- Must buy this album!

It's so fun, catchy, and perfect when "Ridin' in My Car" (heh-hehh :P) with the windows down and stereo blasting. It has the perfect balance of upbeat and mellow. This is my summer soundtrack.

- Gives me such a 50s feel..

I love Sinatra, Holiday, Beach Boys, etc. This all reminds me of these eras so much, particularly 50s, I believe. I found the slower songs boring. I listened to them online first, and just didm’t feel it. Not catching and didn’t make me feel anything. But about 9/13 of the songs are PHENOM! So I just bought those songs. It’s nice, I like it :]

Never Thought a Volume Two would be as good as the first one, I was wrong although i do love volume one a little more this CD is excellent Buy It dont just buy one song, buy the damn CD

- Better than the first!

I didn't think it could get better. But I find myself liking the songs in this volume more than those in Volume 1. Their songs always make me feel so cheery and bubbly. Listening to their songs make me happier than a bear on a bicycle.

- Charming Goodness

This would have been the perfect album to have on while driving to Expo 67 from California way back when. Yes, Zooey Deschanel should climb out of the reverb pool she appears to be drowning in during many of these tracks, but "Volume Two" is a charming listen nonetheless. Matt Ward does a fine job production-wise, and the instrumentation is well-chosen throughout. If Zooey's vocals get a tiny bit shaky in places its a small price to pay for a project with nary a sign of Auto-Tune. I highly recommend "Volume Two" to anyone with ears, and award it seven veggie burgers out of a possible five.

I listen to music from so many different genres. I highly respect artists who can play and sing with quality, write good lyrics, and are smart and don't dumb things down. A friend of mine talked about She & Him. I borrowed the CD's from him and then immediately bought them. I love their light fun sound that has classic pop on one track and classic country on the next. I gave my dad the CD's for his birthday and he loves them. I eagerly await Volume 3 or what ever the next album is called. I would love to see them in concert if they ever come to NC.

When I first reviewed this, I said how I was a little disappointed...not anymore! It totally grew on me. Definitely a contender for vol 3, and I bet Vol 1 is just as amazing! So guys, give them a chance. Soon all you're gonna want to do is hit 'Replay'! :)

She and him is the perfect amount of creepy awsome I need every day (why do you let me stay here). My favorite song would have to be in the sun, on days when I've been told I've made a giant mistake, it's nice to take a ride in the truck and listen to In the Sun :)

- Makes me happy

They may sound a little different, but the lyrics and tune really make me happy. i want to do some silly moves listening to these;) There are a lot of people leaving comment saying that people who like she&him are suckers, while the truth is they are mean and rude, thinking their rules are the superior ones. She&him's music really helps me to get away from frustration like this.

Zooey Deschanel is amazing! My favorite song from the album was Brand New Shoes. Also, the album cover is one of my favorites yet! The overall album was really cool and the songs were pretty uplifting and positive on a rainy day!

- Fabulous from beginning to end

This is one of the very rare albums that doesn't seem to make a wrong step from the first song to the last. What an incredibly listenable album. Zooey and Matt, what a magical pairing! Can't wait for Volume 3. As an aside, it would be fun to hear Zooey and her sister Emily do a duet or two.

Timeless lyrics, and has appeal to all ages of listeners. You will not skip one song and will want more! =)

- Great modern music with a countrypolitan twist.

Volume Two is as amazing as sophomore efforts get. The mixture of Zooey Deschanel's lyrics and M. Ward's music creates such an instinctual pairing that it sounds like a band that has been practicing their craft with one another for years. The pace of the album is perfectly set as it crosses between twists on oldies and new music seamlessly. The album ignores a generational divide that can be found with so much other music to show that classic music styles can be updated without effort and will stay relevant for years to come.

- Exactly what I like, right here in this album, and their previous.

But now I wanna do a shout out to the people baggin on this duet. What's so important about a good singer? For real? So what if Zooey isn't the best singer around? Good singers are way too overrated. Not-so-good singers are way too underrated and misunderstood. And do any of you think that M. Ward cares if she can "sing" or not? Obviously he doesn't. They're still together after three years, are they not? I bet Zooey feels blessed to work with Ward, and I bet Ward feels blessed to get to work with Zooey. They have a bond with each other that wont be broken by hateful iTunes customer reviewers with bad tastes in music.

