Would like to buy the song I See You by Leona Lewis instead of having to by the whole album.

This would be a five star if we could buy the bonus songs for individual purchase. But.. Its not... So thanks iTunes.... For real.

This album should have been released together with the "shorter" version, so people could have decided if they wanted to spend the extra money for the bonus music! Shame on you iTunes, for expecting folks to shell out all over again for the entire album!!

Despite an absolutely lush palette albeit digital in which to work, this Horner opus is mostly derivative stuff... Like many, I would have preferred to purchase select tracks versus the entire album. Mind you, the 'Album Only' dictate for this content comes from Atlantic Records and NOT Apple.

People - complaining or asking iTunes to sell you the tracks on soundtrack albums individually will not change the fact that iTunes does not have the legal ability to do that. The movie studio contracts likely require iTunes to only offer the album in its entirety. iTunes only fault here is not posting this type of information.

This is one of the greatest movie soundtrack I've ever heard!! Really awesome! I just wish so many people wouldn't give it bad reviews just because they don't want to buy the whole album again for the bonus songs. This is a place to praise (or criticize) the music quality of the soundtrack, not complain about you little problems with how Apple sells it music. Your issues are something you should take up with customer support, not something to clutter up album comments.

Why must i buy the hole album if i dont like it all, just some songs. Its not fair that as a customer i would have to do that. I do agree with all the others, we really don't need to buy the hole album if there some song we already have. Thanks but no thanks.

Listening to this sound track truly takes me back to Pandora and is as instrumental to the movies success as the visuals IMO. RIP James Horner, you made a true masterpiece and will be missed.

I truly enjoyed this movie and have seen it many times. I know the dialog by heart and the sound effects. I bought the 20 track album expecting to hear on it what I heard as the music in the film. It is NOT the same on certain tracks. Example, track: Death of Quaritch has a completely different cue when Neytiri shoots her arrows at him. None of the chanting appears in track: Healing Ceremony. When Tsutey dies, none of the amazing music as he falls appears in track War. I don't know about licensing and rights, but I am disappointed not being able hear what I really wished to hear.

From start to finish this Sountrack is truly spectacular!

I really love this music! James Newton Howard produces some of the best music! However, some of the songs I really enjoyed from “Avatar” are not included in this soundtrack, such as the music from the war scene when Eywa sends the other creatures of Pandora to help the Navi and the music when Jake wakes up as his avatar in the final scene. If they were included, I would give this album five stars. Until that happens though... People from “Avatar”, please really, REALLY consider adding those songs. Please. I really enjoy this music, and I would like to have a complete soundtrack (for once) from one of my favorite movies.

Unfortunately, there are to many whiny idiots who don’t know how to review. I love the soundtrack, including the bonus tracks. Even if you already own the original soundtrack and just want the bonus songs, the quality of this is top notch.

I waited to buy the soundtrack and Im glad I did because I didn't have to waste money on wanting the bonus tracks after the original album. The music is beautiful and incredible... it brings me back to vivid scenes of the movie that I love the most... It was so worth the money and the wait!

man this was total waste of money. movies like avatar are soooo over rated. i consider a good movie something like 'a clockwork orange' cause it gets better every time i watch it. not the case with hollywood junk. by the 3rd time it becomes unbearable, boring. this goes for the soundtrack. Avatar was a very well sold piece of flashy colored junk.

I am disappointed.....

First I'll start off by saying, that this is one of my favortie scores I've come across. When I heard theres a deluxe edition to the soundtrack that included bonus tracks exclusive and not on the original soundtrack. I was really hoping to buy the bonus tracks here in order to hear more of James Horner's incredible score. Only to find that all the tracks including the bonus tracks are album only tracks. Which I find REALLY annoying having to pay for a whole soundtrack again for the specific tracks that i don't have. Itunes please listen to what everyone else is saying make the bonus tracks avaiable for the public to buy without ripping peoples money in buying a whole album they may have already bought. PLEASE!!!! for the sake of fans of the soundtrack, this score desevers to hear more music from this fantastic film. This album only stuff is a load of crap and the only reason for me of giving the rating four stars from the five stars rating I very much like to give the rating.

I do not normally purchacse soundtrack albums, but I really enjoyed the the scoring of this movie in particular and just had to get this. I can understand the complaints on here, but really, if you want the music legally you have to abide by the rules. Apple doesn't make these rules just to inconvenience you, they do so because they are legally required to abide by those same rules by the recording companys and artists. It is, after all, their music and their rights to how it is sold and used is a part of the process of legally obtaining the music we enjoy. If you dislike the process there is the torrent bit downloads where you can download whatever you wish for free. So either close your Apple account or quit the incessant gripping about paying for your music.

First, yah let us buy the individual tracks if we want. Punishing those who bought the soundtrack early makes zero sense. HOWEVER, I will say that the quality of the compositions is not that high. The tracks are ok, but they definitely hit the best stuff in the original soundtrack. Also, just as importantly the orchestrations are indeed synthesized, not a live orchestra. So basically it's a disappointment on multiple levels. I'm really hoping they create a definitive edition with the release of the upcoming sequels with more tracks that are fully orchestrated. I suspect they will so, I'm hopeful.

I'm so glad I waited to buy this, so I won't be wasting any money here but all the same, it's so very wrong what iTunes is doing to the rest of you...
