If you don’t know Brandi Carlile get to know her now! This album is just amazing! The lyrics are so beautiful and meaningful. If you ever get a chance see her live, her and the twins are wonderful!

The first four songs show off her amazing musical range. The rest of the album really showcases her excellent song/lyric writing. I’ve been a super-fan since 2006 and love all of her work. This one ranks up there among her best but I think if I try to rank her albums they all tie for first.

When Brandi sings she tells you a story and she reels you in with every word sung. This record is filled with these beautiful stories and she blew me out of the water again and again. Wishing she'd come back to LA for a concert with this album! You are amazing Brandi Carlile!

I have been following Brandi Carlile since I saw she & the twins open for Marc Broussard at The Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Michigan back in 2003. I took my whole family to see Marc, a friend from Atlanta - but Brandi and the Twins blew the roof off. This album is beautiful story telling, heart thumping, raw love, harmonies that will fill your house, your car, and your heart with songs that wil make you think of your stories, triumphs, and growth. Life is hard, but beautiful music can come out of it. This album reminds me of the past 2 albums, but more indepth in terms of personal growth. Keep digging you guys - it only gets better. xo

The Joke is an anthem for our era about never giving up or giving in. It is a masterwork of songcraft, equal to and maybe better than The Story. Brandi's soulful voice turns verses into vibrato filled landscapes that explode with emotion in the last chorus as her poignant singing becomes a crescendo of plaintive howls accompanied by soaring violins that together magnify the song's emotive energy tenfold. Kudos to the late Paul Buckmaster for the wonderful string arrangements that perfectly blend with Brand's voice.

I have been a huge fan of Brandi since I stumbled across her album at a B&N endcap in 2005. I wanted a new CD to play in my car and I am so glad for that day since it has been LOVE ever since. This album delivers. Every album makes me cry at some point and this one happened on Most of All and Party of One. I am so glad others are finding out what an amazing souful talent that her and the twins are. The hubs surprised me with great seats to the The Story 10 Year Anniversary tour and he said it was the BEST performance he has ever been too. Do yourself a favor and see her live. You will not regret it.

Some of the best music Brandi and the Twins have ever released. The Joke and Party of One are reason enough to buy this incredible album. Love it! This and Firewatcher’s Daughter are Brandi finally embracing Brandi. So much heart. Nothing held back.

I get as artists mature and age their fire and passion is subdued from their angry adolescent days, but the direction BC has taken her music is not something I’m on the ride for. Time to get off this train for me.

I love Brandi but it normally takes a few months to ingest the greatness. Not here. This CD grabs me from the first track and then breaks me down and puts me in a differnt place by the last track 'party of one.' The social media campaign she's launched about forgiveness is incredible and now that I have the whole CD I can feel a place where it's coming from. In the end, the cd makes me think that the person I most need to forgive for shortcomings is myself.

Brandi and the twins don’t disappoint. Her music has changed as she has grown and her life and relationships have evolved. Can’t wait to hear the new music live. Brandi and the twins do not disappoint live. They can be soft and rock out like the best of them! Her music touches my soul and has helped me through some rough times.

Party of One is haunting. So many feels.

I've been listening to Brandi since The Story came out, and while I love everything she does, this album for me is her best since The Story. The emotion that she is able to pour into these songs is incredible, and has left me with teary eyes at every listen. Extremely relevant and powerful.

I’ve been infatuated with BCB since the first time I heard them 13 years ago. It’s been an exciting journey to watch and listen to them grow together musically and as a family. If you enjoy this album check out others like Give Up the Ghost and The Story. They do not disappoint.

I just absolutely love Brandi’s new album!!! Her music, words and voice melt my soul. Every song is so well written and the twins harmony in the background is fantastic. I also love the song she sings with Amy Ray of “The Indigo Girls” Stand and Deliver, it sends chills through me. Definitely a 5 star album here.

I have seen these guys 3 times live, this is an experience you need to have when they come near you. If you have a favorite live experience Brandi, Tim and Phil will replace that. I have all of their albums and they became more passionate after they began creating families iof their own. This album is fabulous, just received my Vinyl album today.

Brandi I figured it out! The Joke is about the rabbits in Watership Down “I have been to the movies and I’ve seen hares!!!!” Most of this record is what we’ve come to expect from BC...until we’re suddenly soaring, spirited to new heights! Kaboom and congratulations on a stellar piece.

Women, this is the soundtrack for the lovers, mothers, sisters, heroes, daughters and friends we are today. There isn’t a word in these superbly-written lyrics, that will not resonate with the deepest, most personal parts of your being. The musical arrangements are simply epic. I’m so grateful for her entire body of work - it just keeps getting better. I wish I could afford to see her live on this tour. Just amazing.

Every album just gets better and better. This album hits close to home and has some of the most beautiful and honest songs I’ve ever heard. What an accomplishment by Brandi and the twins.

I've been listening to Brandi for a long time. I wholeheartedly believe she has never made a bad song, and this record is just fantastic – her best yet. Would recommend buying the physical disc or vinyl record and just sit back with the lyric sheet and listen. This one will make you feel.

It's pretty rare that I buy an album and like all the songs. This is that rare occasion. I have been waiting for this album to be released for months now and it for sure does NOT disappoint!!! It has been on Shuffle/Repeat since I purchased it. Bravo, Brandi, bravo.

It all started back in 2010 when this exquisite voice played behind a commercial during the Olympics- And every subsequent year after that her albums have graced my ears. I stood after an 8 hour day for 4 more hours in a tiny venue in Pittsburgh (8 months pregnant) and was blown away. This voice- this voice is AMAZING. This album showcases motherhood, lives lost and live gained, and forgiveness. We should all be so lucky to live during this bands reign. Thank you Brandi Carlile. You’ve made an amazing work of art yet again.
