LINKIN PARK - LIVING THINGS

About LIVING THINGS by LINKIN PARK Album

Living Things is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Linkin Park. It was released under Warner Bros. Records and Machine Shop Recordings on June 20, 2012, in Japan, and throughout the rest of the world during the following week. Production was handled by vocalist Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin, who both co-produced the band's previous two studio albums Minutes to Midnight (2007) and A Thousand Suns (2010). The band states that Living Things combines elements from their previous four studio albums to create a new sound. They stated they finally felt they were in "familiar territory" and "comfortable in own skin" after years of experimentation that resulted in their two previous studio albums, Minutes to Midnight and A Thousand Suns. Living Things was chosen as the album's title because of the numerous personal topics on the album. The lead single for the album, "Burn It Down", was sent to radio and released to digital music retailers on April 16, 2012. Living Things debuted at number one on Billboard 200 with sales of 223,000 copies in the United States in its opening week. Living Things received mixed reviews from music critics. According to review aggregator website Metacritic, it has an average review score of 60 out of 100, based on reviews from 15 professional critics. Chad Childers of Loudwire gave the album a 4 out of 5 stars, stating that "the album as a whole continues to expand their world-view writing like what listeners got with A Thousand Suns, but it also adds more of the anger that was prevalent in their earliest work, Hybrid Theory."

- Insert RIP here

I've always considered this to be a phenomenal album, and will still continue to do so, Burn It Down is great. When I heard about Chester I didn't want to believe it. Goes to show that even those we look up to never have everything under control and won't always be around. I'm sorry it lead to this man, wish we could've done something to help...

- Great

R.I.P Chester!!! you are really missed!!

- Favorite LINKIN PARK Album

What can I say? It’s my favorite.

- I LOVE this album

I listened to this album over and over and over again one night while I was out of my mind on lsd and nitrous, and the music just got better and better. Grieving the horrific injury of a friend, the songs soothed my pain. Faced with my mistakes in life, the album spoke to me on so many levels and took me on a journey through my troubles and brought me to a place of transformation. Sober now, it will always have a special place in my heart and in my collection. Sounds great in my car too! Thanks LP for making great music. This one really helped me get through.

- LIT🔥🔥🔥🔥💊💊💊💊

THIS ALBUM IS ON FLEEK! THIS ALBUM IS SO ILL BRO!💣 THIS ALBUM IS THE BOMB ON MY BIRTHDAY CAKE! LIKE I WISH THIS ALBUM TASTED AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS BECAUSE IF IT DID I WOULD HAVE LIKINBETES. EVEN IF YOU COULD EAT THIS ALBUM I WOULD HOPE IT WOULD BE LABELED A VEGETABLE SO THAT I DONT HAVE TO EAT BROCCOLI. I COULD SIMPLY EAT LINKIN PARK IT EVEN KINDA SOUNDS LIKE A VEGETABLE. rip mike jenkenson

- Good

It’s good but not as good as the first three albums... seems a little electronic.

- Yes

Yes

- At least it sounds like them

Like any other fan, I hold Hybrid Theory and Meteora at the top of the list. This album to me, sounds the most like Linkin Park of the last 4 albums. I know The Hunting Party is more of a rock album than this, but this one sounds like a return to roots in a lot of ways. Chester and Mike's vocals have that chemistry that they do on the first two. The difference is of course the pop style, but I feel like the sound on this album works for them. If you're a diehard guitar and drums guy you'll hate it.

- Great

I like how their music has grown with them through the years, some people don't but they can't please everyone.

- None other.

There's really no other band I've heard of that's as good LP. There's so much difference in their music they came to be my favorite band 🇺🇸

- Amazing

Haters have absolutely no ear for music whatsoever, as they are deaf by their own stupidity.

- Awesome

I haven’t heard the whole album, which I will, it’s still freakin amazing. Burn it down is awesome, since it has some electric things to it!! (It’s better than Cure For The Itch) GO LINKIN PARK Random Reviewer Oof

- Skin To Bone

I love skin to bone it is so good! Definitely for LP fans I love Linkin Park

- Loving it!

