I wonder if Jimi Hendrix would have been recording Barbra Striesand stuff in his later years. Doubt it
THIS ALBUM MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD IN AND OUT...I LIKE THE ACOUSTICS IN THIS ALBUM THEY MADE ME FEEL AS MELLOW AS A BEE... THIS ALBUM HAS MOMENTS IN IT THAT KINDA REMIND ME OF AN OLD EAGLES ALBUM, OR AN OLD CCR ALBUM. I GIVE IT 4 THUMBS UP....
This album rocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love it.
Amazing! Zakk Wylde on the guitar ,piano ,vocals and BLS electric or unplugged doesn't matter.Reminds me of Book of shadows some of Zakk's early works which is one my favorite albums. Huge fan have all his stuff. Order of the black Cd was great, and now have most of it unplugged? How many albums can do that and still sound just as good..Only Zakk and BLS SDMF
the whole album is amazing riders of the damned in particular. This blows away all the music out there today.
Zakk and crew did a really nice job putting this one together, I had the oppertunity to hear most of the tracks on the Berzerkus tour, and was very excited to see this one released. Riders of the Damned is amazing and the acoustic version of Overlord completely changes the song and arangement. Definately a must have for the BLS and Zakk Wylde fans.
Once again Zakk Wylde has amazed me, he never ceases, cant wait to hear what he comes out with next!!
thank you so much for covering Junior's Eyes. i'm a huge sabbath fan and enjoy this song a lot. i really enjoy this version of it. i'm very happy with the sound of this album. was surprised at first to hear of this album and initially just rolled my eyes at the thought of it, (didn't really enjoy Book of Shadows) but after listening, i absolutely love this album thanks Zakk/BLS
Absolutely great!! Just kick back, crack open a beer and play this cd...great music for just sitting around with friends in some lawn chairs and drinking some beer!
A masterpiece once again by father Zakk and the boys. SDMF, GIFD, this is how it gets done. Another perfect
Good little CD, love the cover of "can't find my way home"
This Album from BLS is Amazing!!!!, I have my copy, I listen to mine all the time. Any BLS family or music lovers, You guys need to buy this Album, You won't be disapointed. Zakk and the Band are Great Guy's, and FUNNY !!!, SDMF John K.,
Black Label Society unplugged = brilliant!!! Song Remains Not the Same is AWESOME!!!! Darkest Days is the best!!! Do yourself a favor and buy this now!!!
Just fantastic. Unplugged and it's Black Label Society, Need I say More? Darkest Days sounds awesome on this album!
I thought Zakk was good at electric guitar but his acoustic playing in first Noel is amazing He just mad a whole new perspective for him
If you rip on or dislike album you have no appreciation of what it takes to even play some of this stuff. I play guitar this guy is on another planet just listen to first noel, playing electric is one thing but getting a acoustic giutar to sound like that takes years of practice and god givin talent. Im a big fan going back to when he played for Ozzy. Keep rippin Mr Wylde. Just grab some crown on the rocks and play this and listen really listen.
It may be an acoustic album, but this still rocks! Overlord was surprisingly rockin' for an acoustic version. But, I have to say, my absolute favorite song is, "Juniors Eyes". It totally gives me chills everytime I hear it; love, love, love it! I couldn't be happier about the whole cd! Check it out, if you're new to Zakk & BLS, this is a great way to ease you in; you'll be hooked! SDMF tTBLOt
Zakk and the gang can't do no wrong. Even a duet with country star John Rich sounds amazing.
I'm stoked to hear his version of Junior's Eyes, one of Sabbath's unkown gems.
good album but the album name is just great
Loving this album. It gives a different feel and sound to the songs and I thought it was brilliant!
Zakk, this album came out the week after my mothers passing, and you have no idea how much it has helped. Thank you.
We all know Zakk wiredup. Always at his best! But unplugged just brilliant Although a cover Helpless is a masterpiece. Zakk never dissapoints.
its prolly already been echo'd but this album is just pure beauty- not too light not too heavy- perfect for that long trip down a dirt road out in the country - or where ever- BLA/ Zakk never fails to amaze me!
Zakk Wylde is undeniably a guitar legend and you are accustomed to his face melting guitar riffs. The Song Remains Not The Same paints a different picture, but the talent remains the same. Whether sitting at a piano, trading his signature Les Paul for an acoustic guitar, or his soulful vocals, Zakk and Black Label Society's skills still shine through. Definitely a must have for any fan of Zakk Wylde and Black Label Society.
Sensational as always. Awesome acoustic guitar work. And some fresh content. As for you sherry Lopez if you didn't like the first five minutes of the album then you should of stopped listening. But even after acknowledging that your ranting you still continue to do so. That being said get over the fact that your narrow minded and let the rest of the black label society DOOMTROOP. SDMF
Just another day in the ballpark for Zakk and the gang. Whether cranked to 11 or just grooving after hours with this great offering from Zakk. What else can you ask for in an artist that just bleeds his soul in everything that he does totally genuine. Just GENIUS at work and we should keep on supporting great music like this for a long time to come ROCK ON BROTHER ZAKK ROCK ON!!!!!
Zakk should have just called this one "Book of Shadows part 2" cause that's exactly what it is... Good stuff when you're nursing a hangover or just laying back on a Sunday afternoon.
