- Legend LIVE

John Legend is a young man with an old soul! His best work to date is his live recordings. Real showmanship. Old school flava through and through! I am so glad he and The Roots got Grammy nonimations for WAKE UP.

- Genius

The Roots and John Legend. Soul and Hip-Hop at its best.

- Lovin This

I am so glad I happened to catch John Stewart's "Restore Sanity" Festival!!! The Roots opened with an hour long set. That was the first time I really ever heard them and I've been lovin their music ever since!! Thanks

- Great Stuff

Sooooo funky. Definitely check this out and buy their whole album if you get a chance.

- Incredible!

Has the energy the actual album lacks. John and the Roots are at their best!

- Great

This is best I ever heard from John Legend. He sounds better with a band behind him even though he has great vocals.

- 6 Stars!

I love music. It makes me dance.

- ITunes Live from Soho By John Legend & The Roots 2011

Fredrick W. Ingram , this live version is really good. if you have a Kickin' music system you can hear every ting & bing. A MUST HAVE IN YOUR COLLECTION!!!!!!!!

- Album of the Year!

First, let me start off by saying that I've never been a fan of either John Legend or The Roots. But, with that being said...this album is fantastic! I have both this new live one and the original studio one that came out last year and I can't stop listening to them both. This album is perfect for a night indoors, turn off the lights, bust out your candles, smoke some ganja and groove-out! I still can't believe this album didn't get a Grammy nomination for 'Album of the Year,' ugh.

- IM IN HEAVEN.

This album has been like an anthem for me this year...AND NOW ITS A LIVE ALBUM!!I cant even put into words how talented both The Roots and John Legend are..this is one of the first review so if you guys are readin this KEEP DOIN YOUR THING! WE LOVE IT! true music with a message. a must buy.

- Sold!

Well after previewing this album and reading the reviews, I'm sold!!! Eff it!!! I don't care if I can't eat lunch tomorrow! This sounds incredible. !!!! Still jamming the other album with The Fire on it!!!

John Legend and the Roots have funk

- Rooted in the Socially Conscious Songs of the 60's & 70's Legends in the Now!

The Roots have always been one of my favorite Hip Hop Groups and John Legend is one of my favorite R&B singers. When I heard they were gonna combine forces over the socio-political urban songs of the 60's and 70's I was very excited! When it was released I was not disappointed in the least. The only thing that was missing was that live energy that could be harnessed in a small club. That end is fulfilled here in this offering. The only thing sadly missing for me is the Billy Taylor classic "I Wish I Knew How It Feels to be Free" but none the less a fine offering of positivity in form of Protest music!

- Dope!

Love it!!! Real music by real people.

- No Ordinary Album

When I first heard the Wake Up album back in late September...It was one of the hottest albums of the year. Now iTunes gives us this and it does not disappoint. Little Ghetto Boy or Wake Up Everybody should be the Single of the Week!!

- True music

John Legend and The Roots love it, I've seen both live and they are great artist. Roots the best band ever!

- Flawless

Great Vibe. Great artistry. Great vocals, and the musicians are sick. This is why I love Roots style hip hop and John Legend will be a Legend.

- Always (near) Perfection

..nuff sed.

- simply amazing

I was there for the concert live and so happy itunes decided to put this out. The concert was incredible. This is what music is all about.

- Amazing.

I absolutely love John Legend and The Roots. True, pure talent is the only thing I have to say. Just amazing.

- Powerful Truth

This is a truly powerful album -- with raps and lyrics as amazing as any Gil Scott Heron ever wrote (albeit a tad less angry), with John Legend's voice more soulful than Marvin Gay on "What's Going On," with The Roots becoming more musically talented on each passing album (on this one they somehow combine the sophistication and subtlety of the Modern Jazz Quartet with driving rhythm of Philly Joe Jones and the smoooooove funk of the Isley Brothers -- an almost impossible combination I must say). What else can I say -- it's an amazing performance -- pure old-school as only The Roots and John Legend can bring it. It's cheddah!

- Superb

An excellent recording of fantastic live versions of tracks from 2010's finest soul/funk album. And at £4.49 it's a steal. Even if you have the studio version of 'Wake Up!' you need to get this to hear arguably the best commercially available recording of the worlds finest live band doing what they do without peer. Questo - the world is hungry for The Roots Come Alive 2!

- Great music

I absolutely LOVE this album. It's perfect for driving music as it's relaxing but upbeat. I highly recommend it!

- Wake Up Everybody (especially iTunes)

Not bad...the cover of 'Wake Up Everybody' with Melanie Fiona is superb, and 'Hard Times' is another great track. Why hasn't iTunes released 'Almost There'? In fact there's nothing by Magnetic Men on iTunes and it's such an amazing track with John on vocals.

- Live music at its best!!

More great work from John Legend & The Roots, would definitely recommend.
