This is a solid AC/DC album that starts with a classic track and tends to loose a bit of steam in the second half as the hooks and chorus for those tracks do not seem to be as memorable - solid but just not as top notch as some of their other material up to this point in the early 80's. A very underrated AC/DC track is Let's Get It Up - this track and the title song are the killer songs of the album. Other highlights on this album are C.O.D., Inject The Venom, Evil Walks & Snowballed.

Good album I don’t know why but I’m always listening to “C.O.D.” It’s a killer tune
I know this is not a review for "back in black", but after that they just tried to make their music sound EXACTLY like it to keep people listening. This is ok, the first song "For Those About To Rock" is the best song on this. If you're new to listening to AC/DC and hear this album first, you might think its good, but then you'll hear "back in black" or anything before that and pretty much forget this existed. I'm a huge AC/DC fan, really. But not so much for most of the work in the 80's/90's after Back In Black. I'm not a hater, and do not want to offend anyone that is crazy over this album.
i bought this the day it was released and i still love it!

Whilst not in the same outstanding league as their previous album Back In Black, this is still a solid AC/DC production. The title track is the best on the album and became one of their concert staples. For Those About To Rock has every right to be in any AC/DC fans collection.
THANK YOU - WE SALUTE YOU AC-DC

Shouting, bawling, with the same old riffs. I want my money back! Shows the Aussies are not a patch on us Brits!

For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) (shortened to For Those About to Rock on its cover) is the eighth studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It was released on 20 November 1981 in the United States and on 27 November 1981 in the United Kingdom. The album is a follow-up to their highly successful album Back in Black. For Those About to Rock has sold over four million copies in the US. It would be AC/DC's first and only No. 1 album in the U.S. until the release of Black Ice in October 2008. In their original 1981 review, Rolling Stone magazine declared it to be their best album. In Australia, the album peaked at No. 3 on the Kent Music Report Albums Chart. The album, recorded in Paris, was the third and final AC/DC collaboration with producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange. The album was re-released in 2003 as part of the AC/DC Remasters series.
