- Not the worst thing I've ever heard, but certainly disappointing

I'm not one to go and trash new music, especially from bands that I've loved for so long. So hopefully this comes off as more of an actual review than just petty hate. First off, I'd like to say that wayyy too many people gave this album 5 stars with only two or three singles to base it off of. Many people commented on their displeasure with Loud, but most were still optimistic. I began having doubts with Eternally Yours due to it feeling very cookie cutter. Loud just confirmed my suspicion that the band was going for a more accessible, trendy sound. I don't blame them for wanting to expand their fan base, but there are better ways of going about it. As a whole, the album is not awful when compared to other bands' recent style changes (*cough* Sylar *cough*), but it's definitely not what I was hoping for from these boys. There are some jewels in this, but they're few and far between. 570 remains my favorite track on the album and I'm still not totally giving up on MIW. I won't be buying this new record, but no doubt they'll do fine without me and others who've been fans since before Creatures. Cheers.

- The Scranton Slaughterhouse Five

So far it's shaping up to be one of their best albums since Creatures

- Took a step back.

For how much this band talked up this album they did not deliver. Only a few good songs, everything else is pretty boring. Lyrics are terrible as well they really put this album down.

- Worst album yet

I love MIW..but I'm so disappointed in this album. It doesn't sound anything like them and is way too commercialized. I prob will never listen to this album which is a bummer.

- Awesome band!!!

Slowly becoming my favorite band. Don't stop Making music please!!!!🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

- Awesome!

I've never even heard of this band until today, but this album is incredible from start to finish. It's refreshing to have good music again!

- Love it

Amazing will be listening on repeat

- Amazing

I love it this album it very good I always been a big fan of miw

- Nothing Nu

It's like Powerman 5000, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, and Trent Resnor had a child. Most unoriginal band in the wake of the Nu-Metal revolution. It's ashame cuz they do metal so well, unfortunately their lead singer wants to be so many other ppl that already exist that it clouds what they really could be doing.

- Solid record

This is hands down the best album they have released so far. The Incorporation all of their experimentation from Creatures, Infamous and Reincarnate is the perfect conclusion to their time with Fearless Records and the perfect prologue for their graduation to the major labels. From the industrial horrorcore of Rats, all the way to the genuine and emotional Eternally Yours, this is a solid work of art. Keep it up boys.

- I LOVE IT

THIS ALBUM IS FANTASTIC HANDS DOWN

- Great job

There is not a song in this album I am unhappy with.

- ..

I guess they're adding Korn to the list of bands they rip off like Marilyn Manson and Cradle of Filth. There's nothing wrong with being heavily influenced by other bands, but my god! They make no effort to hide the fact and that they're just imitating others. And this album's lyrics are noticably horrible also, not that they've ever been known for good lyrics... All in all just a bad album. In my opinion it's by far the worst yet.

- Great album

Was never bored with any of their songs on this new album. 10/10 Would listen to again.

- Solid Album

This Is A Combination Of Infamous & Reincarnate, I Absolutely Love The Album, 570, Eternally Yours & The Ladder are my top 3 Favorites, Keep It Up MIW!!!

- Hard

Music like this is for lifting heavy weights 😎

- Buy this

This is awesome!!

- Wow!!

This is such a great album! Not a bad song on this album. I would have to say the best album they have made.

- Solid Album

This is a solid album and pretty much delivers what we've come to expect from Motionless In White. It certainly does not surpass Infamous, which I personally think is their best effort to date. This album gives a good variety of heavy and catchy...the only downside is that they can get a little cheesy at times. Luckily, they snap back into it and get back to the good parts quickly. I would recommend it to any post Creatures era Motionless fan.

- Unoriginal but heavy

I love the heavy sound this band implements into their music, but I can't help but think that I'm listening to a new Marilyn Manson album.

- Amazing album!

Amazing new album! Congrats to them and all their hard work. Going to be on repeat all weekend!

- I remember when this band was called "Orgy"

I was rather disappointed in this album. I went crazy over "570" and the diametric opposite found in "Eternally Yours." However, when the last single, "Loud" came out, I was hoping this wasn't indicative of the direction they were taking. The entire album harkens back to the late 90s-early 2000's "Nu-Metal" scene/fad that emerged with Korn, Limp Bizkit, Staind, and yes, Orgy. MIW is so talented and could go in many directions, it's just sad that this was the one they chose. Nu metal isn't necessarily bad music, just very passé. It died out becasue it became very archetypal and the last bands to hop on the nu-metal/alternative bandwagon like Godsmack, Drowning Pool, Bullet for my Valentine, and Breaking Benjamin (Who's vocal style Chris is obviosuly trying to emulate), were the guitars and drums equivalent of pop music. Talent was apparent, substance was not. I with MIW the best and am glad they took a chance. However, if bands like Metallica, Pierce The Veil, and Every Time I Die have taught these guys anything, it's "stick to what you're good at and push yourself to be better at it." The synth/electo vibe, as well as their new aesthetic very much is a carbon copy of Orgy. The music itself is an amalgamation of Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, with a little bit of late-Korn thrown in to round it out. If you're expecting metal, you won't find it on this album. If you want alternative rock, you have it in spades with Graveyard Shift.

