This Broadway show is a hilarious take on the classic ONJ '80's movie with music by ELO. What some reviewers don't get is that it's a spoof. It sounds heavy-handed & overdone because the show is a satire of the original. Kerry Butler & Cheyenne Jackson rocked this!

Oh, puh-leeze! Not everything works on Broadway. Talk about overly dramatic! After listening to the sweet, gentle, soothing voice of Olivia Newton-John and the unique sounds of Electric Light Orchestra and how they perform these classics over the years, it nearly gave me a headache to hear these great songs murdered. If you have never heard the soundtrack and want to hear how these songs are to be delivered correctly, then buy the original soundtrack and not this poor excuse for a tribute. In some cases it is like ONJ and ELO on helium while trying to mimic the muppets. Laughable!

Cheyenne Jackson can sing but the rest was just awful. Get the original motion soundtrack instead.
Kerry Butler is such a star! What a gifted performer. This album is a guilty pleasure..great for listening in the car when no one can hear you singing along!
