This is worth the purchase even if you already have most of the tracks on other albums (like I did). He makes fantastic use of the orchestra, and seems to really enjoy it, too. I know I would in his place LOL. The orchestrations are brilliant, and I just wish I could have seen it live! (Also check out the Matilda and Groundhog Day cast albums, if you’re on any sort of a Minchin kick) ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Whilst he may not be everyone's cup of tea, I really don't inderstand the criticisms of Tim Minchin. What a talent he is :o) Btw: My motto is you shouldn't moan about someone unless you can do better yourself ! I doubt 'Simon Downes' is ever likely to have a career as a comedy pianist or iTunes reviewer ?!
I saw this live and his songs really are amazing. The orchestra just adds epicness to it. He is without doubt the best comedian I have seen live.
This is a superb album with a real variety of topics covered, making it a moving album as well as entertaining. He has really proven you can write songs and be clever at the same time which is very impressive. His views may differ from yours but you can't deny his lyrics are a work of art and deserve huge credit. Massive thumbs up for this work, I can only hope this continues in to the future.
I realy like all of his songs but he does not need his orcastra. Ive seen the versions with just him and his piano and there alot better. Plus wheres rock and roll nerd?

The most talented pianist Ive tried to watch in ages! - The guys fingers fly along a keyboard & he's not drowned by the magnificent Heritage Orchestra. Every time I listen to one of his tracks my feet tap, I smile & I feel so uplifted & that's before I get onto the fact Tim Minchin is funny as feck - music, comedy, satire, fabulous showmanship - buy or go see - unless your of several "ophobic" persuasion, you'd only spoil it for the people who actually care about life.

We went from Ireland to Edinburgh to see Tim minchin. We d do it again anytime! Hilarious- and a stand- alone talented musician. So clever- lyrically and musically. Where the content is intense the hilarious accompaniment makes you giggle uncontrollably. The album is just as good- all brilliant songs. Yey Tim- we love you!!
I saw Tim live, when this album was recorded in the MEN Arena and I can honestly say it was one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Tim Minchin is ridiculously funny and clever and every song is brilliant. Top stuff.

A brilliant collection of some of Tim's best. If you find it offensive, don't buy it! This is an album for people with a sense of humour and an understanding of reality as it is, not fairy stories.

Tim Minchin is a genius. He exposes the stupid and rotten with unflinching wit. He pulls no punches when exposing the wickedness and hypocricy in religion whilst at the same time making you laugh. "Pope Song" is both shocking and bang on the button.
I've only known about tim for a few weeks but im hooked!! its all i listen to!! dear critics... i wouldnt write anything bad here unless you want to end up like phil daoust!! hahahahahahaha MAS

The sheer depth and quality, both lyrically and musically, of this album is absolutely second to none. Well done Tim, another phenomenal contribution. I'm a teacher and i play this every morning in my car on the way to school…no matter how early it is or how grumpy i am when i wake up, i am always in a good mood and usually laughing my socks off by the time the bell rings! Tim for Prime minister!!
