This isn't country; it's just pop with a southern accent. Instead of employing a pop star wanna be as a country artist, why not get someone with talent? If you like this kind of music, that's fine by me. But can you keep it out of "country"? Let's bring back great lyrics and storytelling, and throw away the un-raw techno trash sounds.

Don't act like you're country

This is probably the only song I could listen to very often. Not saying his music is bad just not my type. He has a great voice though and that can get you far.

I've given up that mainstream will never sound like country, so I focus on originality now. There is absolutely NONE here. Take three country tracks, mix them up and I bet you couldn't tell who song it. They all sound the same.

You've let the fame get to you. Your sister is a really good friend of mine and to hear that she's been texting you and calling and you ignore your own family, that's not someone I want to listen to. I really thought you were cool but now you're just a big zero!

Wow. What IFs with Lauren Alaina singing background vocals is fantastic. Kane's voice is amazing. And for those of you saying it's "Not Country." please. There has never been just one sound in country music. Why can't Kane Brown just be Kane Brown? Why does he have to try to sound just like Waylon Jennings or Alan Jackson, who by the way have very different sounds. Kane has a very distinctive voice that stays with you. Nobody sounds like he does, and that's a good thing.

What music if any is the same as 5 or 10 yrs ago? I think it's a great album with great music. The different ones who have bashed or talked bad are the same one who like more traditional blue grass country and if that be the case no one forced you to listen. Also see some guys on here hating probably because your girlfriend thinks he's hot and your not. Lol! Kane keep up the good work. Only one song on this album I like and that's only cause they have played it over and over and over again in my store I work at and even at the restaurants. Is this the new face of country music? What happened to riding horses and friends in low places? Is it honestly all about getting in girls pants and getting laid? I think I'll stick to Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw not to mention some George Strait. Hey I may even throw my Phil Collins in there. I read some of the extremely hate ridden reviews and had to write a review of my own...and I hate writing these things! But this one had to be done. Kane Brown is one of the hardest working new artists you could ever encounter. He built himself entirely through word of mouth, media sharing and is completely fan based, not studio executive hatched. He wowed us with his incredible voice by covering other artists but soon started making music of his own and I was hooked! The haters need to hear his background story (listen to "Forgiveness" for Cliff's Notes version) before spewing their venomous and hateful words. It's perfectly okay not to be a fan or not to enjoy his style. It's not okay to be rude, ugly and demoralizing in your reviews. For those who enjoy a wide array of musical genres, I highly recommend Kane Brown's music. It's fun, upbeat country with melancholy, soul searching songs as well. Some are even personal to his life experiences. Looking forward to more from this rising star!
