- What!?

What happened to my MB20! Now they sound like some teenie bopper light weight. Shame Shame record industry!

- Lo mejor

Esté álbum muestra una evolución completa de esta gran banda. Thomas y su grupo se han encargado de mantener las raíces y armar un rompecabezas perfecto de doce piezas.

- Sigh

These guys have officially jumped on the dance-pop bandwagon with Train, Kelly Clarkson, and Maroon 5. Matchbox Twenty was a very mellow sounding band who made deep and confessional post-grunge music. I'd say out of all of the songs off this album, "Parade" was the only track that keeps with that original Matchbox Twenty style. "She's So Mean" takes a little getting used to, but it feels reminiscent of "How Far We've Come" with a hint of "Real World". The rest of the album is mostly a collection of uninspired pop songs made to be played on the dance floor. (I say mostly because "English Town", although not that great, at least tried to harken back to their 90's sound.) Even when Rob Thomas went solo for awhile, I still thought he was good. He managed to transition into a more mainstream sound very well and made undeniably catchy songs that could be considered the lost MB20 albums. This is not even close. There really isn't any creative energy or any connection on a personal level. Alternative rock bands in general, just can't pull off dance-pop music. Bottom Line: There are some good songs to be found on here, but don't waste your money buying the whole album. Just stick with the first two.

- North

Certainly not their best, but still good stuff

- I love matchbox twenty!

They have so many great songs but there scattered across different albums. Consider making a "best of matchbox twenty" album or something?

- Like it

The album is growing on me, like all the MB20 albums do - probably come back and give it 5 stars in a few weeks. Rob Thomas has one of the coolest and most distinctive voices in rock and I never thought that a Matchbox Twenty song that doesn't have Rob as the lead vocal would appeal to me. But "The Way" has made it to my all time favorite top 5 Matchbox Twenty songs.

- She's So Mean!

YEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH YOU WANT THIS! UNLESS YOU'RE MEAN!

- Real Life Application

Every song on this album was a song I used to describe a couple in my class. She's So Mean was when the girl was being rude to her boyfriend, but he was head over heels for her, so he dealt up with it. Then Our Song is when they broke up briefly and he couldn't find anyone he liked as much as he did her because no one else put up with him. But now they're broken up and dating other people because my school needs some mental help.

- Omg it's so good!

I have loved this group since the beginning in the 90's granted I was just a kid dancing around. But by the second album I was hooked by rob Thomas's sexy sultry voice. This new album is just as awesome. Hope to hear a lot more from them.

- AMAZING

At first, I was so disappointed. It just seemed sort of lame. Then I actually sat down and listened to the songs, and it's just amazing. The lyrics are awesome, Rob Thomas is awesome, both as usual. The concert is a must too! Just amazing and speechless.

- Nice job, but iTunes forgot something...

...and MB20 made a bad choice in their lyrics. And it makes me kinda sad....She's so Mean is Explicit, they don't make a Clean version. What a shame. The rest of the songs are really good, but guys, don't do that, it ruins the music. The rest of that song is great as well but...ick.

- LOVE

This album is perfect for any mood. Very easily relatable :)

- Our Song >

Say what you want but my favorite band is One Direction. I never really liked any other bands besides them... buT I LOVE MATCHBOX TWENTY. Rob Thomas' voice is perfection. OUR SONG IS MY FAVORITE SONG ON THIS WHOLE ALBUM IT'S PERFECT

- Way South

I love MT, and I was super excited when I heard they were coming back together and making another album. My mom and I went ahead and bought the whole album because we knew (or at least thought) it was going to be good. However, after listening to it a few times, I realized even though Rob Thomas sounded great in the songs, only about two really stuck out to me- "She's So Mean" and "Radio." None of the rest of the songs, while they have meaningful words in them, lack anything that made me want to listen to them in the first place. The songs aren't catchy, and unfortunately, you can't survive in the music business unless you have a few great hits that keep coming. I'm sorry, Matchbox, but you can do better.