Re-Listening to all the Classic LP albums and in particular the songs where CHESTER shreds his verses, makes me yearn for his life and the possibility for more! Love you CB! Thanks!

- haha

哈哈哈哈Fascinating

- Just awful

Love how they tried to recreate hybrid theory and Meteora, but they still failed miserably! And iTunes lied to us by saying “oh they returned to their old roots”! Ha! Best joke I’ve heard all day! Wish I could give this album zero stars! And guess what everyone, I actually enjoy the hunting party! Most of these people just say oh I only like hybrid theory and Meteora, and yes I really enjoy them too but I also like the hunting party! I don’t know why they wouldn’t just do more hard rock stuff like that to begin with! Living things is total garbage! What the heck guys! And I also know this album is like 10 years old but still god! This is just awful, and as I’ve become a Linkin park fan as I’ve grown into a adult, I listened to all of these albums and after hybrid theory, Meteora, and minutes to midnight Linkin park just dropped off and I don’t know where it all went wrong! I actually enjoyed minutes to midnight! But once a thousand suns came around the album was just so awful I had to turn it off! And living things is just as bad! And don’t get me started on one more light! Good god, what a terrible abomination this band had become!

- A step in the right direction

Not it's not the rock we are used to hearing. I didn't really like A Thousand suns, but my faith in them was restored with this album. They are experimenting and incorporating more into their music. Solid album

- Different does not mean bad.

Great album overall

- Awesome

👌yes

- NOT HYBRID THEORY

THIS IS NOT HYBRID THEORY, THIS IS BETTER!

- Great Album

Roads Untraveled is the best song on this album!

- Yummy

Yummy

- A streamlined sequel to ATS

First of all, the misleading iTunes review believes that this album is a "return to [Linkin Park's] roots". I highly disagree with this sentiment. Rather, Living Things is a more focused follow-up to A Thousand Suns. Sound is much more consistant here, which could be seen as a positive ofr negative depending on your preferences. Hybrid Theory purists who have been begging for Hybrid Theory 3 ever since MTM will probably like Lies Greed Misery, maybe Victimized, and possibly Lost in The Echo, and dislike the rest of the album. Like how I described ATS in the review I made for it, this album (along with ATS) is for people who can accept change. The serious tone of Hybrid Theory that has been a staple across all of their albums remains here, and wouldn't see a massive change until One More Light. If you're okay with that, get this album. You truly won't regret it.

- Love this album

Castle of glass is the best

- Amazing

I loved this album when it came out in 2012 and I love it as much or even more now.

- Burn It Down was not their last song

Burn It Down was not their last song with Chester! My stepdad thinks this their latest release. This was before I knew him.I have known my stepdad since I was 4 years old.I even listened to LP before I knew him! Then I forgot Linkin Park was a band. I started remembering that they were a band in February of 2019! How that happened was my mom was listening to their song called in the end and i asked who sang that song and she said Linkin Park.I think in summer of 2019 I told my stepdad about them and he said I know that band! Then I got intrested in music and they were my favorite band in summer of 2020! My mom and stepdad met at a bar on 11-22-2014

- 👌🏼

Took me a while to get used to it but this album is pretty fire after listening a few times

- Chester Bennington. R.I.P

Chester Bennington tu música cambió mi vida. Serás recordado por siempre. Descansa en paz nunca serás olvidado

- Starts off Ok… Then Freefalls.

First three songs are ok. Castle of Glass isn’t my cup of tea but I can see why people might like it. Lies Greed Misery is the worst Linkin Park song in existence. Production is cool but this is the beginning of the lyrical nosedive by Mike Shinoda. Cheesy rapping. Four stars but can easily fall to three.

- ❤️

❤️

- Great, but the techno is a bit overused

Self-explanatory.

- Sounds Good

Good music 🎶👌👍

- Amazing

Electronics and Linkin Park = 🔥🔥

- I like most of the songs!

