Music has become so slow. Love the faster stuff." Losing you" best song on album.

- A "5-Star" Transcendent Listening Experience"!!!

I own all of Chris Botti's albums, have listened to nearly every song on every album and I can honestly say that Impressions promises to be as with all other Chris Botti albums a transcendent experience for the ears and the soul! The musicianship on "Impressions" is nothing short of steller quality! "Impressions" is sure to not disappoint listeners...its authentic and classy, something that showcases Chris' unique talent and his knack for "genre-blending" on albums. A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED LISTENING EXPERIENCE! IF YOU LIKE "IMPRESSIONS" AND DO NOT HAVE CHRIS BOTTI'S EARLIER ALBUM RELEASES CONSIDER THE INVESTMENT...HIS MUSIC IS WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

- IMPRESSIONS

This I hope will be Album of the Year. Losing You with Vince Gill, what a great combination, the lyrics are so IMPRESSIONABLE. Mark Knopfler is so pleasant. Thank You Larry J. Hopkins

- Another spectacular contribution

Chris Botti is not only my favorite artist but my favorite performer. His technical command and artistic interpretation of classic songs continues to expand the community of appreciative fans. His concerts are exhilerating and inspirational and a spectacular represntation of his studio mastery. This album will not disappoint.

- The Best Album for the year

Very good music selection and very good others musician !!!

How fortunate I was to be watching Good Morning America on 4-23-12 and caught Chris with Vince Gill doing Losing You I might have missed this whole album. Great music!!!!

- I

I down loaded it and have been listening to it this week. I have found that I have deleted some of the songs and none get my 4 or 5 star ratings on my playlist. Sorry Chris but I still love you a bunch and am still one of your biggest fans.

Alright! I never do this. But, this is one of the most 'high-feeling' recordings. So intensely personable to the human ear. Very quieting and at the same time activating. Nothing over the top but feeling. Total Feeling. Even the Vince Gill singing on Losing You is remarkably Beautiful…. I had actual chills. Gee, Chris. Keep up the good work and use these others as you've done to embellish and remarkably make your recordings superlative. Thank you all. And, I never write this stuff before. Patrick

- In love....

Chris very note is so beautiful you feel like you are falling in love to hear your beautiful notes!!! Please keep it coming!

- Chris & Vince....good duet!

"Losing You" is one of Vince Gill's most hauntingly beautiful songs yet. This, coupled with Chris Botti, makes me beg for more by the two of them. Love listening to it! Heard it on GMA and had to download it!

- well…….

Chris always had great tone and production, you won't be disappointed here. This does however have one long "drone" sound to it. There are some great songs here, but they are lost in a sea of "mundane". Would like to hear a mix of this sound with some of the old grooves from "a Thousand kisses deep" and "night Sessions".

- Not the best

The What A Wonderful World version is horrible. Nobody can sing that song like Louis Armstrong could. One of my favorite songs is the version by Louis Armstrong. This version is my least favorite.

- another work of art.....

Chris continues to put the feeling of love into everything he touches. Love the tracks. I hope he does return (at least for one CD) back to some of his superb contemerary stuff that he started out with. I miss that. BK

- Awesome album!

Great album with great singers!! just love it!!!

- No Hesitation

I bought "Per the" and "Losing You" without even listening to them because of Bocelli and Vince Gill. Needless to say I was not disappointed.

- Breathtakingly Beautiful!

I am ALWAYS amazed by Chris' virtuousity on the trumpet, but this time he has truly outdone himself! The songs match up perfectly with his hauntingly beautiful sound and while listening to each track, I was convinced that it was going to be my favorite--until I heard the next one! : ) The guest artists are perfectly matched with their songs. "Losing You" with Vince Gill, "Summertime" with David Foster, "What A Wonderful World" with Mark Knopfler, "Per Te" with Andre Bocelli, and "Tango Suite" with Herbie Hancock--all perfection! And Chris solo on "En Aranjuuez Con Tu Amor", "You Are Not Alone", "Sevdah, "Contigo en la Distancia" and "Over the Rainbow"--pure heavenly listening! Curl up on your sofa with a loved one and a glass of wine and ENJOY!

- Another great album!

Superb album...hauntingly beautiful "Sevdah" is one of the best arrangements and performances i have ever heard!!!!

- Love all the songs!!

Chris sounds great with all the guests!! Love tango suite with Herbie Hancock!! This is grammy material here. Buy it. Buy the cd also!!

