I love Anthony and his vocal talent. So happy I found this! After I saw RENT I fell in love with his voice. 5 stars!

No matter what role I see him play, no matter the medium in which he performs, Anthony Rapp has yet to disappoint me. And after watching/listening to RENT, and reading his book (several times over), I simply had to look up his record. And I love it!! "Visits to You" is a touching tribute to his late mother, clearly conveying the love he still feels for her. Loved "Out Out Damn Spot", too...the randomness is amazing. Can hardly wait for the next record to drop!!

I have to say I liked his voice better to the hard sounds of Rent then to this CD. Although I like Goodbye and think the rest of the CD is a tad "lame". But whatever. Movies build up people so much that there is alot to be desired when you hear their own work. Now I love Anthony Rapp and am sorry to hear that this CD is a dud.

I've been a fan of Adam's for a while now, and hearing these songs makes me an even bigger fan. After reading his book "Without You" it makes the album even more poingnient because you know a little where he comming from durring some of the lyrics. It's good to know he pretty happy considering the life he's had and the tragedy he's lived through. Great album I recommend it to anyone who likes anthony, and anyone who just wants to listen to some good music.

I like some of the melodies and lyrics. However the sound remindes me a lot of rent but less rocky ifthat makes sense lol

It is such a good album! I'm a renthead so I was excited when I found this! The best song is Out Out Damn Spot. It has an excellent bubbly felling for a not-so-bubbly song

Anthony's voice is simply amazing, and this album really shows it! I can't believe he isn't getting his rightful praise for this record! It is one of the best I have ever heard! I love it! Anthony is so talented. I can't wait to see what is next in his career!

The problem with this album is Anthony's voice (and style). Yes, he was good in Rent because the voice (and the music) fit the character. Yes, he was good in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown but, again because he fit the character. His voice has become his character(s) and/or vice versa. Take away the "mask" and all you have is a grown man whining at you.

Wow, I don't understand those last two reviews. I've always preferred Anthony's CD than Idina and Adam's other two CDs. Though I just LOVE their CDs, this CD is so addicting! The songs are catchy and upbeat. Alternapop as Anthony likes to call it. I think he just invented a new genre and I hope to hear more music from it!

It's a perfectly put together album with just the right mix of out-and-out rockers, like "Out Out Damn Spot", and sweet soft songs like the title track "Look Around". All the songs are amazing but my favorite is "Goodbye", especially since it's followed by the perfect companion song "Room To Breathe". I reccommend buying this whole album. You won't regret it.

Great album and solid work. Provides us with good alternative-ish experience. Some select songs are just gorgeous. Always and Just Some Guy shows us a soft side of Anthony and songs like Out Out Damn Spot shots us with adrenalin and a good mood! When's the second album?

Overall a good mix of alternative meets voice. Rapp's strong vocals overlay the melodic textures of the music; nothing too complicated, but not simple in a mundane way. Great experimentation on certain tracks like Out Out Damn Spot (#11) and the trumpet solos at the end of Just Some Guy (#6). Definitely recommended. Tracks to Check Out: 1. Living Alive 7. i love anthony so much! he has always been my favorite person from rent and i love everything about him. Last week i saw him and adam in rent and they were amazing! look around is the most beautiful song ever! i love this album. anthony, you are great!

Everyone agrees Anthony was phenomenal in Rent, in both the stage and movie versions, as well as in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Now, here he is, his heart, once again, revealed quite publicly for all the world to see and hear. And it is beautiful. This cd is beautiful. His voice is incredible; extremely unique and so addicting to hear. I seriously can't get enough of it. His lyrics are so raw, so real, and so sincere. I do hope he makes another cd, cuz this one is truly a masterpiece :)

I LOVED Anthony Rapp in the movie version of RENT (sadly, I haven't seen the play yet) and I LOVE ths album. Every song has it's own unique sound, especially "Out Out Damn Spot." This is one of the best albums I ever bought!

I love Anthony Rapp's voice. I really do. The only thing that prevents me from giving him five stars is that I don't think he's really a "rocker." I think his voice is perfect for Broadway. Don't get me wrong, I think he does a great on the songs, especially "Always," "Room to Breathe," and "Visits to You." This CD is great no matter what, believe me.

This CD is beautiful. It’s hard to put it into words. I have never heard anything like it. Anthony Rapp has an amazing voice and his lyrics touch me. I could listen to this CD all day and not get bored. There is something about it that makes you want to listen to it again and again. It is incredible and everyone should listen to it. It’s a style like nothings you’ve ever heard. Each song is like a story and Rapp is telling it to you from the bottom of his heart, there is no faking in this, there is no extra drama added to make things interesting. It’s all him, and it’s incredible.

I love this man right here, he is so talented!!!!! From the beautiful and touching songs Now I Know and Visits to You, to the fun, and kinda crazy Human Tornado and Out, Out Damn Spot, this album is great!! I hope anthony releases another album soon, he is one of the most talented vocalists out there!!