- Just buy the album already

Sleeping at the wheel saved my life. Literally. Why are you even reading the reviews just buy it already!

- Not best, but not bad

Saw them in concert and why i bought this. Is a good album, not their best, but a few really good tracks on here. The rest is pretty good. But a Matchbox fan to the end no matter what

- Haten?

Why are so many people haten on she's mean?

- Awesome cd

If you like MB20 you will love this cd every song is great!

- I Will

This song is soooo under rated!

- I like all matchbox 20 songs

"She's so mean" is good song i don't were all the criticism is coming from. I think Exile on Mainstream is still the best album i enjoy a lot of this album too.

- not good, not good at all

i only have two words: power pop.

- Not the best, but....

This album is really good. It's not the best Matchbox album, but you gotta love it for most of the songs.

- Again

Well done again! Love it.

- AMAZING!!!

After being off the scene for so many years, Matchbox 20 comes back with an amazing album. There's nothing about it that I don't love! So glad to have new songs that still sound so much like the originals that made me crazy for them! Well done guys!!!

- Very good for a new record

10 years has been wayyyy to long since these four incredible musicians produced new music! Their new album, NORTH is truly one of their best!

- Awesome!

Great song!

- Absolutely fantastic

Saw them live back in March on their North tour; they were just as good live as they are recorded. I still listen to this album all the time, there is not a single bad song on here. Overall, fantasic job.

- Not what I was hoping for

I had big expectations for this cd because I've been a fan of the guys since they 1st broke onto the scene in 96. But overall I wasn't that impressed with this cd. Hope the next album will be better. Still a fan though.

- Haven't lost a step!

So thrilled and amazed that they put out another album. The hiatus seemed to last forever and it was worth the wait. They haven't seemed to lose a step and this really feels like a Matchbox Twenty album. Truth be told, i haven't had enough time to fully absorb this album yet and I don't know if these tunes will stick with my soul like the rest of their studio albums. But it doesn't really matter if they do, it's them and I'm thrilled to have more even if they don't stick. One surprise on the album is the song The Way. It's good even though it's Kyle singing lead. Who knew? They'd probably be a really good band even without Rob, but they are legendary with both. Rob's solo stuff is great, but thank God they're back together. The band has always been the best backing to his voice, providing an essential feeling not available in his solo stuff.

- The Best!

They don't know how to make bad albums. This is one of their best, if not their best they have come out with. Every song is good!!

- Awesome!

I think this is the best album of Matchbox Twenty which i ever heard. The music is very rich and the album's cover looks very cool. And the most important thing in this album especially is there are a lot of songs that sound very good. So I love it.

- Awesome Awesome

Every song on this album is great. Matchbox is one of my favorite bands, this album is AWESOME.

- Unmatched Matchbox

This is a band destined to be in the RR Hall O' Fame and whatever other accolades can be heaped on em'. They as a group can do nearly anything and it's gold! As for this album; every song gets better every time you hear it (you'll want to hear it again).

- Mb20 your my favorite

Well I have every song matchbox twenty has and this album doesn't have the old matchbox twenty. Its not the rock fast music they had before. But before the album of north and adam leaving the band I liked mb20 because you get what you pay for in a sense. Like some albums you have one or two really good songs you want to buy mb20s old albums were not like that every song in the album was a hit single but in north I would say to get shes so mean it has some of the old mb20 in it, sleeping at the wheel, over joyed, and also put your hands up. If you buy those songs instead of buying the whole album your good. I wish we could have more of the old mb20 in this album.

- <3

I'm in love with this album. I "discovered" it about a year ago and I still can't stop listening to it! The music is great, the lyrics are great....well this album is just AWESOME!

- Great!

My fave band and this album doesn't disappoint. Love it!

