Carlos Vives & Shakira - La Bicicleta

La Bicicleta by Carlos Vives & Shakira Song Info

"La Bicicleta" (English: "The Bicycle") is a song by Colombian singer Carlos Vives and Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira from Vives' fifteenth studio album Vives (2017) and is also included as an album track on Shakira's eleventh studio album El Dorado (2017). The song was written by both singers, and produced by Andrés Castro and it marks Shakira's first collaboration with a fellow Colombian artist. "La Bicicleta" was intended to be representative of both singers' homelands musical styles in Colombia. It is a song with a mixture of various musical elements - vallenato, pop and cumbia and instrumentally, it features indigenous Colombian wind instruments and accordions. Lyrically, it is a nostalgic song, describing the duo's excursion on bikes to places of their childhood.

- Donde Estan Los Ladrones de tu talento????

Donde Estan Los Ladrones de tu talento????

- Que le paso a Shaki? :(

- What happened?

After so many years she came out with this? Unbelievable!! I was expecting more way more.

- Beautiful Album

Amazing album with a variety of rhythm and diversity. Definitely a work of art very typical of Shakira she definitely stuck to what she is very original it's great. I fell in love with this album on the beach in Miami.

- Amarillo

What the hell? Do I hear Papa Don't Preach de Madonna?

- excited!!! Amazing albumn loved all the songs!!!

❤️💛💚💙💜

- Horrible

Her mediocre voice awwwww terrible

- Did it again!

She's amazing and this album is so cohesive and well produced. She never lets me down!

- Amarillo

An amazing album by Shakira! Amarillo is the best song on the album because it sounds so much like her old sound. El Dorado has catchy beats and savvy lyrics which people come to know from Shakira.

- ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

- What happened

Please write music like you used to.After your song She wolf your music became too mainstream. This is your worst album ☹️. Honestly your fans want music like Si te Vas ,Antologia .....Your new songs lack meaning. It sounds like you dont even write your own music anymore. Please put more time into your next album or just retire because this is just sad.

- :(

- Awesome!

I love this new album. People just don't understand that times change. If she comes out with the old style it would be more of the same. Seriously, get over it.

- Horrible

I remember when she used to sing real music. She was so good! What happened, Shakira! I'm a fan but this album is trash.

- Taking a chance...

I used to listen to Shakira back in the Donde Estan Los Ladrones days...lost interest as her career moved into English (and I'm obviously bi-lingual, that wasn't the issue). Not just that, back in the 90's when she first came out, that mainstream female-rock-artist stuff was popular. As a culture, that isn't mainstream anymore... As a huge Nicky Jam fan, I saw him promoting their song Perro Fiel on his instagram. Brought me to the whole album...I'm impressed with how Shakira has returned to mainstream. The Nicky Jam song sounds like him...the Maluma songs sound like him...the Prince Royce song sounds like him...the Carlos Vives song sounds like him. She mixes pop, reggaeton, rock, bachata, etc... What Shakira did here, some might call her a sell-out. I think it's genius. Most people become musicians because they want to entertain people and want people to enjoy their music. However, you have to stay current. 20 years ago, music was different...Shakira changing her style isn't her selling out...it's 20 years later, music evolves. Life evolves--I hope you're not still wearing your clothes from the 90's!?! What shouldn't evolve is how she connects to her music and to her audience. I think she's captured that here for sure. Congrats to Shakira for overcoming the odds and taking a chance...I believe it paid off. #PerroFiel

- Horrible

Shakira was lost long time ago when she became a blonde. Her music keeps getting worse with time.

- ❤️❤️

Love it

- Not good

Probably just needed to release a new album.

- Great mix of song types

I think Shakira has found a nice mix of pop and romantic love songs on this album. It seems more effortless than her last album, which I enjoy.

- Still has the heart I remember

I live for Shakira. Each album grows and evolves with her and her life and I love it. I did expect more solo stuff but what she has is great and fun and so her and where she is now. I will always love and support her ❤️❤️❤️❤️

- Great

GREAT

- Perfecto

- By far one of her best!! Definitely worth the buy!!

😊😊

- Amazing!

What a great album! I'm enjoying a lot with this album.

- Moy Bien Shakira!!!

even though tbh i don't speak Español she can become a super woman in these awesome songs. u haters back off.

- Variety

You should have to purchase the album to rate it. I think it's excellent, and I love the variety. She has great collaborations, but the album has other wonderful songs too.

- Deja vu

😻❤️👌🏻

- CRAP!!!!

More crappy music sung and played by people that don't write their own music!!!!

- Not so good.

I'm sick of all the hype about her. She's not that great disappointed. Try again. ☹️

- 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

She lost her roots. All she did was try to sound like she was from Puerto Rico with all this Reggaeton and Trap.

- 😍

Shak is forever trying new rhythms and I'll always love the different tones and pitches every album has.

- Quite well done, with undeserved criticism.

