Theartistkeith - Smitty's best
This by far is Smitty's best work. iTunes is missing the follow up live album, "The Live Set."
Radical_Dreamer_X - This album rocked
When I was 7 years old in 1989, I found a copy of this album in CD format sitting on a shelf with about 10 other CD's my dad had bought for his laser disc player (remember those?). I don't remember him ever playing it... So it's contents were a mystery... I loaded the disc into the family room stereo and sat on the carpet by the speaker (which was my favorite spot). As Lamu began, my mind was blown... It was so different from the other Christian music my parents played. I immediately became a MWS fan, I enjoyed his later stuff, but never like I enjoyed this album. I listened to the big picture probably a million times. I read the lyric insert until it fell apart. This was my first real experience with music and I'm sure it contributed to defining my taste in music. This was THE album of my childhood and I still love re-visiting it 26 years later.

I got this LP when I was a kid and I loved it at the time I was listening to stuff like Duran Duran, Thompson twins, and such. I remember going to church and telling my youth leader at the time I hope to tour with that guy one day . Well God answers prayer I went on to work on 3 of Smittys tours and also got to work with DC Talk and other bands.

I literally wore this tape out in my Walkman - so incredibly 80's. Still an excellent message, and still relevant.

I grew up with this album, it seemed stronger then. Every song brings back a memory from growing up in the 80's!

I saw Michael w smith in 86' for this tour w/ a youth group from my church, I was 15 then... excelent musician & great voice. His best, wish he did more like this.
Passagreg - Important influence
As a new follow-of-Christ in the 80's, MWS music played a critical role. I'm grateful to find the early stuff on iTunes. Got to see him in concert at that time also. Thanks Michael.

I remember buying this album (as a tape of course) in junior high and only kind of liking it. Then it really began to grow on me, and grow, and grow! I still love it after all these years. Yes, it sounds very eighties at times, but I believe it is one of MWS's best albums ever.