- Awesome

Its just great

- Second review

After listening to this album again, I’m regretting having clicked the buy button. It’s not really worth the money. The songs are pretty weak and soulless. I know that you guys had a problem with Adam, maybe his clean living (fitness, no drugs or alcohol), maybe the age difference, maybe his dry wit, but I never would have expected that his absence could lead to such a drastic change in the sound of this band. This is not a real MB20 album. Pretty weak effort. Reducing my rating from three to two stars.

- More artists should just wait like this...

I'm blown away. Very much in MB20 character, style, and without overreaching with unreasonable goals of making up for 10 years. There's no need to make up for 10 years. This is amazing.

- I Will And the rest of the album

/\/\/\/\/\ that is my favorite song from this album… even though the melody could be considered depressing or sad, I think it is more pretty and nice, than sad. Yes, if I was in a touchy mood it could slightly make me teary. But it is a good song. BUY IT! BUT, I personally think the rest of the album (especially put your hands up, overjoyed, and she's so mean) isn't really good. They don't seem like the best songs and they could have came up with something a bit better.

- Band is great! Download experience was terrible

Strong songwriting, excellent musicianship and of course, Rob Thomas on vocals. Doesn't get any better. Unfortunately, experience was stained in that we ordered this via pre-order and download was faulty. At least two tracks are blank - they show as downloaded and run full length of track time with not a sound. Tracks are also identified incorrectly in our download. There are no downloads available to use - it's not that a couple tracks failed to download and we just need to complete the download. Wrote Apple / iTunes customer service and received no response. Months have passed. Finally bought cd to find out what we were missing. Will never pre-order again! Have to wonder if Apple is so successful they figure they don't have to respond to their customers? Many companies have made that mistake in the past. There is nobody close to unseating Apple anytime soon but, they ignore their dissatisfied customers at their own peril.

- where is the Rock

I am glad they changed their style but they started out rock and that is why everyone liked them now I feel a bit disappointed that Rob Thomas brought his pop role into the band. When he sings outside of the band he should be a pop singer when he sings with the the band he should be a rock singer. Or at least have a little pop and a little rock in each album.

- Fantastic!!!

Just left Hershey, PA concert and rob thomas is absolutely awesome, great voice, sings with such heart and I loved all their songs!! Keep singing! Forever!

- So great

I normally listen to metal about 90% of the time but Matchbox 20 has always been a guilty pleasure of mine (and the Goo Goo Dolls, not ashamed in the slightest). This is a great record and its clear in their long absence that Rob Thomas and Co. have only gotten better at their craft. This is going to be great for those long summer drives.

- Great album

Great album!!! Overjoyed is my top song from album. Great come back.

- Why?

I'm reading through these reviews, and i just can not seem to figure out why everyone love's "She's So Mean" so much....its hardly the best song on this album, not even my top 5. Start listening to 'Sugar' and 'Sleeping At The Wheel'

- Thank god

Been waiting for this for sooo long!!!!! Lovveeeeee

- Its awesome

Me and my dad have been big fans forever. This album is just one more thing to like

- LOVE!!!!

I've been a Matchbox 20 fan since the very beginning. I shaved my super long hair for tickets one year ;) I always have and always will love them. Rob does something amazing to my heart and soul ☺️

- Perfect

Loveeee this album and Matchbox Twenty!!!

- Some songs cut out/some don't work at all

How long is one of the songs I wanted to listen to the most and doesn't work at all after about 45 seconds. Other then that I think all the songs work and they are all amazing.

- beautiful matchbox twenty

I LOVE THIS ALBUM! I also love all their older songs. I find it great how they have some songs that are similar to thier older albums, and some that have a new twist. people can't expect them to make every album the same, they are just trying to attract a broader audience. Sure these songs aren't the same as the old favourites like if you're gone, unwell, 3Am, or back 2 good. But nor should they be the same, that takes away from the beauty of writing new songs in the first place! rob thomas continues to have the voice of an angel and the band as a whole is as amazing as ever. I am so excited to go to the london ON show, I will probably cry. I am extremely impressed, love, A real matchbox twenty fan <3

- Kyle Cook Amazing

I cant tell you how inspired I was after listening to "THE WAY"! Kyle ....I look forward to many more to lift and build our spirits out here in the real world!!!! Thank you for writing music worth listening to !!

