I really like Usher but this album is no good. There's no rhyme or reason to it. It's just not consistent and there are no songs that stand out. I was hoping this would be great comeback but it's like he didn't even try.
This album could have been great. He learned his lesson from "Looking 4 Myself" and steered away from the Pop sound. But I realize now that Usher is a person that makes an album trying to sound like what is hot at that moment. That was the case with "Looking 4 Myself" and is the same thing here. "Hard II Love" is the perfect title to represent how I feel about this album. Singles like "Crash" (an undeserving flop) show that Usher still has the vocals to make another classic R&B album, the only thing is he doesn't want to do that, he only wants a #1 album, which is shown by all the mainstream sounding songs on this album. He is boasting way too much on this album. He is "rap-singing" way too much on this album. The quality of his lyrics fell off, hard. I must admit I did like some songs, such as the chorus on "Let Me", the chorus on "Missin U", the full "Rivals" song, "Crash", and maybe "Champions" but other than that, this album is filled with songs that will make you change stations when it gets played on the radio
I cannot stop listening to this album. Usher's vocals are supreme over the catchy beats. Miss U, Need U, hard ll love, FWM, Downtime, are my faves. You'll always be my favorite Usher!
I've never bought an Usher album but I had to buy this one! It is the best he has ever done.
Listening you forever this is a little different but I still respect it and love it favorite Jamz are bump and missin U
This album is ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ whoever says any different is a hater!!!!
GROSS
This album is Flawless
As a long time fan of Usher i believe hes gone into the wrong direction. This explicit crap is for kids and if thats what it takes to sell then im sorry but it wont cut it. Usher can sing why now does he want to sound like a young thug, rapper. Mr Raymond do what u do best and give us the stuff weve come to love u for .
Come on guys, Usher has been singing about the same thing for so long I'm glad he is going in a different direction. He is human and he has feelings like we all do if he wants to get raw let em Now ! I agree some of the tracks are questionable but he sounds great and the production is Nice or Dope. Let him live !
Sounds more like the Usher we grew to love. The raw honesty of the lyrics and the sound production makes this album one of his best. Make U A Believer, Bump, and Rivals r a few on worth a listen. I haven't had an Usher album on repeat since Confessions. Not comparing- Confessions is a classic but this album doesn't disappoint.
Legend dont disrespect usher
Stronger and Let Me are my favorite songs on the album. Stronger is my go to song when I feel down or when I just want something good to listen too. When I first heard this song I literally cried. Honestly I cried when I heard his album was outโบ๏ธโบ๏ธ๐๐๐
Poop
I knew I shoulda just purchased rival.Album Wack! Don't wanna rate it at all.
This album is absolutely amazing!!
Very nice, artist like usher has shaped the game and he's doing pop, neo soul, rob and hip hop! I love it! So far thank you for this album!
I'm absolutely enjoyed this album quality R&B music after 20 years in the game still dropping ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ forget the haters Usher keep dropping hits. Tell Charlamange to drop one of Clue's bombs for Usher๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Great Album !!!!
Just not feeling this album not even remotely
How this raw doodoo have ushers name on it? Tf
The last release was one of my favorite albums of all time. I've given this album several plays and not one of these songs have grown on me. Nothing catchy like we're used to from Usher. Feels like something he just rushed out, but he's had a long time since his last release.....
Usher has really fallen off "No Limit" is the only good song.
Crash โค๏ธโค๏ธ
I absolutely love Usher. He had ventured off a bit. Exploring other genres of music but has made his way back to unadulterated R&B. I can listen to this album from beginning to end. My favorite song on this album is "Tell Me". His vocals are amazing. I'm not sure why others aren't feeling this album but it's definitely worth a listen.
I LOVE this song. Great beat and just a good song to listen to, IMHO.
Usher's worst album
"Hard II Love"- ๐๐๐๐ After 4 years since the 2012 "Looking for myself" Usher has finally come back with an unique concept, that is fresh with an elevated sound finessed vocally only in how he can do best. This album is a good listen with elements of modern day R&B twisted with a touch of Trap Soul blended with sounds of today's Pop. Very catchy songs, elevated with modern beats that fit right into the 2016 scene from "No limit, crash, bump, missing u, Fwm, Rivals, let me," to name a few. This album is no "confessions" by all means. but is way better than his last work "Looking for myself" Usher embraces today's sound on this project without losing his touch. Being that said, I certify this album 4 out 5 Mic's ๐๐๐๐ Good modern day R&B album considering all the crap out there๐ keeping it ๐ฏ -Durrell "The Governor" Review
This album has a bit of new and old usher..I like it..still waiting for another classic like let it burn, u got it bad, climax, etc..but his voice sounds wonderful on each track!! Worth the buy for sure!!
Wonderful job on the Usher! This album is great from beginning to end. The tracks a different and yes it's a good mix of r&b and pop. Thank you for making great music! โค๏ธ Sheena
One of the most anticipated but disappointing albums of the year. Instead of quality love songs and club banging hits, we got an album consisting of fillers and tacky trap songs. Bye girl
This albums sounds way too young and immatute for Usher. I was expecting some nice smooth rnb ballads, uptempo dance tracks and a few hip hop collab joints......This album is none of that...Album is TRASH!
