About Eden by Sarah Brightman Album

Eden is the name of an album recorded by English soprano Sarah Brightman in 1998. It was released under license by Nemo Studios to Angel Records. Like Brightman's later album, La Luna, Eden juxtaposed pop songs (mostly sung in English) and opera songs (mostly sung in Italian). This was a departure from her previous works, such as Fly, which was performed almost entirely in English, and retained elements of Timeless, which was an almost entirely operatic work. Like Timeless it contains one rock ballad: "Dust in the Wind". The song was a huge success in Brazilian radios, due the fact it was used on the soundtrack of the telenovela 'Um anjo caiu do céu' (An angel's fallen from heaven). It is Sarah's biggest success in the country. The song "So many things" based on English Irish song "Women of Ireland".

I never thought I would write a two star review on Brightman but this is just a bad album. From pure the voice has gone toward five years oldlike. A try at Enya is poor but that is better than the kittenish attempts at the other rather pleasant tunes. Tu is by far the worst. Don't spend your money.

- Amazing - one of her best

She’s my all time favorite singer and this is one of her best albums. Un Jour il Viendra (my favorite), Bailero, Deliver Me, So Many Things, Nella Fantasia and Only An Ocean Away (second favorite) are the songs I listen to first.

- One of Her Strongest

Anytime, Anywhere, Eden, Only an Ocean Away and So Many Things are some of her best recordings. Deliver Me is other-worldly.
