mariedoris - Found it on ITunes!I bought this record album back in 1972 and it is one of the best jazz albums I have so I was pleased to see it in ITunes. Red Clay and Sugar are great but so are the rest of the songs.

It was long unavailable on CD --you could pay 100 dollars for an incomplete version, lacking an entire album side for the past decade!-- it's now twice as big as before. Any jazz fan will love this recording. Grab it while you can.

I've been to many many jazz concerts in my lifetime and they were all something very special, but to have all those jazz giants on the same stage in their prime was the concert of all concerts. masters each and every one of them. something I'll never forget and always cherish.

Cash Rich Kid - Average At BestI have this record and the 3-LP Set of CTI Life as well and I don't know what the big deal is about with this reissue.
On the LP one of the tunes stops and you have to turn over the record this is probably the only redeaming issue with this release (Unless ITunes forgot to turn over the LP).
CTI put out some great stuff but ran it into the ground with the same artists and Bob James influenced horns and arrangements in the later years.
$13.99 is a rip, I-Tunes is too expensive. This should be a $5.99 purchase you would sell double and make up for this overpriced semi-bore.

da_Professor - The BombI actually got a opportunity to see this show in Seattle back in '73. Man they rocked the house. Been waiting on this to be released. My favorite cut, Red Clay. It seemed that whenever and wherever Freddie would play he cooked. And that being one of his signature songs, I can still see him on stage at the Paramont.. Can I give this anymore stars?
And thank you for the extended version. Back then,I didn't know I was missing anything on the ole 8 track.