- Thank goodness for good music!

Love Rob and love the band. Funny thing is their first single is one of my least favourite songs on the album. So many good songs. If your a fan, this will not dissapoint.

- Good job! MB20

It is a very good album! I liked it a lot but there were a couple songs that didn't quite live up to expectations

- Awesome

This album is incredible. MB20 has kept true to their classic sound and infused a breath of fresh, modern sound. If you're a MB20 fan to any extent, I can't imagine you not enjoying this album. Worth the wait.

- Not Matchbox 20

On my last review, i stated i would give them a chance. But i tried for awhile now, and i just can't listen to this album. The only songs i can even listen too, and aren't too bad, are I beileve in everything and the way (because Kyle sings it). The rest of it sounds like a dance record mixed (and i do mean mixed) with some really easy listening songs, i must also say that lyrically this is there worst album yet in my opinion. Sorry........I still love the old stuff. and maybe the next album will be more rock orientated.......Hopefully.

- Very well done

This has to the best album matchbox 20 has delivered. Every song on first listen flows effortlessly. If you like the title track you will love this album.

- Matchbox 20

Love this album. Have been a fan for a long time. Glad they finally recorded again!

- Great!

This album was great! So nice to have a new Matchbox Twenty album!

- I absolutely love this album!

This album is a must if u like awesomeness!! :D

- <3

Loved Matchbox 20 when I was a teenager & love them still!!!!!

- Consistently great!!!

I absolutely LOVE this album. I very rarily leave a review unless I really feel like the whole album is a worthy purchase. THIS IS!! Each song has it's own flare. There is some Depech Mode-y sound in a song or two, 80's-ish in another,..and the debut (or is it a debut??) of the singer in the song, "The Way?" LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!! Don't get me wrong, I love Rob Thomas but the change was nice!! Not sure that the song would have been as great otherwise. This song makes me want to sit down with the band and get the skinny on each song! lol. Okay, this is getting a little too long so,...YES! Amazing! BUY!!!! Fav songs: The Way, Radio (which I predict to be the next single release), Like Sugar, She's so mean

- luv!!

Luv luv luv this cd. matchbox is back.!!! its been way too long and they did NOT disappoint!

- Get Your Act Together iTunes

The albums great, but I can't listen to a bunch of the songs because iTunes screwed up. Most of the songs will play for 20-30 seconds then cut out and some songs won't play at all. But what I can listen to is amazing.

- Classic Rob Thomas

...Not Matchbox Twenty. Nonetheless Thomas' songwriting will always make a great album. There are a few songs that borderline mimicking Maroon 5 (Like Sugar, Put Your Hands Up). But there also classic Rob Thomas written songs (Our Song, She's So Mean. English Town) that resonate from Cradlesong and Something To Be... Like Sugar reveals an almost more sexier side of Still Ain't Over You from Cradlesong. Overall, it's an expected great album from a great band and songwriter!

- MATCHBOX 20

Matchbox 20 is the BEST Awesome Album!!! Awesome group!!!

- Good as always, but not great

Rob's voice is beautiful as always and there are some cool arrangements, but I really love when Matchbox Twenty experiments and flexes their musical muscle with something unqiue (Busted, Downfall, You Won't Be Mine) It seems like every album has had at least one stand-out track for me where their abilities really shone beyond mainstream radio-friendly play. I don't feel that stand-out moment on this album. Still lovin' it. Great driving on a (soon to be) fall day album. Esp. Put Your Hands Up & Our Song. I have been a Matchbox fan since the days that it was 20, not Twenty. I still happily bought the album first day it came out, but didn't hear that stroke of genius I always find buried in their other work.

