This album has achieved recommend status, it's dark, gritty, & the beats are straight slammin'. What more do you need? Freddie stays true 2 himself & delivers a solid album.
Good to know that gangsta rap is still alive out there!
I've been listening to Gibbs since " Live from Gary Indiana ". Great lyrical ability and has substance. Instant classic
Really feeling his music. Dope album.
Gibb$ is on top & it dont take a rocket scientist to notice it .....am Ithe only one knowing this?
He is a diamond in the rough! The album is a straight fire!
Good album from Gangsta Gibbs, always grimy! always true! I believe him about Jeezy being fake cuz Gibbs always been real about/with his music.. so good album, and some great beats favorite song is "Lose Control"
Havnt really paid attention to gibbs before but this is FIRE!
Great overall album Freddie never dissapoints.
Gangsta boogie.... He keeps getting better. Salute gibbs on another one
Rap needed an album like this right now. Just cause your name Kanye or Jay dont mean you have hottest album out.. This ESGN is all around dopest album out, PERIOD. Full of straight hood fire anthems. Keep doin this Gibbs ill cop every album. What up #BIGTIMEWATTS
One day we'll realize we were listening to a legend
This album, like the rest of Gibbs' projects, will remind you much more of the 90s heyday of gangsta rap (Spice 1, MC Eiht, Scarface, Mobb Deep, etc.) than anything else out today. Gibbs is not concerned too much with stuntin or showing off the fruits of his labor. No. He just wants to let you know that he's thuggin' and he does so oh so well. ESGN is by far his most unapologetic and raw project. From start to finish it's nothing but shameless thuggery with little introspection. There is no "National Anthem," "One Mo Time," "Thug Psalms," or "My Homeboy's Girlfriend" on here. Gibbs is living in the moment, not reflecting on it. For those of y'all who already love gangsta rap, it's a perfect release. If you think you would grow tired of hearing essentially the same themes for 20 straight songs, then don't get it. Me personally, I'm just glad that there is at least one person left in the rap game who keeps it g like they use to. Gangsta Gibbs ho.
Gibbs is pretty much the only rapper that has a whole album where I don't have to skip a track. He always comes thru with a banger. A
The REALEST out ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐ฏ
top to bottom this album is just too fun....Gibbs is a genius
Great album! Real talk! Hip Hop needs more of this! Keep it Gangsta like Gibbs!
219 stand up !!!
I like this new album. But it's not his best work. I know he can do it better
Yo this guy is on fire and I just got in to him and man I gotta some dude got skills. All his albums r fire and this some is no different. Straight fire !!!!
Gangsta Gibbs music always go hard but this exceeded my expectations. The best album out right now people need to wake up.
Freddie Gibbs has come a very long way. The hard work he has put in is paying off and it really makes me happy to him where he is now. This is a instant classic. Sky is the limit with this guy trust me, his work ethic is unreal. Do yourself and the world a favor...BUY IT...THEN BANG IT!!!

Dope album
Best rapper doing it right now (along with Kendrick Lamar). My expectations for this were sky high and he did not disappoint. If you like gangster rap, it doesn't get much better than this.
He is doing for GI.
Classic project and the fact that it is not a mixtape is monumental. Back to the foundations of rap/hiphop/gangster rap with authentic street tails from the Midwest. If you love real hiphop in its pure form with great production that doesn't sound like this bubble gum trash out right now you'll love this album. Haven't heard an album I can just keep in rotation for a couple of years and as far as gangster rap its been a solid decade. GREAT ALBUM!!
simply amazing
Great Album overall. It has some of Gibbs' best songs to date such as Freddie Soprano, 187, Paper, the Color Purple, Eastside Moon Walker. The album has one flaw and that is its guest verses. They add nothing to the songs and some of the songs would be better off without them. Gibbs would have had a better album if he had fewer guests or better guest verses.
Thuggin...
He never needed Jeezy, this album should be number one on the charts. Real gangster rap here
Jeezy claimed he brought the "real" back, but Gibbs just brought the gangsta back - and he's lettin everybody know about it on this album. Amazing.
Whole thing is str8 killa
Gibbs goes in on Jeezy on this project, and to top that off he's got some of the REAL O.G.'s in hip/hop with the likes of Spice 1 and Daz Dilly. Welcome to the West Coast Fam Gangsta Gibbs, long awaited.
Freddie Gibbs kills this whole album! His beats bang and he has some sick lyrics that tells about his life love it!
freddie kills it again. banger after banger , vicious flows, gruesome lyrics., and its really his life.... buy this album now if you want to be happy.
greasy. mainstream rap is a joke, support a real g
I have been looking forward to this album for a longtime. Freddie lays down some of the sickest tracks right now. Congrats on an amazing album!
We bumpin that freddie gibbs in O-City man str8 up. Thomasfam outr
Plain and simple if you a Gibbs fan, or a fan of good gangsta rap then this is precisely what you want and have beed waiting for!
Best dude doin it. Production is stellar. No skippable tracks. Dude is a rare breed.
Freddie Gibbs Keep liven Rap life
Its Gibbs what else were you expecting
Much love to Gibbs doing it ,
Best album out from front to back every track is blazing.
Gangsta Gibbs drops a classic album and people out chea buyin gettin drakes album it's not even fair. Gibbs one of da 3 realist in the game along with yo gotti and lil boosie
GANGSTA GIBBS NEVER DISAPOINTS...best in the game dont sleep on this!freddie g is the truth...one of the best albums of the year good from the start to the end
Its worth the buy definitely but i think gibbs old mixtapes are much better i wish hed go back to his old style and choose different beats. He's sounding like a mix of west coast indie rock and jeezy beats on many of these tracks. Return to Miseducation and midwestgangstaboxframemuzik style or live from gary'! beat choice and flow
Gangsta gibbs the realest! This album won't even disappoint the most diehard fan.
Freddie Gibbs is the Man

This is the best gangsta rap since 2pac! The beats are dope and Gibbs is on point with all his rhymes.
Gibbs rapping is more on point then ever, and most features even manage to look competent next to his abilities (other then the amazingly goofy Big Kill, who is lovably terrible). More trap influenced then previous releases, there is still some more traditional Midwest rap on the album, though it isn't too obvious on first listen. Standout tracks include Eastside Moonwalker, 9mm, Hundred Thousand, and Paper. Not a perfect album, but I fail to see how an album with the rapper Big Kill featured could possibly be any better.
