- Hats off to roy harper

One of the best delta blues songs of all time, it's only annoying if you don't understand great soulful blues and where it came from. Robert Johnson pretty much the one who started it all when he sold his soul to the devil at the crossroads would agree me. Robert Plant delivers one of his best vocals, yet very underated amongst the greatest blues songs of all time because it was made in a time where boogie blues was more popular.

Different from their first two albums, but just as essential as anything else they've ever done.

My favorite Zeppelin albums are probably 4, 2, and this one. Buy it, you won't regret it. *RANDOM FACT* this album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been certified 6x Platinum in the US for shipments of 6,000,000, and 3x Platinum in Canada for shipments of 300,000.

This album is underrated but full of gems. overlooked sandwiched between 2 classics this more acoustic based jams sound as fresh today as they did in 72. Mastered for itunes means that ill be purchasing yet another format of this awesome album from the mighty Zep!! Peace!!

After hearing the EP from Greta Van Fleet, I was reminded how I used to love Led Zeppelin. It's been a decade or two, but I'm glad I was drawn back to these pioneers!

Bought three cassettes of this album, my girlfriend and I wore out these cassettes as it was our ( all nite music ) if you know what I mean,it's been 26 yrs since we've been together,she told me not long ago ,that any time she hears any of these songs that her heart gets full of memories, zeppelin rules

- Some Great Songs, But Not the

There are some truly great songs on here like Since I've Been Loving You, Immigrant Song and Gallows Pole, but I find it one of Zeppelin's weaker efforts. Some songs don't hold up well or just are not even songs (Hats off to Roy Harper). But it is still a solid record overall.

- Underrated

When this album was first released, nobody felt the same raw energy of Led Zeppelin II, so it was dismissed. They did not realize this album has some of the best acoustic tracks ever made. While Friends may be an aquired taste and Hats of to Roy Harper is my least favorite Zeppelin track, the driving Immigrant Song and Out On The Tiles will satisfy your rocker side. The real meat of this album is the songs like That's the Way, Tangerine, Bron Yr Aur Stomp, and Gallows Pole, great acoustic work.

- Too often overlooked ...

In my opinion, this album has always exuded the essence of Zeppelin. Preview any of the tracks and you can hear the pinnacle and prime of the band sewn into each song.

One of the most unmentioned riffs by Jimmy Page is on a track I have never heard anyone sing its praises, and is reason enuf to buy the whole "album" for your "record player:" "Out on the Tiles"! If u have never paid attention to the opening riff for this song, kindly do so now. Then buy this underrated album forthwith, pick up yer guitar and learn to master the entire collection of songs; then crank up your stack and impress the neighborhood!

With their third album, Led Zeppelin exemplified the incredible depth of their musicial talents, crossing over from their defining blues rock to showcase a softer, more complex body of work. This album represents the growing musical maturation of the band, which would reach its peak with Led Zeppelin IV the following year. Though it is not the apex of their musical prowess, Led Zeppelin III reminds us all of the ceaseless passion that Led Zeppelin had for their music and their desire to create a lasting and diverse sonic imprint on rock history.

my personal favorite led zeppelin album, very underrated. can listen through the whole album withut skipping a song. the acoustic aspect of the album is a nice break away from the hard zeppelin songs. beautiful album.

this, to me, is an amazing representation of led zeppelin. this album brings out all the best parts of their style, and i absolutely love it! i actually just bought the vinyl for this album at guitar center a few weeks ago since i love it so much!

- Led Zeppelin III

This is one of my personal favorite Led Zeppelin albums. This album has a great flow, track after track. Also, this album has great vocals, great drum solos, and great guitar solos as well. Finally, the instruments wrap around the vocals like no other, and intertwine perfectly. Definitely looking forward to the next limited play album, and extended play album from Led Zeppelin.

By chance the first Zeppelin I owned 20 years ago. years later after owning almost all their albums, this one is still my favorite.

One of Zeppelins best albums, Jimmy Page showed he is a GOD at electric and acoustic guitar and zeppelin isn't afraid to experiment.The first half of the album is good ole hard blues/rock zeppelin, with amazing fast paced songs like:the immigrant song,out on the tiles, and celebration day.The second half of the album is complex amazing folk/acoustic songs. Where Jimmy or all of the band for that matter perform fantastically in great tunes like:Gallows Pole,Tangerine,and Braun-Yr aur stomp. Overall an amazing album.

Whatever Beatles you were in a different period where your music was better. But, unfortunately the psychedelic stuff brought you down. Every Zeppelin song is good, and this is one of the top 3 albums of Zeppelin.

One of my favorite blues jams. The live version on "How The West was Won” is crystalline and gorgeous too.

Led Zeppelin III has always been one of my favorite Zeppelin albums. It's full of classics & some of Page & Plants admittedly favorite songs. This is a must for zeppelin fans, you will pass their music along to your kids one day. This is the album for one of those nights when you're sitting around chilling with friends & a cold one. Enjoy!

A very underrated album, but great none the less. Its a change of pace from the harder I and II, but the acoustic songs are great. All good minus Hats Off To Roy Harper.

Every album is unique. This one is funky and maybe the best.

After the hard rock adventure of led zeppelin 2, the band once again explored new material while keeping their signature musical ability and style. It features hard rock, blues, but most of the album is almost jam group material that comes off from the guys as mystic folk rock...every song here is a gem. While 2 and zoso get more attention, this album is still the band at its best. Buy it now.

- Great Acoustic Work

This is one of my favorite Zeppelin albums and it's too bad that so many overlook it. It displays Zeppelin's versatility in music to-a-t! Jimmy Page showed a mastery of the acoustic and electric guitars through the thumping "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp" and the heavy "immigrant Song". My favorite song on this album is "That's the Way" because it captures primal child-like innocence in a way that most of us cannot even conceive. What a beautiful, well put together, album!

- An overlooked jewel

This was the first Led Zeppelin album i ever bought. If you love acoustic songs you will love this album. It truly shows Led zeppelins versatility. My favorite track on here would have to be that's the way, but they are all great! except hats off it can come across as annoying. Other than that one of my personal favorites!