- Matchbox 20!

It's such a great album! Catchy songs and it's just awesome

- Fantastic

Huge MB20 fan from the beginning. This album doesn't disappoint. I hope this is a sign of more albums to come as I can't get enough of their music.

- NORTH.

MATCHBOX TWENTY.

- MB20 is back!!!

Love the album, it's on repeat. Can't wait for a Canadian tour.

- North

BRILLIANT job boys. Best band ever! Absolutely amazing could not have been happier, such variety of songs, the fun ones, the beautiful slow ones and the really catchy ones. Just luv our song, radio, I will, put your hands up, overjoyed, I believe in everything to name a few but luv them all so much. Bring on the concert n the meet & greet cannot wait

- Mature

It has taken a few listens but I have come to the conclusion that this is a fantastic album. Forget expecting "Yourself or Something Like You" Matchbox 20, these blokes are 2 decades older, so the culture of music - and of these musicians - is also. This album is Matchbox 20 as they should sound now. The 6 tracks on "Exile" were a more mature sounding Matchbox and so this has followed the procession. "The Way" is a masterpiece and Kyle Cooks vocal is sublime. Rob Thomas is still Rob Thomas - you can't help but believe every word he is singing. The honesty this band still operates with is stunning. I love it!!!!

- Great!!!

Love the album but she's so mean sounds a lot like 21st century breakdown by greenday. Keep it up.

- LOVE IT!!!!

Amazing album :)

- Amazing!!!

LOVE the new album!! Have listened to over and over again!!!

- Best song

It's the best song ever

- Matchbox 20

Fantastic album, have been playing it over and over .. Love it and can't wait to see u guys live..

- North is so awesome!!!!

This so awesome!!! Just like the other album they brought out!! I like all the tracks... I really like she so mean and over joyed and how long and radio.. This album is so great!! I hope matchbox twenty make more albums!!!

- North by Matchbox - the only way is up!

Take your Matchbox, flip it over and you'll find out it's just as brilliant on the other side. This album is a true collaboration of the songwriting talents of Rob, Kyle and Paul. Sleeping at the Wheel is Rob at his best, while Put Your Hands Up couldn't be more different with it's dance beat yet is surprisingly enjoyable. I'm also crazy about English Town written by Paul Doucette which I could listen to over and over. I loved to hear Kyle sing solo on The Way which he co-wrote with Paul, he is so good. I bought the deluxe version because I can't ever get enough of Matchbox Twenty and there is a gem of a song in the bonus tracks. You are missing out if you don't listen to I Believe in Everything, written by Rob, Paul and Kyle. This song is outstanding and I think it should be released as a single. It's just as amazing as Overjoyed and She's so Mean. Each time I listen to this album I find something new to appreciate and love. Can't hardly wait to see them on stage in four weeks!!!

- Awesome

Great variety and all great songs!

- Alright

I have to say I didn't think they were still going around but now this album has come out so they must have been hiding somewhere! And I must say I do like put your hands up and she's so mean :)

- Rock is back

Excellent to see all the real musicians ( ie bands ) making a comeback. Can't wait to see them in concert and really enjoy this cd

- overjoyed

i love overjoyed! can't wait for it to start playing on the radio.

- North is great

Great album!! Loved it more after seeing them live in Adelaide!!

- Good matchbox 20 (but different)

I think Rob and the guys did well, it is different but it has been a decade since they did a full album and the music industry has changed completely since More Than You Think You Are. To me if you get rid of put your hands up and our song (more experimental songs which do not work in my opinion) it is a good album and pretty decent considering they haven't done a full album in 10 years. Well done mb20 good album.

- great album

hate the song she,s so mean, love the rest. put your hands up is a bit different from the rest, and a nice change, so perhaps a dance album the next time. here,s hoping.

- Matchbox twenty's North album

Love this new album its awesome was worth the wait and my 2 favorite songs are She's so mean and Put your hands up very catchy songs

- Ouch...