Love most of the songs in this album. :)

- I played this album a million times

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

- My favorite

Love linkin park n this album range is the best. This by far is my favorite

- Fantastic first half...

Good second half... just wished they rocked out as hard as they did for the first half... album would have been perfect

- The hlet IHOP has in

Don't think that it would If your tuition just you iiyouo

- Love it!

❤️❤️❤️

- AWESOME

Favorite album from Linkin Park. Great energy and style

- 🎵LP Never Disappoints 🎵

I enjoy every song on this album. LP has a unique evolution to their style but always tell a story. Unlike other groups who "try out different styles" and usually fail, LP can play anything (it's called talent)! Unlike some other reviews, some of LP "hardest" metal-like rock has ended up my least favorite of their songs. But even those are still good. Can't wait for the next album.

- Awesome, love Lincoln Park! 😊

Love it!

- Linkin Park = 🎶

This one is up there with “Meteora” and “Hybrid Theory” 🙏🏼😛

- Lost in the Echo and Castle of Glass

These tracks are absolutely amazing

- 😃My favorite music😃

LINKIN park is the best u can't argue with that so let the bass DROP lolz

- Awesome Album

This album is awesome. One of Linkin Park's best albums ever! My personal favourites would have to be Roads Untravelled and In My Remains. Keep up the great work Linkin Park!

- Improvement!

A Thousands Suns was very mediocre! But this album was slight improvement from that!

- Love it!

This is a must have!

- not what it says

too the people saying its a mix between hybrid theory and metoria. go shoot your self. it has no metal riffs, no double kicks, no good raps, the djing has been cut out it seems. it is not a return to the roots, it is a politically correct album for the air waves where parents can listen to the music and say yeah this is rocking, when in fact it not and rather drifting to the pop side of music rather than the nu-metal/ rap that it came from. to linkin park. i appreciate your putting out music, but this is not what ppl love you for. return to hybrid theory heavy fast passed music. for the love that it good music

- Great

This is a great album. Altho I've not not listened to much of there other albums I have to say this is a great album for some one that's never really listens to them

- Old Stuff

Your My Favourite band Linkin Park but i think you need to stick to the old stuff and calm down a bit with the electronica and maybe try to mix it up a bit like minutes to midnight where some songs were good beats by mr hahn and good rapping and a few hard rock and soft rock maybe mix some songs with the electronica you have now with the old rock (like ill be gone) but dont go crazy like a thousand suns. top 3 on the album - Lies Greed Misery - Castle Of glass - ill Be Gone

- What's Happened?

These guys were my idols growing up, and now I feel like they're just having a laugh. Linkin Park are gifted with some of the musicians in the band, and it's such a shame to see them wasting their talents on electronic music. For people who love electro music, this probably isn't a bad album, but for avid Linkin Park fans, it is a throughly disappointing album. It's undoubtedly their worst material they've made. I hope Linkin Park wake up from this nightmare.

- Amazing blown away

Hey people out there I know that I've only listened to lp for a while but they are amazing they are my Heros and my role models and this album is one of my favourites perhaps its not as good as hybrid theory but who cares the music lp makes is inspirational the work that they have done was worth it so don't dis the album just listen to it live and breath the music and the rhythm

- Great!

This album is just superb. This is my second favourite album (first being Meteora). But I don't see why all the song names have to be in Caps.

- AMAZING!!

Best album I have ever come across in my life. I bought it yesterday and I haven't listened to anything since. It is amazing and I hightly recomend downloading it :) You won't regret it. Linkin Park is amazing.

- Great

Roads Untraveled and Skin to Bone are easily the best songs. (In my opinion).

- Unbeatable

No way! Do not bring them back. This new stuff is unbelievably good, it shows the band have put huge effort into creating their most powerful stuff yet. People say daft things. Hybrid theory was originally good, but bands evolve and now they are amazing. Cannot wait for the next and best album yet! Keep it up

- Almost Perfection

I love the album it's filled with great songs, except i don't really like victimised, sorry im not into that real screamo'.

