue #41...go get this release...

brilliant. 20 minutes for #41! I can't stop listening to it. i've been dying for a live version of shake me like a monkey, this one's decent. Europe, who knew.

Once again the best band around delivers! It's so refreshing to hear real music. Music nowadays is just so manufactured. This band is pure blood sweat and tears and they just keep getting better and better! They should have won a Grammy!

Dave Matthews Band is so amazing to listen to. The talent in all the band members is phenomenal! I was fortunate enough to see them live at The Gorge a couple of weeks ago. All I can say is WOW! As good as Jeff Coffen is...I do miss LeRoi. They are both so talented, just different. The jamming they do live is the evidence of the talent. Thank you for your tireless touring! The schedule kept is mind-blowing. This CD is well worth having.

These are amazing songs, but with the addition of tim rehnolds to the live sound makes them new songs, even the old ones.

I am so thankful for a live album featuring many of his new songs. I am much more a fan of DMB live/acoustic rather than in the studio and I often stray away from even buying studio albums. This was well worth the wait - I am so glad I can hear the songs the way I prefer.

Best live show around. Dont buy the studio "hits" made for radio. The real essence of Dave Matthews Band is in the outrageously fun awesome summer tours. The live albums do a good job capturing that. The albums are great but the show is just an unbelievable experience you have to see for yourself. Go see a show it is a garunteed great time. This album is great because it has the newer tracks live but i can't wait for him to start changing them up rather than seemingly just playing the studio version. 41 is great and i cant wait for similiar versions of the newer songs

They did it up for Europe

the "big whiskey" songs are simply incredible! they are just perfect live dmb songs! and this show is even more incredible cause it has "dreaming tree" i love this show!

It shocks me that more DMB fans do not talk about the amazing difference Tim Reynolds on Electric Guitar brings to this band. They were great before but amazing now.

This is a great set list both old material and music from Grux. The only issue I have is that You and Me is missing. I feel this is one of the best singles on the Big Whiskey album.

I have had the privilege and true joy to see DMB in many shows and being a huge fan to listen to many others as well and this band will never cease to amaze me. I have heard #41 probably a million times in my life and this version by far is better then anything I have ever heard. The best thing about this band is they can take new songs and old ones too and give them that little twist to make them sound like your hearing it for the first time all over again. Jeff Coffin and Tim on guitar are amazing as well. A must buy for any DMB fan!!!!!!!!!!!

This is by far the greatest album DMB has ever made! I have been listening to it for months now and haven't tired of it yet. The rhythmic complexity of his music matched with the new horn section makes this album a MUST HAVE! kudos to DMB

I am a long time DMB fan, and this is definitely one of their best live albums to date! I am dying to see them in concert, but, until then, this is the next best thing! My favorite track is #41, I can't stop listening to it!

I know its just another DMB live CD....but WOW....makes you fall in love with DMB all over again! GET IT! :)

If you love the Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King.... you will love this live versions of the album, plus a few classics! I have been waiting for the live tracks of Big Whiskey and the GrooGux King since it was released; and now that is is finally here... I am impressed! Dave and his boys are seriously talented!

Another live cd and another must have

I was never a huge fan of big whiskey. like his stuff from the 90's although this album isn't too bad. electric guitar is something new to dmbs lineup

I love DMB and I love this album, but there is something wrong with his voice. It just does not sound right

With all the albums DMB has released in the last 5 years, it's almost like the band took the formula of Phish. Don't get me wrong I love the live versions better than the actual albums, but at some point do you ask yourself if DMB is spreading themselves out to thin. I mean the whole point of seeing them live is to experience the new and old songs. With all of these live albums I feel people are beginning to get tired of the live stuff, which is the reason why this band is so good. MY SUGGESTION TO ALL IS BUY THE STUDIO ALBUM, AND THEN BUY A TICKET TO ONE OF THEIR SHOWS SO YOU CAN REALLY SEE THE TRUE GLORY OF THIS BAND.

I can't wait til they come back to Chicagoland. Easily one of, if not the, best live bands out there. To the guy who called this 'wanna-be white funk', that's kind of an ignorant statement considering there's two black guys in the band and another who joins them on tour. 

He is the best artist of this decade.

I have been following DMB since 1997. Approaching 100 live shows and I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on a live studio album with the BWGGK tunes. This album is one of the best live shows ever nationally distributed. Great performance at the Grammys. Can't wait till they are back in town. Please never stop touring and RIP Leroi...

I totally agree with what I call "The TR Effect" He brings that lil' bit of a harder edge to a softer band for a great balance that allows Dave to stay on his accoustic track

As always another great live album. Especially great because of the new groogrux songs. Dave could seriously take a crap on the stage and I'd still be a fan.

8.19.08 and the day Butch left the band were the last of the great shows. It's still DMB, but it's not the same anymore. I cherish the classic stuff with 'Roi and Butch. Not a big fan the electric sound Tim brings to the band. Not disputing his talent, but the keys really rounded out the sound. Coffin does as admirable of a job as anyone can, but let's face it he's got some very large shoes to fill.

Dave Matthews is the king of trying to serve up the same song 20 different ways!! Serve it up fresh Dave or don't serve it up at all! What a con man!
