I love love love Dollhouse and Carousel but Dead To Me had a messy production and Bittersweet Tragedy, although beautiful, was a bit too slow for my taste.

I remember getting this album off iTunes on may 27th 2014, I was more into jazz at the time and I’ve never heard a pop song since “good girls go bad” my cobra starship in 2010, but I got bored of it a year or two later, then I got way more into jazz, and when I was 20, I heard Melanie released this and I was like, “that one girl from the voice has a music career?!” And I looked it up and listened to it and I was shocked how good it was. Then a few days later I bought it on iTunes because no matter how many times I’d listen to it a day, I’d never get bored of it. And it was the only thing I’d listen to in the car, to school, to work, to the grocery store, everywhere. I’ve never been this into a musician since Katy Perry in 2009-2011 which again, I got sick of. And everyone in my family loved her too, that was 9 years ago, even to this day, Melanie, JVKE, and Montaigne are all I listen to in the car, but mainly Melanie. Sorry if this was long.

So beautiful. Melanie’s best song. I love how in this EP she didn’t have to drop the f-bomb a million times, she just wrote her music. You don’t need cussing to be cool. Bittersweet Tragedy has the sh word, but only once. A lot less than some other songs👀 Love this, wish Mel would do more like this.

This. Song. Is. My. Life. I absolutely love this song and how it calls out dysfunctional families. The lyrics, Melanie’s voice, it all flows together perfectly. This is one of the only songs that has actually made me cry (besides mockingbird by Eminem), and I just love it.

Why did she put Dollhouse and Carousel in another album and put Dollhouse in TWICE?! The four minute Dollhouse won’t play too.

I’ve been listening to Mel ever since DOLLHOUSE came out and I love this! Not as good as K-12 or CRYBABY ... but still really good Dollhouse 4.7/5 Carousel 4.2/5 Dead to me 5/5 💗 Bittersweet Tragedy 3.9/5 - I don’t like bittersweet tragedy that much. It is still a cute song! The rest is really good overall... 4.4/5

Dollhouse: 9/10 Great song, great meaning, great sound! Easy to relate to and a good creepy sound. Carousel: 9/10 Great, more great background music and vocal, and a great meaning. Dead to me: 10/10 a great meaning and sound, I like the more acoustic sound. It’s super great and easy to relate to. Bittersweet tragedy: 9/10 Great and sad also more acoustic then the first two.

And they don’t realize how HARD it is to write a song.Trust me I have tried writing music but it never works out. Instead I get carried away and off the subject. 2.