- AWESOME

This is my favourite song ever and it’s amazing and linkin park makes the best songs

- LP Forever!

I love every song they make, and I wouldn't mind if they change their style again... As long as they're together

- Average

Pretty average. They need to get back to their roots, not a fan of this style of album

- Not good

Sorry guys but you've lost the plot, I loved Linkin Park when you were good and angry now you are almost a pop band. Sorry but I think I'll be sticking with your older albums like Hybrid Theory.

- Wow

I had my doubts about this and being a fan since hybrid theory this really blew away my expectations, there still not the same LP but this i can handle

- Sooo gooood

Surprisingly good. Before listening to this album I had my doubts but now it's the top played album in my iTunes. Words can not describe how much I love this album

- AMAZING

Skin to bone is AWESOME and one of my favourites. Linkin park is one of my two favourite musicians.

- The Best

The Best Linkin Park album ever. I don't know why people hate this..

- Awesome😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

Love burn it down☺☺☺☺☺☺☺☺😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄😄

- Re-runs

Sounds all very similar, LP is not my Genre anymore :( Anyone notice that the lead song 'Burn It Down' is essentially only part II for 'Burning in the skies' from their last album. The melody is soooo similar....

- CRAZIEST ALBUM!

My ears were blown off. Best Linkin park record yet! :D this is a MUST! #ALLCAPSEVERYTHING

- Definitly worth a listen!

Loving it! I really like the songs on this album! we have some quality LP here! I admit having grown up with LP and falling in love with classic albums like meteora and hybrid theory I have been a bit disappointed with some of their recent albums. I have decided to give them another chance and this album is decent.

- Liked the arty/experimental

Liked ATS - was different, and interludes interesting. This album okay, if people want Chester to screw up his voice by screeching, then they will complain that there is not enough of it. Would be happy to buy another "arty, experimental" LP album.

- Keep it up <|;)

Amazing alsoi like how lp made softer songs in their next album i think they should make it heavier like their first albums but keep a couple sifter songs. I love lost in the echo in my remains and lies greed misery. Keep up the good work lovin it

- Awesome!!

It's an amazing album, something different just shows their talent in all kinds of music :). What makes this album better is that they don't care what the fans think, they create music for their ears. And if anyone else likes it, so be it. :)

- Good but not great...

This is one of my favourite bands ever but I have to say I'm pretty disapointed though.. I was excepting big this time but they let me down! A few good songs though, but not every song is great unlike their amazing previous albums! Miss you old LINKIN PARK <3

- EPICLINKIN PARK

EPIC GO LINKIN PARK

- Quality

People hate this album because they are expecting too much from the band. Every band has their bad albums and periods, usually it's at the start of their career however Linkin Park began with their best stuff. It's still a quality album but this and a thousands suns won't go down as one of the best. Also everyone's expectations are to high that's why your getting disappointed.

- Loved it

It was a really good combo of songs. Money well spent

- Pretty great album AGAIN!

This album really has the old linkin park feel to it. Although i really liked a thousand suns, its great that they've gone back to their old sound and produced another brilliant album that fits my standards! Looks like their not soft as a pooh sandwich! (quote from a hater on a thousand suns) equal to if not better than hybrid theory, this album is extremely impressive!

- Buy this album

This album is worth spending money on. Burn it down is awesome!

- Sounds great!

All the songs are worth listening. I like the nu metal, rap, choruses but I'm surprised that the songs aren't much popular.

- Still not convinced.

To be honest, I'm still not sure. Nothing about Linkin Park's albums post-Meteora have convinced me to buy. Don't get me wrong, I have a very eclectic taste in music (from Pink Floyd to Korn; hell, I have ALL of Korn's albums and love every single one!) but there's nothing catchy and nothing to hook you in with any of LP's newer material. 'Burn It Down' is worth a mention.

- Terminator

This album rocks

- Not bad

This isn't a bad album. What I am finding ridiculous is the people who are saying that they have loved LP since meteora but this album is disappointing and ANY of their other albums are better and they don't like the way LP are heading with their music. Pfft, Meteora and Hybrid Theory were their best albums and it all went downhill after that. They went a different direction after that too ya know. Hmm maybe we will start heading back uphill now.