- Thanks

This is the best music album from Motionless In White, great riffs and obviously, great lyrics.

- New direction. Same Motionless.

I felt fairly worried after Loud, but after listening to the rest of the album I'm honestly in love. Great album. They did an absolute amazing job on this record. I personally can't wait to hear these songs live.

- When you can't innovate...

Imitate. Sounds like a mix between Marilyn Manson and Atreyu. I'm not complaining. Lol

- Awesome!

This is a step up from the last album. Don't get me wrong, I loved the last one but this is just better. I'd give this 10 stars if I could.

- So happy for these guys!

On Warped Tour 2008, the un-listed East Coast Independent stage featured Motionless in White. I know that because my band was on that stage as well. One balmy day in Boston, I believe I witnessed THE MOMENT these guys got big. They started playing with about ten people watching. By the end of their set there were a few hundred people. All with fists in the air. I was beyond jealous. Nine years later, I am thrilled for MIW. Chris is a really genuine dude who works harder than anyone. I know they've gone thru some lineup/style changes, but they're still going HAM, and that's all that matters. From the unlisted side-stage at Warped to opening for bands that should have been opening for them, now they are finally...FINALLY getting the respect they deserve. Keep it up boys. 5 stars.

- could be better

This is a "band?" If the answer is yes, we are doomed. This noise is horrible. These people are not musicians.

- ❤️

Amazing

- Gorgeous

It's amazing probably my favorite besides infamous

- 🖤🖤🖤

It's amazing my favorite album ever

- Breaking Benjamin?

Is it just me, or am I the only one who thought they stole their sound

- Awesom

It's almost like a mix of When Love Met Destruction, Infamous, Creatures, and Reincarnate

- Blown Away

When people ask I tell them "Motionless In White is my favorite band because they're the first band that has never made a song that I didn't like". I've enjoyed every song they've written doing back to their first EP so I was on the fence with some of the other fans when it came to this album. After listening to the album on repeat all day I honestly think this is MIW's best record to date. This album shows so much growth and that's one of the amazing things about Motionless In White is they always keep you on your toes. All of the tracks have such powerful lyrics and amazing beats which you can expect from the genius minds of this band. Motionless In White raised the bar on themselves and surpassed all expectations. If this album says anything about where the band is going in the future I CANNOT wait to see what this band creates next. It is my personal opinion that this album is everything I didn't know I needed in my life.

- Meh

This album definitely has cool moments, but overall, it is boring. The ladder, Queen For Queen, Not My Type, Voices, and Eternally Yours are the good songs. The Jonathan Davis song was completely underwhelming and every song was structured the same.

- Awesome

Definitely a great listener. Every song from start to finish is great.

- Good Sh!!t

Different but still good. The first half isn't that great except for rats but from untouchable on is fantastic. Better than reincarnate in my opinion

- Only the last 3 songs

I'm a huge fan of MIW, but this album as a whole is not as good as reincarnate or infamous. I think MIW would be a Bada$$ metalcore band. Hopefully the next one will be. He has great production when he makes it hardcore but melodic. This first of album is bubblegum rock

- ://////

i was so excited after hearing 570. infamous was their peak and its been downhill since. i miss how much i used to love them. i'll just have to keep listening to black damask and burned at both ends on repeat forever.

- Why

If every song sounded like "Soft" "570" or "Ladder" (aka like their roots) this would be better. This sounds like a BBenjamin ripoff with a lot of techno BS thrown in. I'll still purchase though to support the band because they are very good.

- Polished garbage

An inbred reproduction of Reincarnate. No wonder Balz left, MIW died when Angelo left ....

- What happened?

I heard 570 when it first came out months ago it reminded me of the "Creatures" album from 2010. After that album dropped I made it my goal to see every show MIW was at when they were in town. I don't know what this is though... it makes me actually kind of sad. What happened to you guys? You running out of ideas? Did you inevitably "sell-out" because you got nothing left? All I know is this album is a disappointment and you guys sound terrible now...

- straight insane

Can't believe how legit this album is!

- worst MIW album to date

A lot of the choruses are very cringy, instrumentation generally weak, they're trying to get big with their pre-teen audience and this will definitely make them some money. But not enough substance for long time fans of the band.

- LOUD is the only decent song.

LOUD appears to be the only decent song on this album. Everything else sounds like an Orgy or Adema knock off - maybe that's why Jonathan Davis is featured in Necessary Evil.

- 😍😍😍

I could never be disappointed in MIW their music is always amazing. This album is great

- 50/50

They need to keep the heavy sound but reduce the amount of electronics. I don't Want a second Korn wandering around. We need a reliably hard sound from them. Reincarnate was good because it mainly stayed heavy but this is starting to push a little too much into the electronic vibe at points and it can make it unenjoyable. We don't need them to pull the same mistake as Linkin Park and throw away everything good they once had and turn it into literal trash I wouldn't want to play at any show. Keep it metal motionless. Don't let electronics kill the sound

- Amazing!

They just keep getting better and better!

- AWESOME

They sound so much like breaking Benjamin now it's Knarly

- 🤘🏻

Ladder. Best song