I was really drawn from zooeys voice from a rendition of please, please, please by The Smiths from the 500 Days of Summer album. So I ended up purchasing both Volume 1+2. First week or two I only enjoyed one one song and the rest were really different to me. I spent that whole week trying to figure out why so many people rate it 5 stars. As I listened to it more and more most of the songs grew on me and I am so glad I purchased it. I realized why people rate it 5 stars now. She is simply amazing! I'm enjoying more and more songs as I'm listening to it. Hope that helps.

- Underrated and amazing

This album is probably the most underrated and overlooked album of the duo, but that doesn't stop it from being the best. Zooey Deschanel's sweet-as-honey vocals and M. Ward's electric guitar are the most unexpected pair, but they blend together miraculously. With slower, more tender pieces such as Thieves and Ridin In My Car, and peppy, catchier hits like Don't Look Back and In The Sun, this album is a can't miss.

- Modern Classic Folk Rock

Gotta love this album. My favorite Is obviously Thieves. I love Zooey Deschanel's voice, it's really unique, one of the few actresses who can actually sing. How come nobody else mentioned that this music sounds like Folk Rock or Folk Pop from around the 60's.

- AMAZING

I decided to listen to this CD because the cover looks like Starbucks and I love Starbucks. After sampling a few, I fell in love. Don't Look Back really stood out to me. It's still my favorite on the album, followed closely by If You Can't Sleep, as well as Thieves, Home, and In the Sun.

Zooey has a great voice, and that was unexpected for me. I knew her from movies. Great artist!

Zooey Deschanel has such a beautiful voice, in addition to her amazing talents in acting and stunning looks ;D. As for this album, it's just absoloutley great. My favorite song has to be In The Sun. It puts me in a state of mind thats just perfect. As if nothing was ever a big deal. Thieves is another that i can just listen to over and over again and never get tired of hearing it.

What I love about this album is its timeless appeal. I bought this nearly a year ago and still listen to it weekly! It's great music to write to.

Man I livo zooey faces is a face of a angel plus the voice together makes it better don't know why she not big in music. I hate it when people don't cared. This album is the first taste I've ever had of She and Him, and must I say, it's genius! With folk-rock and Zooey's voice, and of course M. Ward rockin' out on the guitar, this is truly an amazing album. If you want a taste, buy either 'In the Sun' or 'Don't Look Back'. Both are a great overall representation.

- nice and sweet

Really like the album but I wish they had at least a little variation in the production. For me each song starts to sound the same because there is no change at all in the mix, or effects used. I am finding this to be an issuer for all the She & Him albums. I get that it is capturing a sound from days past but do we need voice in the distant reverb sound on every single tune. I don’t think so. Zooey’s voice alone has that old school sound and quality all on its own, I think the producer should trust that more and at least some of the time let her voice stand on its own merits without the effects.

- Perfection

This album is my favourite music purchase, ever. Very sweet, a terrific summery and nostalgic sound. We're three generations in one household, and this is one album that everyone in the family enjoys.

A little more smooth sounding then Volume One, but still completely enjoyable in every way. Together Deschenel and M. Ward are a fantastic duo making real music that is not edited and auto tuned to death like the modern dance craze. The colaberation between Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward is nothing less than a fabulous sensation that continously brings harmony to my ears. She & Him never ceases to impress their faithfull fans. I don't know how they will be able to top this album but I am positive that Volume 3 will be nothing short of a masterpeice. Zooey's sweet and delicate voice nertures and intertwines perfectly with the soft folk music that is most plausibly played by M.Ward. In short, Volume 2 is a great gift that She & Him has bestowed upon us all.

I bought this a week ago and haven't stopped listening to it since. It's seriously the only thing I've listened to for the entire week! It's really great, every single song is catchy and delightful. It's the cozy kind of feeling you get when you listen to a new song and yet it seems familiar.

Volume one from the talented Deschenel and Ward was one of my favourite albums and now to my pleasent surprise Volume two is out. She & Him are one of those bands that have a classic yet new age feel to them and thats what makes them so unique.
