I guess Shai was right! It's a shame the he has been given such a tremendous platform only to fade into the secular mainstream and squander an opportunity to really impact the culture. Lecrae claims that he isn't a Christian rapper but that didn't appear to be the case on his earlier projects. Listen for yourself and tell me that the message hasn't changed. The gospel has been exchanged for meaningless and worldly content. I suppose that worldly success really does breed compromise. Even when it happens so slowly that you don't even realize it until you've completely sold out. The Reach Records website no longer even represents Godliness. The whole mission seems to have changed focus to selling generic clothing and distributing watered down content in order to satisfy the masses. Its been a slow progressive compromise, but compromise nonetheless. Lecrae's earlier work greatly impacted my faith, but sadly now I must turn to other artists for edification and encouragement. We still love you brother but please get back to making real hip hop music that honors the Lord our God! He gave you the gifts so use them for his glory and not your own. At the end of the day your music is a ministry. As far as any real discerning follower of Christ can see, that ministry is now dead.

Every song on this album is amazing and to see his live performance of every song served justice to the album. To hear his testimony about depression confirmed that saints have struggles as well but they're only temporary.

Idk about y’all reading this, but I feel like these guys have lost the “Christian” in Christian rap. You look at Andy Mineo’s new album Magic bird. There is only a fingertip full of Christian talk in it. I seen a meme one time that said “I’m aloud to rap about my sin but not about my savior.”

This is one of the best HipHop albums I have heard since all eyez on me. And yes he still shares the truth. Stop judging and give this album a try, your soul will be blessed and your eyes will be open to some “facts” and truths that we as a body of believer have ignored for decades. 116

Gotta say, I’ve been a LeCrae fan for years. However his last couple of efforts seem to sound the same. Lots of slow tracks, and it seems like he’s trying to over pack his albums with guests. Couple that with the newish mix of anger/righteous indignation and trying to distance himself from “white evangelicals” just does not make sense. Makes the album a collection of rants and diatribes directly aimed at the very people who have supported him since his first album, alongside a few decent tracks. Not really sure what he’s trying to accomplish here. You have a guy who came up in Christian music, but now wants to get away from that? Sorry man, but I can’t follow. Judging by the lyrics on “Facts,” I’m guessing he is okay with that. I think one day he will look back on this album as a misstep. Alienating people who love your work is never a good thing. Sorry LeCrae, this one’s a miss.

One of the realest...

Lecrae is one of the few artist that can lyrically make you question your own constitution. However, this album was like listening to a watered down version of what he has done in the past. His political and theological ideas don’t compliment each other as they didn’t on Anomaly. With that said the music is well done and replayable. The album is worth a buy and I will continue following Lecrae in the future.

LeCrae has made yet another album that shows God’s love for us all. And as with every album, he has gone a step further and challenged us to pay attention to matters that we ignore every day on the news, at our jobs, and in our homes. LeCrae has taken his position that God has given him and is using it to not only proclaim God’s undying love for us all, but to shine a much needed light on taboo topics in a Christian culture that shirks away from these tough thoughts. LeCrae has put this album out there to help us draw closer to God, and closer together as a community of believers. We cannot serve God fully and perfectly until and unless we decide to unite to right wrongs that are still at large today. Thank you, LeCrae, for pushing the limits once again and showing us that “Christian” is more than saying Jesus’ name and quoting verses. God bless, brother.

Pretty weak

Lecrae has released a record that I strongly believe was a message sent to me from God. My reason for supporting that is because the majority of songs that Lecrae performed were exactly what I was going through. And I'm still am but I'm very determined and I'm not giving up. Back in late summer of 2016, I was diagnosed with prolactinoma that left me disabled with very low vision, nearly made me blind. Music is my passion as well and Lecrae is one of my inspirations towards that. ATWT is one of the best records I've listened to that helped me regain my strength within myself, letting me know that giving up is not an opinion. All things will work together, literally, just as long as I continue to strive for living a long, Happy life through Christ. Thanks Lecrae!

While some of the songs sound similar, I will say I think this is Lecrae’s most mature sound, and one of his best offerings. Top to bottom he has something to say, and I like the flow of the cd. “Facts” is a straight declaration of how Crae is seeing the world these days: for those who say it’s not hard enough and he isn’t as controversial, I say Crae is still staunchly on that 116. “Lucked Up” is my favorite song on the album. It’s smooth, lush and shows appreciation for the blessings of a good and proper relationship. Widely considered the best song on the album, “I’ll Find You” has a spectacular featured artist in Tori Kelly, and is an uplifting, God honoring message for dark circumstances in a dark world. All in all, I’m in love with the album and you should own it, and enjoy it and tell other people to get it too.

I was disappointed to find this was not the refresher we were waiting for. I definitely believe that Lecrae is great, but this hardly is his best work.

Wow! In my opinion, Lecrae’s best yet! This album really speaks to me and gets right to my heart. It puts words to things I’ve dealt with myself. Lecrae truly bears his heart and soul here. It’s raw and refreshing. One of the things that’s really clear on this album is Lecrae’s determination to be the man and the artist God designed and called him to be and not to conform to the mold that the Christian Pharisee club would try to press him into. They want him to “talk about Jesus” but not about the HEART of Jesus full of mercy and justice for the oppressed, the broken, the disenfranchised. Thanks for keeping it real, Lecrae, and for staying in the fight. WE LOVE YOU. WE NEED YOU.