Anthony Rapp rightfully amazed audiences as Mark in both the stage and film versions of RENT. So why did he have to go and ruin his reputation with this album? I'm sad becuase he has a really enjoyable, unique theatrical voice. Every song in this album sounds the same.

Oh My Living God. I loved this CD it was the best. I bought the CD knowing that it would be good but i dident know it was that good. Its on my ipod and i listen to it every time. Theres really good songs and his voice is amazing. And i mean A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Don't get me wrong. I'm a huge RENThead, along with an actress who has been in Little Shop and YAGMCB. And I love Anthony Rapp...but this cd wasn't his best work, by far. Some of the lyrics don't make any sense, which ruins the good beat of some songs. My advice: Buy like 1 or 2 songs if you're a fan, but go and buy RENT or Charlie Brown if you want some truely good Anthony.

Anthony Rapp is fantastic. He's a fantastic actor with a powerful voice and his writing is beautiful and easy to relate to, both in this album and Without You, which is available on audiobook, read by him... that's incredible to me. Without You helped me through my depressino caused by chronic illness, and I attribute him to saving my life. Well done, Rapp, and thank you!

anthony rapp has a good voice. if it were anyone else, i would love this cd. But my problem is im just so accustomed to seeing him played as the character "mark" in RENT. I cant get his personality in RENT out of my mind when im listening to this. Maybe this is just me, but it seems that i wont be able to enjoy his music when all i can think about is RENT

I bought this CD after I saw Anthony perform in Little Shop and I fell in love with it. This CD is so incredible and it shows that he is amazingly talented. Each song captures a part of something personal to him and it shows. Definetly worth it. It is so different from anything he has done in the past, i.e., YAGMCB or RENT. Incredible.

As a huge fan of Anthony's I have to say that his first solo CD is great. "Goodbye" is rockin, and "Visits To You", a tribute to his late mother is touching, yet uplifting and upbeat. I hope this is only the first of more to come.

I adore Anthony as Mark in Rent and love his voice in that part, but I don't think he can carry and entire CD alone. With both Idina's CDs, she never failed to amaze me with her powerful voice that could continue, but with Anthony (and I say this with love and care) I don't think his voice is quite strong enough for a solo CD. Lovely try though and he will always be Mark in my heart.

He was so strong in RENT and just shows his true colors that he can be more than just broadway. He has gone through so many struggles which show in "without you", his awesomley wrtten book. His songs are one of those songs you put on repeat and listen to it over and over again and you just can't get sick of it. GO ANTHONY!!!!!!!

One of my favorites in my collection. It has a little bit of everything & goes from the fun & catchy to the beautiful & serious. Anthony really shows his talent not just as a singer, but as a songwriter.

I love how Anthony Rapp put his heart and soul in this album. Like in his book, this CD is a very personal look into his life. It is in HEAVY rotation on my iPod. It is worth the 11 bucks you spend for it.

A nice, mellow CD with a bunch of catchy songs that really start to stick on you, this is. Some standouts are the amazing "Living Alive", "Then Again", "Goodbye", "Room to Breathe", "Out Out Damn Spot", and "Visits to You".

I've loved Anthony Rapp forever, he was amazing in Rent. And he's just amazing and he's had such a life! I've read his book and I would definately recommend that, as well as this CD to anyone. His songs come from his own experiences and are completely heartfelt. Visits to You had me close to tears again, I can tell it was about his mom after reading Without You. Get this CD, you will not be disappointed.

I have had this album for quite some time now and i must say, its amazing. Anthony Rapp is so wonderful. his voice is so unique and it gets the blood moving. This whole album is amazing. From track one, he grabs you, sits you down and lets you into a part of his life. its wonderful. the one song that is a must have in your collection of music is visits to you. that song is just pure beauty. if you dont have this album, i suggest that you get it. it is really worth the money.

Anthony Rapp gives his all in these songs and you can tell! The songs have great meaning and display who he truly is. Verry good album loved it. Room To Breathe and Just Some Guy are by far my favorite! Definitely chech out this album you wont regret it!

I just recently saw Rent, the movie, and fell in love with Anthony Rapp's voice. I found this album and bought it right away, and it's very good! "Living Alive" and "Goodbye" are very good, upbeat, roll down your windows and blast the music kind of songs. "Just Some Guy" is a really cute, jazzy kind of love song, not the typical kind that you always hear though. "Out Out Damn Spot" is weird, but VERY catchy, and probably one of my favorites now! Another favorite is "Always," a slower song, really great! I DEFINTELY would reccomend buying this album. You wont regret it.

This album is likely very different from anything you've heard before. Anthony has a unique voice and unique style. His lyrics are straight from the heart and he displays an honesty that has become true to character for him. It may take a few listens, but you'll find these songs growing on you, and eventually they end up on heavy rotation on the playlist. Give it a try!