- Linkin Park- Living Things

It's pretty good, but it's not their best work. I would recommend their other albums over this any day.

- Amazing😝😎👽👍

This album is really amazing amd love castle of glass just like in the game medal of honor. And i like the music video with all the glass flyin everywhere

- Another great from LP

Another great album for me to get

- WE WANT THEM BACK!

we want old linkin park !!!

- Awesome!

Love em! Seen them live unreal!xx

- What happened?!

Aw man it just makes me sad to listen to new lp... I loved Hybrid Theory and even Meteora but this is just... Ugh. I mourn for original linkin park!

- Not that great

It's interesting to see other people rate this album so highly because I don't. Regardless of the new direction LP have taken since Minutes to Midnight this album really doesn't have the quality I would have expected from them. It's not just the style of some of the tracks, it actually seems like the quality of the music itself has become inferior; the writing and the production. I found some of the tracks unlistenable because they just irritated me (victimised & lies, greed & misery); something I've never experienced with LP before. Most disappointing. I think perhaps their music has been polluted by having a track as a feature for the three Transformers movies. Their music seems to have changed to that format. A rocky, mainstream sound that really isn't the LP I know and love from Meteora. It's too fluffy. And is it just me or could Castle of Glass be a frikkin country tune???? WT.????? Just stick a twangy guitar in there, and the occasional yeehaw and it would be. Urgh!!! Perhaps my opinion will change if I get more of a chance to listen to it. Give me a couple of bike rides with this playing and I may change my mind.

- 👎

Not impressed LP...I love muse better.

- boorringg

1 heavyish song verry dissapointed

- Like it!!

I love LP's older stuff but I really like this album. I only listened to a few songs at first but now they have all grown on me. If you love LP then get the whole album.

- linkin park

Linkin Park can do no wrong. If you think you don't like it make time, sit down & listen you will be surprised how good they consistently are

- Mr

A fan of Lp from the start. Lost my way for a while but thought I would blind buy this. Had a listen and didn't think much of it. How wrong was I! Amazing! Mature, and Lp all the way. A great album!

- JUST WOW!

this is sure to be one of their best, i find that it combines all of their past work, well done guys, i'll sure be buying the next one too!......

- Amazing

This album is absolutely amazing And the song roads untravled wow

- Awesome love it

It is a great album for Linkin park fans or even people just getting to know their music also I especially love Burn it down and castle of glass

- Epic

Best album ever

- Massive improvement!

After being disheartened by Linkin Park's previous album, this is a great comeback from the boys! Really enjoyed this album, my favourite of 2012. This is a must buy! My only wish would be for them to do a European tour. Keep up the good work guys!

- One of the Best yet!

As a fan of Linkin Park, possessing all of their previous albums, I'd say this is definitely one of their best pieces in a long time. A huge improvement since a thousand suns! I'd recommend buying this album.

- THE BEST

This much be the best album I have ever heard!!! So touching, castle of glass got me into linkin park after hearing it from Medal of Honor: warfighter!

- Astonishing

This is amazing I absolutely live linkin park they are my all time favorite band. The only thing that I want them to do is to announce their next uk tour and to make a drum tab for drummers to learn to play their songs

- Linkin park

Your not a linkin park fan if all you do I'd expect them to just keep sounding the same. Hybrid theory is my fab album of all time, but as the band change I change with them, Awesome album from an awesome band!

- Sad

I gave up on dear ol' LP after Meteora

- Amazing

Lol people who are slagging off this album really don't have a clue what they are talking about, hard to believe they can't see it even though they are at a huge minority! Living Things is what it is; the very best of Linkin Park in one album

- What happened to these guys honestly...

