I know a lot of people aren't happy with the change in sound, but most of the fans that have been with them since the beginning have moved on from being emo teenagers, were now barely functioning adults. I'm never going to say this is their best album, but it's a fantastic album.

The 80's vibes making me overjoyed- the effort and upbeat-ness of the entire album- AHH. Yes, yes, YES!! Paramore have come back STRONG!💞💞💞

Especially loving the track Forgiveness. It's great when you get a band that evolves their sound like this, you can discover them all over again with every album.

If you're looking for rocky Paramore, you won't find that there. HOWEVER this album is still amazing, certainly a good direction for the band with some really nice 80s influences and synth/alternative pop. Good job Paramore!!

The return of Zac Farro to the ever changing lineup of this enigmatic band seems to have certainly stirred some creative juices within the Paramore studio, with incredible results. "After Laughter" is the perfect departure from the angsty emo-rock of old, and will have you dancing on the table as much as it makes you want to sob ("26" and "Tell Me How" are tear jerkers in particular, so being tissues). The marimba-infused, new wave, soaring choruses of "Rose Colored Boy" and "Fake Happy" showcase the trio's effortless ability to immerse themselves in any genre of their choosing and totally make it their own, while the enchanting intro of "Pool" will leave you thinking that a possible future collaboration with Florence + The Machine could be on the cards. Utterly brilliant. Take a bow, Paramore.

Melodic return with new/old three!! The essence of the band is Hayley throwing herself around a stage so hoping for some 'mad tunes' on the album and to hear those DRUMS! Whole album listened to - not MY Paramore but I wish them luck with new sound - it's a HW album really

Takes a few listens to get into & definitely has its underwhelming moments but overall this album is still pretty damn good & enjoyable with catchy choruses & witty lyrics

Am loving paramores new songs

Been a fan of Paramore since the start. And they are still as amazing as ever. Not a single song on this album lets it down. Idle Worship, Hayley's vocals on that you just can't beat! Just a cracking album!

The electro 80s pop sound doesn't do it for me on this album - only listened to the two tracks currently available whilst this is in pre-order but unless the rest of the album isn't a continuation of this then this just isn't for me.

Well what can I say? I don't actually know where to start. It's been 4 years and this band has been through so many Hard Times it's nice to finally see them come out the other end and make such a phenomenal fifth album. I've been a fan for over 10 years and every time they've released something it's always been different and I love it. They're not afraid to change it up and they always pull it off so effortlessly. With a nod to the 80's and the essence of the self titled album still clear I'm absolutely in LOVE with After Laughter. I'm so proud of how far this band has come and I'm so excited to be seeing them on tour soon. Major congratulations Paramore. You've done it yet again and proved to me while you'll always be my biggest inspiration and my favourite band. Thank you.

A great evolution of sound with the same heart.

looks like they maybe short of a few bucks ans now appeal to the kids in the back of the car forcing mum & dad to buy something thats catchy. its pop. something a cheesy group do to widen its appeal. only those loyal to the brand of 'paramore' will rave about it, but fact is... it's rubbish. possibly made on a pc with simple music software.

Most reviews have come in from only listening to 2 songs, however after listening to the entire album this morning i have a few things to say about my favourite band. I can appreciate a band wants to progress and change, but this is an entirely new genre and decade music style. Changing so much is asking a lot for fans of the band to change and adapt with them. Brand new eyes was an album that moved me in so many ways (and in a literal sense too), whereas, After laughter bored me within 10 minutes, maybe because of the repetitive nature of the music or maybe because one felt a lack of Paramore in this album. The question pondered throughout listening to this album was quite simple; Where is Paramore?

Emo lyrics and poppy-happy music. Just how I like it.

As a long time, hardocre fan of Paramore, I may be biased, but this is one truely great album. Following the band, these lyrics mean alot to me, giving you an emitonal insight into the bands life and I have really enjoyed watching the band adapt and change in the way they have. I love every single song this band has put out and this album is no excpetion, lyrically they are heart renching but the tunes and melodies are joyous and make you want to get up and dance. Hayleys voice can do no wrong, Taylor is a genuis and its great to have Zac back on the drums. Buy this and you'll never be the same again!!!

A lot of my favourite bands have been going in a completely different direction recently and I've stuck with them through all of it paramore is my favourite band and this type of 80s vibe, retro style is refreshing. I loved all there old albums if you listen to them in an order you can hear the difficult journey hayley and the band members have been on through the drops out, creative differences etc. Times change and people do they are in different places now and we must accept that. Personally it's not there best but I appreciate the undertones of this album expressing their emotions brand new eyes is there best imo but they have not disappointed with this comeback solid 4/5 would recommend ❤️

I love every paramore album to date. I was a bit sceptical at first but Hard Times has really grown on me and I love that they're experimenting. Looking forward to the rest of the album!

So so excited for this album! If Hard Times is anything to go by we're going to be hearing dark lyrics hidden behind upbeat melodys and I am LIVING. Also, Zac is back!!! Immensely proud of Hayley, Taylor and Zac! Their endless creativity is astounding.

Who come you can review the album with 1 star based on one song? Anyway, doing it reveals a lot about you as a person in music, starting from the simple fact that you were in love with the rock sound and not the band and hating them for having fun with experimenting new sounds. They have succeeded and they are improving. I'm a Paramore fan, not a "i miss the old paramore sound" fan (which is not even a thing so grow up)

From what I've heard of the two new songs this new sound is just rubbish this is not paramore was looking forward to this album so much huge letdown!