The only reason I'm giving this album two stars is because of English Town. That song has completely bowled me over and I easily consider it one of Matchbox Twenty's best. I cannot say the same for the rest of the tracks. I know it's been 10 years and a lot has changed in that time, but it's still baffling how a band can go from great pop songs like Unwell to such awful radio garbage like She's So Mean or Put Your Hands Up. I know they've always been a mainstream pop band but even so, North sounds really phoned in.

- Doing what they do best

This shows the evolution of some true artists doing what they do best, producing great music that trendy journalists will criticise and the fans love. Long may they remain in exile on mainstream!

- Amazing

Mix of ballads and chart toppers. A must have album.

- Matchbox Twenty all da way!!

Baught this album because I knew shes so mean was awesome. SO'S THE REST OF THE ALBUM!!!

- Very very good.

It's good, and with each listen just gets better and better. Soon enough it will be great. Been a huge fan since 1996.

- They're back!

Awesome.

- Off the hook

Congrats on the album guys, great as always

- OMG

Awesome !!!!!!

- MB20 are back

Ive had this playing over and over scince i bought it. So good to see Rob and the boys back in fine form. Been waiting so long for this album. ''Parade'' and ''Overjoyed'' are simply beautiful, ''Put Your Hands Up'' and ''radio'' are so much fun to listen to. I admit to expecting a bit more of pop, but im glad that its not the case. Matchbox 20 songs have lasted nearly twenty years that are still popular and the songs on this album will be no exception. All in all absolutely love this album. Welcome back boys.

- As good as ever!

The boys are back with a CD as good as any of their others. I have been playing it non-stop! Great mix of classic MB20 pop songs and more relaxed, cruisy ones!

- great :D

i found this album great. good lyrics and good beat definetly worth buying :)

- BLODDY FREAKING AWESOME

I have been waiting that long for it! And it's brilliant, Rob I love you!

- Can't make up my mind

I like it, I hate it, I can't make up my mind, the songs are still very catchy, but I think I just live in the 'yourself or someone like you' days, every album up to exile on mainstream I loved and now the title of the last album is confusing as this album is more mainstream than anything. I love rob Thomas's voice so I still enjoy the album, but it's just so different to what I know I love. But really can't fault its quality and it will stay on regular rotation; I guess I'll get use to it. Any Ron Thomas fan it's definitely worth a buy.

- Put your hands up people!

Matchbox 20 are back! Love the new album! Keep it up! By the way Put your hands up is the best!

- Awesome The Boyz are back😍

Excellent

- Never cease to amaze!!

Matchbox twenty have done it again, an album full of songs with meaning, the ups a downs of life are brought to life by these amazing musicians. Been a massive fan since there beginning and getting to meet and see them in Adelaide was an amazing experience. Well done guys xx

- This is pop?

I love matchbox 20 but this album is lacking compared to the previous ones. Push, unwell, and real world are my favorite songs. And how is this album in the pop genre?! It's rock. Overall it's a good album but also listen to their previous songs :)

- Fresh and still Amazing Matchbox Twenty

Fantastic album that is relevant to today's music but still the Matchbox Twenty you loved all those years ago. Worth the buy.

- Awesome

Best album I've heard in years. Has some amazing, catchy songs.

- Matchbox twenty rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the best albums in history!!!!!!!! If your read this you must buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- definitely worth the wait.

The whole album is incredible. I knew from the moment I heard the first song I knew I would love it. Thanks MB20 - see you in Sydney!

- Another Win!

The Matchstix have done it yet again! Lyric & melody bliss

- Love it .<3<3

If your expecting Yosly, by all means go listen to that! I've been a fan since push!! & I love there older stuff, that said North is just plain amazing,Beautiful & Brilliant. I think Overjoyed is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Carnt wait for the tour, but the album is so worth the money thanks boys love it

- Loving it!!!!