Now this is the Usher we fell in love with back then with "Comfessions". I fell like he fell off for a bit but with this album he reminds who he still is. People need to understand he's not that young man he was when he was making Confessions yet everything also Evolves, so he will never sound like that again but he can try and with that said this is a awesome attempt!
Disappointing. Haven't heard a good Usher album since "Here I Stand."
I love Downtime best song ever! But I don't like the others to much I feel like you could've done better. The album cover I really don't like, it's creepy and it doesn't scream Usher.
This has to be the first usher album that I'm not buying this is trash
The album is great. Not a single disappointing track on it. Very diverse sound; nothing predictable. My favorite is "Tell Me." I listen to this song and it takes me to a great "space" of reflection. Usher, your vocals have never sounded better. Thank you.
This album is everything right now. I love it!!!!!
This is fire! Usher stayed true to himself with also adjusting to the newness. I feel there are a lot of people that don't understand who Usher is as an artist and they just want the pop culture sounding redundancy.
You can definitely tell that he went beyond the R&B and soulful Usher that we have grown to love, but it's an okay album to say the least, only two songs really stand out to me besides that the album seems to just play on without having any catching hooks or memorable moments. I am not sure what the album stands for or even the purpose but, you may or may not like his "new sound " defiantly give it a try if you're curious.
What happened to usher's artistry in music. This album is the worst he's ever made. Was he like a zombie when he made this, and on top that the album cover is hideous. Usher you gotta do better brother or this one right here, you will loose me as a fan.
Where is the old Usher music that we use to love this just sounds terrible. He barely sounds like himself.
Stop with the preconceived notions and listen to the album! It's great and his most cohesive since "Confessions". "Tell Me" is one of his best songs of all time!
Usher does it again!
This album is highly misunderstood Usher tells a story here and is very relevant Hard II Love aren't we all but this really breaks it down Let Me is one the hottest on this album deff for R&B lovers Tell me for the bedroom prob one the best love making songs ever made.
There is no way in hell a voice like Usher's should be singing the way he sings on "No Limit". I don't even understand why that's acceptable. Your vocal skills should not be taken as a joke. It's not on every song but it shouldn't be on any. The music is barely R&B. It's either trap or some sort of alternative. "Missin U" and "Tell Me" are pretty good, and "Let Me" is very catchy, but songs like "Bump" (which sample "Pop That" by French Montana) are songs that I'm talking about. Artists that have been in the game since forever are starting to become the students instead of the teachers. They follow the trends instead of setting them like they use to do. I hope his next one will be a step up from this one.
I don't get why everyone is hating on this album & Usher?!? Have you ever heard of growth? The art of reinvention? In the music industry you HAVE to be constantly evolving. You have to always be willing to go outside your comfort zone or you fade away... I understand that it's not 8701~part 2 or confessions 2.0. But, it's not supposed to be!!! In order for an artist to keep up with younger, up and coming artists, you have to be constantly creating new sounds, new hooks, new music. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT USHER IS DOING & DID WITH THIS ALBUM! He's not staying stuck in the past, so why are you??? I understand that his past songs evoke a memory or feeling when you hear it come on and that's great! But, why should Usher stay stuck in the past, just because it was the best years of YOUR life! This new album has strengths and weaknesses. Usher is trying out many new things on here & introducing sounds/beats we haven't heard from him in the past. That gets me excited! It's all in this album & he's for sure telling a story of what he's been going through since he last released music. There are a few songs that sound really the next one, which is not unlike the younger artists coming out with their freshman albums. But, there are stand alone hits that I was immediately in love with! My favorite song is "Make U a Believer".. It has everything that's Usher, but with a new attitude & flair. It's an instant classic. I like his collars & it's nice to see an artist who doesn't release an album that all songs are a collab withh 27 different artists. Usher can and always will be able to hold his own. I don't think listening to 1:30 or less of a track, fliiping through them like you're looking for something that youre never going to find~ truly gives you the right to do a review. I have to listen to albums over & over before I start really getting a feel for it. The only album in recent history that I remember from the moment I pressed play-thru to the end, that I was immediately obsessed: Alicia Keys "Diary of Alicia Keys". I highly suggest you go back and listen to the songs in their entirety, maybe on You Tube and objectively give your opinion. Also, while you're at it, take a look in the mirror & ask yourself what you've been doing for the past 15 years, how much you've learned & are you still working towards your goals? Or are you stuck. Because Usher, he's just getting better, wiser & more talented as each day passes. It's evident in "Hard II Love". Appreciate the hard work that went into this new album. Look for new things in each song, that makes Usher unique & new. Most of all, sit back & enjoy! You might be surprised if you give it a couple more chances! xo.๐
Best album from usher since confession!!!
Garbage..... When will our artists start putting out REAL R&B again?