This album is one that undoubtedly people appear to conflict persistently over, however, I have to say that the songs are pleasant, catchy, and imbued with emotion. Songs such as Nada, Amarillo, and Me Enamoré are ones that are personally my favourite, and it is definitely worth it. I have to address the fact that people dislike this album, stating that it is "trash", however, we all possess bias, yet, one needs to hear the album in order to critique it; that is all that I must say concerning that.

- Amazing!

I love this album so much. The songs vary in style a lot and you can tell Shakira put a lot of effort into them. I love how personal they are to her: how "Me Enamoré" and "Coconut Tree" are about her husband (you can really tell how much she deeply loves him! I love how she portrayed this love into the lyrics! I especially love how specific she is in "Me Enamoré", describing his many features in the chorus! "Mira qué cosa bonita, qué boca más redondita, me gusta esa barbita!"), about different concepts like the girl being the carefree, mean one in the relationship in "Chantaje" with Maluma (the song is very catchy and very danceable to! Maluma's voice goes very well with hers, it's all in all an outstanding song!), and overall trending around love. I think "Amarillo" and "Toneladas" are super adorable love songs; they make me feel happy when I listen to them! The chorus of "Amarillo" is especially catchy and cute and had me singing along almost immediately! I love how she goes from color to color, describing different features of love, and I especially love the lines "En rojo, porque me sangran los ojos de llorarte cuando no estás a mi lado", "Dorado, porque no pienso perderte", and "Tu amor es un arco iris de colores y me muero por tenerte"! It's such a cute song!! In "Toneladas", I love the lines "Es el sol detrás te tu risa, que me ciega y me deslumbra", "Me das toneladas masivas de amor", and "Para mi este mundo sin tí no sería más que un mal invento". "Nada" gives across a very deep message and the chorus truly moves me. It's a tragic song and the emotion in her voice when she's singing about how money and fame means nothing without you, makes it even better. It's definitely one of my favorites in the album! Many of the songs are very catchy, the most catchiest being "Comme Moi" with Black M. The music video is so amazing, I have watched it countless times and can't seem to get bored of it, the entire layout of it is so great! Even though the message of the song is sad and sorrowful, it's still able to get me up on my feet to dance! The English version is nice, too. There are a lot of collaborations with other artists in this album but I still love it; I don't listen to Maluma, Nicky Jam, Black M, and Prince Royce but from this album alone, I think they are great singers and their parts in the album are very nice! "Déjà Vu" with Prince Royce is a sad song with an upbeat rhythm that is super danceable to. I'm not a fan of bachata but even I feel like getting up and dancing when the song comes on! I love when they sing the chorus together, "Si alguien va hablar del amor, te lo aseguro, esa no voy a ser yo"! Nor am I a fan of reggaeton, but "Perro Fiel" with Nicky Jam is a very fun song and I love listening to it. "Trap" is a very sexy song and I think it was a good choice to sing it with Maluma. The song is not my thing but it had a nice rhythm to it! "When a Woman" is one of the only English songs in the album, yet it's very nice to listen to and I love the lyrics. Because only a woman knows how a woman is supposed to love a man! Many of these love songs seem like they come directly from her heart, it's great! This album especially has a lot of personal feelings and meanings into the songs, and frankly that's what makes it an amazing album. The meaning behind the title of the album, alone, being her "inspiration" - I love how Shakira portrays this in interviews and such. How this album isn't made to fit to social wants or success, rather what *she* wants to say and what messages she wants to write about. Shakira is truly an amazing artist and role model. Her original music is great, but her new music, namely in this album, is also great all the same. It's a matter of music taste and not anything else; Shakira herself said she likes to make songs with different styles from different cultures, and in the end it's up to her what music she wants to create. Since I am a huge fan of hers, listening to her songs also opens me up to other styles of music and leads me to discover new interests. This album especially does that! In my opinion, she is doing an outstanding job and I am looking forward to any future music she makes, as well as any Tours! This album no doubt made my year and I am a happy fan of Shakira!

- Awesome!

Excellent mixture of modern day Shakira with touches of good ol' Shakira vibes. Her intricate voice continues to be her strongest instrument and her dancey songs are always fun.

- Love her

such a queen

- Amazing: as usual!

Amazing work as usual ❤️

- So good¡

Soooo gooddddd 👏🏾👍🏾

- SHAKIRA THE QUEEN IS BACK 👸🏼

These songs are just AMAZING! You should buy this album it's the best!

- 4 Track EP

Songs co-written by long time collaborator Luis Fernando Ochoa could have and can easily be an EP. Tracks # 2, 5, 9 and 13 are obviously reminiscent of the classic Shakira most of us have grown up with since the early days of Pies Descalsos, only with modern day recording in place. Songs such as these transcend from her heart to ours. I have enjoyed some of her more recent and popular music, but with so much pop music losing melody, meaningful lyrics, and written by 10+ people on each track, songs such as these are refreshing. Written only by 2 people, it becomes so much more personal.

- She a star alright

I want a preview my next Photo shoot

- Fan forever!!

Expecting more new songs but I love it.