Amazing new album from Zakk Wylde & BLS as they release yet another brillant album of material from Order Of The Black and B-Sides acoustic-style! "Bridge Over Trouble Waters" and "Juniors Eyes" are the highlights for me, very emotional. Fantastic job again, there is NOTHING Zakk Wylde cannot accomplish 110% perfect. TBLO SDMF GI/FD
This album is Zakk Wylde's unplugged masterpiece!!! Another homerun in my book. Zakk is the only musician that I know of that can write a song that is heavy and in your face, but then play the same song mellow with a piano and sound spectacular!!! I really like the version of "Darkest Days" with John Rich. The cover songs rock as usual to. Zakk will not let you down. So purchasing this album should not disappoint. SDMF tTBLOt
Seriously, I love Zakk and BLS but I am really not impressed with this album...it seems like a mish - mash of stuff that they didn't know where to put anywhere else. Give me something with some substance please.
I pre-ordered this knowing that it was going to be awesome! Man, was I amazed that it was even better than I figured it would be! Zakk is the best living metal guitarist and shows his talent even more on this album! Way to go! I recommend EVERYONE to buy this album!
This album is amazing. I mean cmon, its unplugged Black Label Society. How can you not like it? Overlord is one of my favorite songs on OOTB, then BOOM. He made it that much more awesome by doing it acoustic.
This album is amazing from beginning to end. The solos on Overlord and Can't Find My Way Home will melt your face off!!! If you haven't bought it already GIFD!!! Also be sure to check out the Official BLS family site at theblacklabelorder dot com and the BLS Legion page at fancorps dot com. SDMF
bls i bleed black forever and always!!
Dude, Zakk did it again!!! Excellant album!!!
First of all, let's say there are some people out there who want Zakk/BLS to continue to record "Bleed For Me" type songs and who are hyper critical WHENEVER the band comes out with something a little different or fresh. Those people need to get a grip and realize that TRUE artists (particularly in music) rarely put out the same-sounding album over and over again. Get a grip. Now on to better things...The Song Remains Not The Same. This album will interest those who enjoyed Book of Shadows and or Hangover Music Vol VI. It incorporates the "stripped down" acoustic versions of a few songs from The Order of the Black and includes the 4 special edition covers (Can't Find My Way Home, Junior's Eyes, Helpless, Bridge Over Troubled Waters). In addition, there is a rendition of Darkest Days with John Rich (Big & Rich) that should appeal to the country music fan. All in all, this is another GREAT record from Zakk and the boys. Don't rent a gun and buy a bullet (Chandler Horne). Rent a PA system and buy the album!! It's SLAM'N!!
This accoustic version will appeal to any taste! I love this version for those times of reflection-when you just want something a little mellow but still rocks!!I love Zakks voice and how he has his way with guitar strings-beauty and rock hard real life-at his best as always!!Love you Zakk and thanks for all you give us!!-love,GaBLSgirl!
Zakk follows the best album of his career with a beautiful, stripped down throwback to his Book of Shadows era. I'm in.
This music is gay the guy is terrible at singing he sounds like Nickelback but crappier and I even like Nickleback this is boring music. He also sounds like that Everlast guy and that guy kind of blows. This music strikes me as unoriginal and uninspired hogwash. Like a slow moving sorrowful melody that totally blows. I liked the first Noel thats about it. He doesnt have his own voice Im sorry for ripping on him so much but I heard this band was good and its kind of popular seems like there are some people who enjoy it on here. I like the guitar only other than that the voice and the lyrics BLOWWWWwww. What in the hell is this guy singing about.
Picked this cd up, great cd just to kick back in a lawn chair with a few beers and relax. My favorites are "Can't Find My Way Home", "Darkest Days", and "Riders of the Damned" Had already picked up "First Noel" before Christmas and it is brilliant. Guitar solos are great as always, wouldn't expect anything less from Zakk.
Been a Zakk fan since the beginning. Always support him.
Love the slow ballads zakk does almost as much as i love the heavy in your face souther rock. Incredible range. Great album for zakk once again no disappointments. BLS - SDMF
This album is Fantastic! Some of Zakk's best work is when he's unplugged! GI/FD and buy this now!
If you think you have heard Zakk Wylde ... you probably haven't heard him quite like this. Really great stuff from BLS and Zakk. jeremy pochatko
The Song Remains Not The Same contains slightly amped/unplugged versions of songs from Order Of The Black. The other songs are covers of songs and IMO are better than the original. The album shows the diversity of Black Label Society and is reminiscent of Zakk Wylde's book of shadows with the acoustic renditions of the OOTB songs. Great album and a must have.

Was waiting for an album to make my spine chill like Alice in Chains Unplugged for some time. Well done and a nice surprise. The First Noel is a phenomenal finishing track complimenting the album.
BLS delivers once again! A cd dedicated to the lighter side of Black Label Society which is always more than welcome by Berserkers worldwide. Zakk Wylde never ceases to amaze and always leaves us eagerly awaiting what's next! SDMF TBLO
Zakk Did it again! Every song rocks. Darkest days(both versions) are just as good if not better than the original. Great album and worth every penny of your hard earned dollars! -TBLO-SDMF-
Another solid effort from Zakk. Just awesome how he can do different versions of songs and make them sound great.

This album creates some mood! Who would have guessed Zakk = Bridge Over Troubled Water. AMAZING!!! Pick this up NOW!!!
Zakk and the boys are back!!! a little softer than the usual but exceptionally well done! If you have never experienced the acoustical side of Zakk you need to get this album!!!