Was a big fan of linkin parks first two albums but this was poor, they've gone from a a really good rock act to a very poor bubble gum pop group. They've lost that original sound they had to mainstream pop. There's a word for that its called sellouts, obviously looking to appeal to the masses to make money. There are only one or two good tracks on this ablum.... If you loved the first two albums, you'll hate this!!! What a waste of £8 😡

- Great

Love how they are combining all the sounds

- Worst nu metal band ever

They think that they are so heavy but there not! Every album they make always sounds the same, nothing diverse, no blast beats, guitar solos or anything! They don't sound as awesome as bands like slipknot, godsmack, system of a down, korn, or any bands like that!! Linkin are just tame as hell!!! 1 more thing, don't buy the new album!!!!!

- The must have

I thought meteora was the best ever.. This one is right there with it. Love every song..

- Nice

It's a good album I think people should get it

- Returns to its roots? Nonsense

Sorry but this Linkin Park is not the one that made them famous, absolute pants. I really don't know what's happened to them :(

- Like a fine wine.

Yes, LINKIN Park's previous albums may be "their most preferred" but this album is fantastic, well I could say many words for this album but I don't think I'd have enough space. Perfection in my eyes and an also absolute MUST live! Seen them for the first time after being a fan for over a decade. They put on a show that is out of this world. I'll stand by them for the next decades to come.

- joe matic

this album is why u never hear about linkin park anymore. really poor.

- *SIGH*

Please! Just one more album like the old days i loved it back then burn it down is reminiscent of something like what i've done but the album like the past 3 are pooooor. People are forcing themselves to like their garbage as they want to love linking park like they used to. People say you have to adapt and the old versions would be boring now but i and thousands of people would love it. Please! Just one more!

- Mixed views

I honestly don't know anymore, there are some good songs in this album like "burn it down" and "castle of glass", but the rest of the stuff is completely terrible just like the thousand suns album. I want linkin park to go back to their original music like in Hybrid Theory and Meteora, to make more music like "breaking the habit", "forgotten", "numb", "figure.09" and more. Please Linkin park I know you are trying to evolve to adapt to your audiences liking, but you are causing me to slowly loose my faith in "good" music as artists such as Justin Beiber and Niki Manaji become more popular and release terrible "music". Thank you

- My fav song off album

Cause I'm only a crack, in this castle of glass! 🎶🎶

- Maybe a little too much change

This album is good don’t get me wrong but it does lack a little bit of the vibe in which LP used to deliver to us, with Hybrid theory, Metoria and minutes to midnight, they were classics, they changed throughout the course of years but they all had something in common which this one lacks, the meaning of nu-metal, with the electronic being the main basis of the albums beats, I do like it because it’s a change, but it’s just a little bit too much too soon, with the albums being more rocky and more metal, it brung out something on LP that we could not have anticipated from any other band, however, living things was just not really the LP I expected but with awesome songs such as burn it down, castle of glass and roads untraveled, they are my favourites from the album and I love them, but I couldn’t keep listening over and over again, however with they’re other albums I could, but without question it is a good album and would recommend you listening.

- WHY IS IT ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS? :D

>>>???

- LINKIN PARK!!!

I'll admit old linkin park (hybrid theory) etc were awesome but this album reminds me of that old LP I'm tired of people saying old LP were better there is no old LP new LP there is just LP

- Linkin park is lost in the echo

This album does not go back to the roots of hybrid theory or meteora if it did where is the aggression of the old stuff this band is going too mainstream, going into using computers rather than actual instruments too much I just wish they'd go back to the old stuff but mix it up a little bit. the band has lost Their way quite a lot since minutes to midnight.

- Disappointing

If iTunes did refunds... Hybrid meteora and minutes are classic stuff... This is nothin on them, very unfortunate

- Another perfect album

No words love it

- Must-own!

Every song is incredible. Roads Untraveled is the best song on the album for me. Only speed bump is the song Until it Breaks, other than that amazing!

- Demands to be listened too

This is one of those exceedingly rare albums that grabs hold of you and demands that you listen to it. Turn it up loud and bathe in the atmosphere and lyrics. A must have for any Linkin Park fan.

