This album is good if you are a new fan but that's about it, I have all her cd's and bought the infinity single so no need for this album, instead, how about releasing an album of unreleased/rare/b-side songs? I would love to get slipping away and I'm sure a lot of fans would buy the album.

She was terrible on an awards show and some people are tone deaf. If you did not see Jlo she knew it was bad. Always be my baby is the the best song and now she is too fake because she was just fine the way she use to be like in her first video.

Every lyric, every melody, and every melisma tells a part of my story. Mariah has been there through the good, bad, and the ugly. I can't believe I've had the privilage of listening to this amazing woman live out her dream. I'm truly thankful for the experience. People have often asked me if I had to lose a sense would rather lose my sight or my hearing and the answer has always been the same. My sight, because I couldn't imagine one day in my life without listening to Mariah sing! If you don't get on the ride you'll never experience the adventure. #Lamb4life

I LOVE this album so much, even though I know she already released one like this! Infinity is not my favorite song but I can still sing to it. The only thing I don't like about this album is the fantasy remix! Fantasy is my absolute favorite song by MC and I hate the remix but whatever:/ I'm only 14 years old but I still love Mariah and all her old hits! Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong generation! I hate how my generation doesn't appreciate this music as much as they should, but instead listen to trash like trap queen:/ Anyway I'll always love and support you Mariah to infinity and beyond....<3

I just watched Mariah perform all of these songs in Las Vegas. She did a fabulous job. It made me sad that she had to have a team of security to keep people off of her. She is an amazing vocalist and she has done an amazing job with career.

Her "#1s" compilation began a trend where Elvis, The Beatles and The Supremes among many followed suit. That compilation sold multiple platinum. However, Mariah fans have a myriad of choices of greatest hits compilations to sate their palates.....along with less intense fans. Adding a new single that doubles as the theme for her Caesar's Palate residency, "#1 to Infinity". It deems she has reached a point where radio is no longer an automatic. And last year's "I am Mariah" was newsworthy only for how commercially disastrous it was, besting to the not bad "Glitter" soundtrack. She is still in the top ranks of biggest female artists soooo she really has nothing to worry about.....all the way to infinity....because she long ago made her mark!

I get why diehard Mariah fans are not that enthusiastic about #1 to Infinity, but I think it's great for casual listeners and new(er) fans, as it contains most of her hits in the US. Some exceptions include Without You, Shake it Off, and Obsessed, which never reached the top of the charts. Overall the compilation is pretty solid except for that awful remix of "Fantasy." Using the live performance of "Someday" did not make any sense to me, but it was still good. Infinity is not the next Mariah classic, but it's a really fun song with clever lyrics aimed at Nick Cannon. Overall I really recommend this for anyone who wants to discover Mariah's music at a reasonable price.

Mariah's writes songs as if she takes the words from my mind and soul.. Mariah and I are a little alike.. We hide our feelings by pretending that we are strong, with an attitude as if we are better than everyone. We both are really emotional creatures and try to make sure that not even one person in this world knows it, other than God, of course. We don't even fully understand ourselves.. Why do we do the things we do or say.. We hold the feelings all in until we finally have a meltdown, and we try our best to make sure that nobody sees cause if they do, we will feel worse, even though we want the rescue from the man we're madly in love with... Yet, "You'll never know the real me.", we tell ourselves, as we cry... "We Belong Together", "Can't Let Go", and "I Don't Wanna Cry" running through our minds as we think about him.. Then "Looking In", "Close My Eyes", and "Can't Take That Away" running through our minds as we think about our insecurities.. Then the songs, "Make it Happen", "There's Got to Be a Way", and "Through the Rain" are running through our minds as we think about how we all must stand together and be strong no matter what.. To keep the faith, because love will be there, to guide the way.

Ignore the haters. So what if she isn't making giant hits today! Think about what should have to put out! She would have to release the same stuff as Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus with her voice! She has her fanbase and they love her! She has nothing to prove anymore - she will always be a star.

This album is an updated version of her “#1’s” release from 1998. She had 13 #1’s at that time, and she has collected five more since then so I guess it was inevitable that she would release an updated version at some point. And obviously since she is now in Vegas performing all of these hits in her show, it makes sense that it would be released now. It’s pretty much just released because they wanted a product out at the same time that she does these shows. As with other #1 hit collections from Mariah as well as other artists, chart positions don’t really represent the artists most well-known or most memorable hits. So that being said, there are a lot of her big hits that are missing such as “Make It Happen”, “Without You” and “Shake It Off”, that didn’t go to #1 in the US but are arguably more memorable than some that did. I would have preferred an updated version of her 2-CD “Greatest Hits”, so we would get a lot of those other big hits that didn’t necessarily go to #1 from all of her labels as well. I’m sure one day we will, though. I also wish that she would have put the original versions of "Fantasy" and "Someday". I understand she prefers the versions she put on here but those are not the versions that went to #1. And since this collection is more to celebrate her accomplishment of having one of the largest amounts of #1’s in history (spanning 18 years), it succeeds on that front.