- Wonderful

Great musician, great album

- Love, love, love

Have listened over and over and over . . .

- Just OK...

This album deserves only 4 stars. It is good, but not great. I miss the grooviness of "Thousand Kisses Deep." If you are hoping this album circles back to jams reminiscent of that album you will be disappointed, but if Italia is more your speed then you will love this. Personally I am disappointed.

- Fans Will Love this

I am a big fan of Chris. From his early days to his his more mature style albums. I bought this album the day it was released and listened to it a few times before forming a conclusion. While it does have the signature sound and the romantic tones to it, the album just seems monotonous and slowly moves along. Tracks 2,5 and 11 are the best songs on the album with track 11 having some ever slight upbeat tempo to it. The die hard fans will love this album but for me it was ok. I was hoping for better

- What an amazing assembly of musicianship.

i just saw Chris and his band in concert last night. Much of the content was taken from this release. I have to say, that the arrangements are just some of the best ever, and while the CD is terrific, nothing compares to the real thing. If you ever get the chance to see Chris and his band live, don't miss it. As for this CD, it's absolutely a Must Have, especially if you're a Chris Botti fan, which after last night, just locked that in for me. What a band. Chris Botti on trumpet, Billy Childs on piano, and Billy Kilson on drums, Leonardo Amuendo on guitar Caroline Campbell on violin....what's not to like?

- Another classy album from Chris Botti

Chris Botti has become one of my favorite musicians because of his recent streak of albums, and Impressions continues that run. His penchant for bringing in a grab bag of various artists to record with him makes for very interesting music, yet even with all the variety, his music is instantly recognizable. His twists on other people's music are always extremely cool and quite surprising. In my opinion, his recent albums have to be some of the most elegant music being recorded right now... I highly recommend it.

- Botti is beautiful

His albums never disappoint, and this one is just as refreshing as the others.

- I didn't think I'd ever find ....

a collection even close to "ITALIA" - I was wrong. This is wonderful!!!!

- Beautiful - Love the pace

I really enjoy the trumpet but the singers not so much, except Andrea

- Savor the Moment, Relish the Talent

I have purchased just about every imaginable kind of music that has been produced both in the past and present. I choose to listen to music that fits the particular mood I'm in or to change my mood and perspectives at any given moment. This particular album is but a mere sample of the genius of Botti. I hope it has the same effect on other listeners. Great food for contemplation and reflection or just plain relaxing. Enjoy!!

- Botti

Not the best from Chris. He's lost the true jazz composition. He always sounds great no matter what he plays, this CD is just not my style I guess.

- Buy this!

Nothing short of fantastic! You will enjoy every track of this CD.

- Bravo!!!

Chris is a master of music; his renditions make the soul dance. Very few musicians have such talent.

- Love it!!

I absolutely love every single song on this album. I listen to it when I study, do homework, and before I sleep. It helps me to relax when I'm very stressed. Definitely would recommend!!

- Best jazz album of the year

Ive been waiting for this album since I heard that it was coming out. (jan of 12). Every track is superb! A+

- Boring!

Incredibly boring! If this is the "best jazz album of the year" then the contemporary state of jazz is abysmal.

- Disappointed

I love Chris Botti but this album listens like elevator music. Very disappointed in this slow, drawn out album where every song blends into one another after another after another. Stick with Italia. Now that's a great album.

- FanofRobertGlasper/ChrisBotti

It is because of him I! am a fan of the trumpet genre of Jazz....i'm actually sitting here in awe still sampling before i click the purchase...

- Love it

The most amazing album 😘

- the best

I play the trumpet, if only could play like him he is the best.

- Fell asleep listening to previews..

Chris Botti is a talent but just listening to the previews put me to sleep. Song selections were not appealing. Tempo was slow and common in all songs. Will have to pass on this and wait for his next album.

- ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MAN CHRIS EVERYTIME YOU COME OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM, IT JUST SOUNDS SWEETER AND SWEETER,. I JUST LOVE YOUR MUSIC IT'S INCREDIBLE, AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL, ETC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEEP IT UP, YOUR AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Bravo Chris Botti! Bravo!!

I'm always excited to learn that Chris Botti has released a new CD. He's a phenomenal musician who always captivates me with his musicality and sincerity! "Impressions" doesn't disappoint. I haven't stopped listening to it since it's release. The guest artists are amazing...fantastic compliments to a first class musician. My favorites Prelude No. 20 in C Minor, Oblivion and Sevdah -- Great job!
