Sia sounds good, but otherwise, this is standard-issue, formulaic 2010s pop. It feels like the U.S. popular music industry has been spinning its wheels lately, unable to find a fresh sound, a new way forward, partly because it's spent so long undermining/undercutting real artists - and the genuine creative risks associated with them - who would have an answer. Not to mention the corporate consolidation of radio & subsequent homogenization, which has greatly reduced/limited the variety and kinds of artists that get that mainstream push or platform.

I wasn't impressed with anything ZAYN had put out, but my love for Sia made me listen to this song and I was surprised by how much I liked it; of course I played it on repeat after that, and realized how much I loved it.

Zayn's vocals and highnotes is enough to buy this album. His lyrics are always so deep and meaningful. He's not like every other pop singer out there. He genuinely cares about the music and not the fame. He's coming for my wig when he's album drops! 😭😭

In my opinion, it's been a year full of unexpected turns in the pop industry. That being said, I'm enjoying this ballad a lot; foremost appreciate the power house voices of Sia and Zayn. To me it's an 8.5 and it grows on me with each time I listen to it.

I've always been a big fan of both Zayn and Sia's music, but still I was nervous to hear how a collaboration between them would turn out since their music styles are so different, and I didn't want to be disappointed. But I was not disappointed in the least, their beautiful voices blend so well together and are so powerful, and the production and lyrics of the song make it that much better. Favorite pop song released this year!