The music is great and the tracks are as well… my favourite is overjoyed……Thank you Matchbox twenty….

- Quality stuff

With every new album you need to give it 3-4 listenings before you can judge. The more you listen to these songs you can only come to the conclusion that, yes they are different to their older stuff but most of the songs are quality tunes that will grow on us all. This new album is catchy, original and enjoyable. Good to hear them back with some new stuff. One criticism is I wish there was more songs with just Rob and the piano.......those types of songs is why I fell in love with MB20 in the first place.

- Love it

Parade is by far the best song, followed by sleeping at the wheel

- matchbox 20

just awesome as always! truly a band of talent....

- amazing

English Town is one of the best songs i have heard in a while overall a very good album

- Moving with the times...

I guess M20 is moving with the times, especially using she's so mean as the lead single, which is quite poppy. The album is solid without being spectacular, but unfortunately, there's just no tracks that have that distinctintive M20 feel from their heyday. Still worth getting for the fans, but don't expect to be blown away. Still a great effort considering their time apart since the last album.

- I love MB20 and Rob.

Perfect, as always.

- Class.

First 6 tracks are flawless. Check out 'Our Song' & 'Overjoyed'.

- Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

14 and love Matchbox Twenty. These songs are great but still not as amazing as 3am, Push, Long Day, Disease or Bright Lights. they have gone a bit to pop as in the same as everyone else. definitely need an album like Exile on Mainstream again.

- It's AWESOME!!!! :D

best yet, as a long time fan, i,ve been going to see MB20 since their first tour & have always loved what they do, but this collection is exceptional. it starts with Parade which is tune that just gets better & better the more you hear it. other high points include the fun of “She’s so mean” & of course the guitar rift in “the way”. but probably the best track on North is “sleeping at the wheel”, just listen to the drums build & build all the way through.

- Amazing

Can't believe it's been 10 years but well worth the wait !! Amazing album, amazing band

- Fantastic!

Been a long wait but finally a new album, great songs as you would expect from mb20,my faves are parade and overjoyed. Cant wait to see them in london next week! :))

- Woooo

Best matchbox twenty album yet..... Love 'the way' ;)

- Amazing.

Awesome album. Love it! Can't wait to see them in the UK.

- AWESOME

10 LONG YEARS. But it was worth it. Amazing record, love every song there is not one on here to skip. Cannot wait for the gig on the 18th.

- North

Absolutely fantastic!!! Have come to expect nothing less, never disappointed!!

- :(

Been looking forward to a new mb20 album for a long time, and have to be honest and say that I am a little disappointed with this effort. There are however some great songs on here that I will come to love, with 'the way'(kyle cooks vocals are outstanding!), 'parade', 'radio', 'English town' and 'I will' stand outs for me. But to me the album lacks a little bit of conviction, it feels more like they were forcing themselves to try something different (and coming up with some cringe worthy songs in that process). I guess I just expected more from such a long gap between records. Still one of my favourite bands of all time, and want them to keep going, just expect better. More guitars, more orchestra, more soul, more power and less synth and poor attempts at 'dance/pop' next guys please! Only my opinion.

- Most consistent album I've heard for years.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who rates their albums track by track but this album is the first in many a year I can't rate a single track worse than 3* with the majority a 4 or 5*. I just can't stop listening to it. I've always had a soft spot for Matchbox Twenty and bought each album but although there have always been some standout tracks, none come close to this. I'd highly recommend the Deluxe version of the album just for the "I Believe In Everything" bonus track. Now just to see them Live. The iTunes Festival performance just makes me want to see them live even more.

