Sick album, sickest rapper out right now I could listen to Kevin Gates all day.

Most of the reviewers don't know what "rap" is it's LITERALLY just people making words rhyme and talking into a mic with music in the background. You cannot criticize based off that. Overall a great album, there's a reason 4 of the songs hit top 25.

This album is incredible. Ever since the release I've listened to this album at least once a day. The music speaks to you. He makes songs about the thug life since he was brought up in the thug life. If you listen to any of his songs you can tell he is definitely a gangsta. By reading the last sentence you'd think he's the average thug rapper, but he is not an average thug rapper. He also raps about his emotions and his depression, and finds a way to turn his love songs into thug rap at the same time. Kevin Gates has a vivid and unique mentality that no one else on the planet possesses. He has connected his life, pure emotions, and experiences to his music, which makes the entire album incredible. This is truly the best album of 2016, but unfortunately people are too uneducated and become judgemental of his music, leading Kevin Gates to become highly underrated. If you thoroughly listen to the album, then you will understand how incredibly talented the man truly is. Only one song on the album has a feature on it, and that song (which is jam featuring trey songz, Jamie foxx and ty dolla sign) is probably the least best song on the album. This proves Kevin Gates didn't even need a feature on his album. Him rapping alone in all his songs is more than enough to earn him an album that'd go multi-platinum. Kevin Gates deserves a Grammy for this album, because this is the best album he ever released. Best album of 2016

Gates is simply that dude. I've likes Gates since before his prison term and with each album big homie is just getting better and better. Real original music speaking about this mans true life experiences and emotions. His vocals match the beats perfectly, and his lyrics are nothing short of exceptional. I'm a HUGE fan, I'm glad this man is finally getting the shine he deserves. Every track on this album is fire and as usual I can relate to his subject matter. Right now there's no one better in the game. All hail the real King of the South...

Throughout this disc, Gates demonstrated his unique ability to creatively and contextually depict both joy and pain. The disc is an independent project balanced with the correct amount of collaborations, upbeat songs, and slow songs. On a 1-10 scale, I'd rate this disc a 7, which is excellent. It's affordable, and absolutely worth purchasing. This is the first disc I've actually sought out in years, and I'm happy I did. I am optimistic about Gates' future projects because after releasing a disc with multiple hit songs, the followup disc almost has to be a classic. The songs are rich with content and Gates style and delivery compliments and strengthen each song.
