It's only natural that skeptics are going to say "I beg to differ" and argue that this review of "Honkey Kong" is just riding Chad Bromley's johnson. My rebuttal would be that people should have been on the d*** a long time ago, and it's honestly a little shocking Apathy hasn't received more critical acclaim. He's versatile enough in writing ability to cover any topic from somber to silly, he's clever enough to make what he has to say worth rewinding to catch, and he's not that bad behind the boards as a producer either. Matson was right to dub Apathy "a savage (and) a beast" and on "Honkey Kong" he's unleashing that rage into great hip-hop music.

Love the underground scene. This album is near perfect in every way. Get em apathy!

Apathy is amazing at rapping... The beats are sick, the rhymes are tight... My favorite rappers are Eminem, Tech N9ne and Mac Lethal and I just recently started listening to Apathy and he is starting to be another favorite... This CD is a definate buy! "Stop what ya doin" Best song ever!

If u like hip-hop and u don't like son, u don't really appreciate hip-hop. With record companies and execs tellin rappers what to put out it's refreshing to hear that raw uncut hip-hop. Apathy brings it. And that kid Blacastan, the truth. Don't matter if son is white, pink, or purple, son can spit. Recognize.

To be honest, Ap's album's have always been a bit weak... Baptism by Fire, Wanna Snuggle?, they all lacked something. But this album has it. Every song is a banger, the production is great, all the guest rappers go hard as hell, and the song concepts are always creative. Possibly album of the year.

And someone said something about "how many tracks about smoking weed" well there is one song with weed in the title and Aps verse is about being with a chick that smokes everyday. Apathy reigns supreme.... Need I say more? If you want cookie-cutter, mundane, watered-down hip-hop, go buy what the radio dj's tell you to. If you want to be amazed with originality combined with nothing but heart, pick this up. You can't go wrong if you're listening to Apathy, Celph Titled, or any of the Demigodz. Shout out to Teddy Roxpin for keeping the beats fresh like vacuum bagged wheat thins.

August is just about over and while there have been a slew of excellent hip-hop albums this year (The Family Sign, All 6's & 7's, A World With No Skies 2.0, & Watch the Throne) Connecticut MC Apathy has crafted the finest release of the year and I don't see anyone putting out a better album for the rest of 2011. This is a 21st century take on 90's boom-bap and the results are breathtaking. Throw this on and prepare for a sore neck the rest of the week. CLASSIC!

Ap kills it in this album. Great production, lyrics, guest spots... This whole album is a shining example of what real hiphop sounds like. All the 1 star reviews are people trolling. This is probably the best rapper you've never heard of trust me.
