Growing up in the 70's and 80's, I only listened to Rock and Roll. Then one night in the early 90's, I watched a Garth Brooks TV special and was absolutely blown away. That special ignited my love of Country Music. Lately, with very few exceptions, the songs and voices in country have started to sound an awful lot alike to me. But listening to this album reminded me of the night I watched that Garth Brooks special on TV.

I have been a long time fan of Brett Eldredge. I have watched his couch sessions, followed his writing career, and have pre-ordered every album. When you have so much love and faith in an artist, the one thing that terrifies you most of all, is what if they stop delivering what you need, want, and expect out of them. I am happy to say, Brett continues to put his love for music, his love for lyrics, and above all his love of sharing his music with fans, first. This album is excellent. Brett's first album had some excellent songs and showcased his range, but it jumped around a lot stylistically and sound wise. His second album produced several hits, and as you listened to it, you could really start to see Brett developing himself more as an artist and coming into his own. This album, his self titled album, is filled with excellent lyrics, fun rythms, unanticipated syncopation, and a whole lot of confidence. This album showcases Brett's excellent voice, his talent for song writing, and his love of performing. His songs have depth, and direction. He has started to do repetitive stylistic things, showing that he has really found himself, his voice, and his place. It is true to him as an artist, but more importantly as a person. He always says he loves love. He loves how love and music come together. Well, congratulations Brett Eldredge, you have found your place, you fit in your skin, and your album proves this one track after another. I love all of Brett's albums, but this one is so moving. This album showcases Brett's songwriting ability with his pure, honest and authentic words describing his and those who relate to looking for and finding that one true love and partner in life. I can't wait for him to headline his own shows!

Two long awaited years for him to release a new album and it is now here and better than ever. You won't regret the $9.99 to spend on this album. Brett Eldridge is a great musician, and he's definitely got some good songs out there. I'm just not feeling this album. Most of the songs sound the same. There might be two o actually gravitate to when thinking about purchasing, but not the whole album. Not horrible, just wasn't "wow"'ed.

This is honestly the first album I have ever heard that I truly loved each and every song on it from beginning to end. Each song, whether it's upbeat or slow, has a true story behind it that has substance. It's a really well balanced album, too; it's definitely got its fair share of bops & songs that make you want to sing and dance, but it also has those slower songs that pull at your heartstrings. Side note: CYCLES is EVERYTHING! Thank you Brett Eldredge for releasing an album that is truly YOU. It is incredible.

The entire album is wonderful. It's easy to listen to. The songs are all relatable. It's a great album!

This is the most open and honest album I have ever encountered. He really digs deep and goes to places that not many other artist ever really go. He's not afraid to be himself with this album. This album is by far the best record I have ever owned. Words don't do it justice. There are no words to describe the feeling you feel when playing this album. I hope you stumble across this album and decide to purchase it and really connect with it the way I have. It's worth every penny.

I know his style is different, and not the bluegrass country, a notch more poppy, but he really did well with this album. His style had some pop, but some consistency. Well written. I thought his most underated song on the album was "Cycles". The song hit home for me personally and reminded me of a flame I've been on an off with for a few years. "Reason", "Castaway", Haven't Met You", "Cycles", "Brother", and "Long Way Home" were my favorite tracks on the album.

One of my favorite albums this year! It can be difficult to find a full album to buy these days over singles, but this one is worth your money. It's a wonderful album from top to bottom. Haven't Met You is such a sweet reminder of what we all wish to find in love and so many of the tunes make me want to get up and dance like Love Someone and Something I'm Good At. Crystal Clear just makes me feel good. I love Brett's honesty in this album because there is something for everyone to relate to. Great job!