- Awesome

Loving every song on this album. Been worth the 10 year wait (notwithstanding Exile on Mainstream and Rob Thomas' solo projects). Can't wait to see my favourite band ever sing some of these live at SBE on 18th September

- Room for Improvement

I recall when I was 14 and my dad placed this CD into the stereo, and then proceeded to hand me the case for me to inspect. I remember thinking 'there is a strange fella with glasses looking at me...'. Then, like a clap of thunder, the drums of 'Real World' started, and I knew from that point on I had 'the song'. You know that song, the one that you will never forget, always relate with and listen to over 2000+ on your iTunes. Well, to me, 'Real World' was that. This band, Matchbox 20 (yes, 20!) had became part of me. However, with the bringing of 'North', I was so hopeful and confident I would be hearing and feeling that same vibe I got 8 years ago. Sadly, I did not. Sure, there are some good songs, maybe even great ones, but nothing I can say will be on the level of the previous albums. MB20 strayed from their roots and adjusted a bit too much to become more 'modern pop'. The techno machine sounding club like song(s) are cringe worthy and just not worth noting as MB20 material. Next time, I hope they lose the sync machines, pick up their guitars and sticks and get back to their roots.

- Matchbox are back

10 years is far too long to wait for a band of this quality to bring out another album. More than you think you are was an epic followed up by a sell out uk tour which included wembley arena. North is worth the wait, love it from start to finish.Bring on another uk tour!!!

- WOW

Awesome!

- Amazing

Best m20 album yet

- Love it

Been waiting for so long for this album. It's super! Buy it!

- Back with a bang!

Fantastic. Great for chilling out, housework and getting ready. Rob Thomas’ voice just gets better.

- Amazing

Waited so long for this album and now it's here!!! A must for any fan of American Pop/Rock!!! Can't wait to hear it live, from start to finish a brilliant album!!!

- V.Poor

Fave band since Oz 1998 Have seen me through good and bad all the way without a bad song... Apart from She's so mean appalling album all the dross on one album. Pop&synth just isnt Matchbox, wheres the Rock? Thankfully Live at Shepherds Bush played what made them special. Amazing Live Band just had a SHOCKER with this album! Forever Decently Unwell...

- Awesome

Finally they are back! Most underrated band.

- Not their best work

I am a long time fan, I have travelled many miles to see them live twice, bought all of the albums etc. Unfortunately this is more of a Rob Thomas solo album than a Matchbox 20 album. It is very much a "pop song" album and apart from "she's so mean" has no stand out songs unlike their previous albums which still sound amazing after all of this time. I still cannot wait to see them live again, but I feel that they have sold out a little with this recent album.

- My favourite album of 2012...

They've come back better than ever, and I have just fallen in love with this album. And you should all just buy it because I promise you will not regret it!

- Not good enough

As the title says....for a band with such a rich history of great pop/rock classics, this is some way below their best. Nick gordon's review is spot on. More a Rob Thomas album. 4-5 songs are decent, with only the album opener 'parade' being on par with their previous work. So disappointed after such a long wait. Will still see them live and support them..... Maybe next time lads? :(

- Gutted

Over the last weeks I have read many critics reviews of this album about how poor it is in disbelief, but I am pained to say I agree, I have been a massive mb20 fan since back in the day, but this new material is verging on cheesy with no direction to it, the anthems just are not there and the rock is missing, sorry matchsticks but I'm disappointed, and I won't be the only 1.😒

- Well worth the wait

.... But maybe not quite as long next time? Everything I expected and yet more as well some matchbox 20 standards but with the odd bit of something different. What never changes though.... The only band whose every album I love from start to finish on the first hearing. No "growers" here... Just exactly what it says on the tin ... Classic Matchbox 20!!!!

- AMAZING!!!

Coming from a long term fan, this and the gaslight anthems new album are the two best albums of the year! :D

- My new favourite album

Ok, so I'm more than slightly biased. Been a fan since Tabatha's Secret and have been lucky enough to watch Rob and Matchbox live on numerous occasions on both sides of the pond. One of the best live acts around and the new songs will surely become fan favourites on the upcoming tour. Personally, I can't wait to hear English Town performed at SBE in London in a couple of weeks and fingers crossed at The Roundhouse for the iTunes the following night? Well worth the wait, see you soon guys