- Grown Up

This is my first review, but I felt this album is worthy. I first listened to Linkin Park (Meteora) in 2004, when I was 9. My love for them grew and I saw them live in November 2010. As I've grown up, it seems Linkin Park have too, both with rough patches along the way, but I feel this album shows them reaching maturity. It's a spectacular album, take the time to sit and listen to it, and concentrate on it. As a die-hard Linkin Park fan, I can highly recommend this.

- Linkin park fan

Always love it

- Rockin

Love this album listen to it all the time deffinately a must buy if your a link fan!

- Good

This is so so much better than A Thousand Suns. (which was awful) They look like they're improving again now, hope the next album can be another step up from this, it may be their last!:'( But yeah, its a good album, heavier than their last album

- Found the echos!

Absoloutly phenomenal album - for those who are complaining about the new music, lost in the echo is probably the nearest that you'll find to old linkin park, but the rest of the album is very reminiscent of minutes to midnight - great band great album

- Honestly don't understand all the hate

Now I'll admit that this isn't the returned to Hybrid Theory that everyone wanted. But if 35 yr old Linkin Park was singing about Finding Somewhere They Belong, they'd get accused of not growing up ( I do like Somewhere I Belong but it was my best example). Instead this album infuses everything that they'd done to this point. I'll admit that I do prefer Meteora, but this holds a solid 2nd place. It blends their earlier heavier stuff with the electronic experimentation of A Thousand Suns. Just because it's different, doesn't mean they've sold out. Just because it's electronic doesn't mean it's pop radio friendly and just because it's poppish doesn't mean it's bad. Best songs are... Lost In The Echo Lies Greed Misery I'll Be Gone Skin To Bone Powerless

- Amazing!!!

Probably the second best likin park album ever!! Burn it down is a brill song!!

- Love love love it

It's amazing I love burn it down and castle of glass best but every song is amazing. Amazing

- No!!!!

Now I've always been a believer in LP but I'm sorry I couldn't hear one guitar, drum or anything I can relate to as rock. Well I criticise it but it's average compared to their previous albums, I would recommend buying I'd stick with meteora.

- Bands change

To people who are don't like this album, well bands change. I'm a massive metal fan but I love this album so stop hating.

- Its Ok/Good

ive tried to get into with there new sound with a thousand sun's, in a couple of track's i did but other's left me 50/50. However with their new ablum the problems still remanded, i like half the track's and the other hmmm..... Plus hard core LP fan's are going to kill me for saying this but the screaming doesn't fit in with 75% of the song's just seem's a little fourced to me. which is a shame since that is what gave this band a really stand out differnet's from over metal bands, well that and the "metal rap". Over all its a 6/10 for this album, isn't what u wanted or need from this ablum. Some song are good others erm, sorry people. however it is better an the last one :L

- getting better

tbh we all know they are not as good as we know they can be , but i do think theses songs are a step in the right direction compared to their last album!

- Still puzzled

I just can't figure out if I love this album or if it's okay. Confused and it's been a while now!

- Crap

This is liken park gone soft !! Or just selling out so more people buy it

- Definatley Different...

This new album is very different to their older stuff, as you would imagine, I think the jump in different styles may be a bit harsh to those hoping for another Meteora, The general melodies and chord progressions are quite different to their older stuff, The whole album feels quite adventurous and experimental. Overall if you listen to it with an open mind, diregarding their previous albums, which of course is very difficult it is a good album...

- Not rock

Linkin park are not rock!

- ?

This is as close as they've come to their old selves in a long time. Well worth a listen.

- Dissapointing

Having listened to Hybrid Theory and Meteora for quite some time I loved the heavy driving guitars, the solid baseline through drums coupled with amazing vocals and I was really exited for the new album and very nearly pre ordered it. Well I'm bloody glad I didn't! This album has abandoned everything that has made Linkin Park one of my favourite bands, there isn't one guitar or drum kit in sight, and the singer seems to have tamed himself down. Do yourself a favour and don't buy this, go listen to some real LP like hybrid theory and Meteora
