I don’t have anything against rap and I love a lot of Kanye’s music, in fact I think some of the stuff he says on this album is actually rather intelligent, especially compared to the kinds of ignorant and juvenile bars he has been spitting in the last few years. Unfortunately, Kid Cudi ruined the entire album with his complete carelessness for intonation. There are also a lot of production issues such as the terrible use of the sample on 4th Dimension. Generally this album is a lot of great ideas smothered by terrible technical execution. The only songs that were good were Feel the Love and Cudi Montage.

This is two masters of the game playing to their strong points and making the beat album of 2018 if this gets zero Grammys imma be mad. And kid cudi and Kanye are at their best in about 8 years after mbdtf and motm2

Wow! I don't keep up with pop culture like I used to...so imagine my utter delight in finding this music. It is unique and wildly pure. The music and words are cathartic for Kid and Kan - this leads to a feeling of hope for us on most songs but especially felt on "FREEE." I've known many people with mental illnesses in my life so it hits me in a deep way. This is best sound I've heard in a long time.

This LP is what made a young man from Chicago so refreshing. The production is incredible as the coordination between sounds, beats and harmonies is just joyous noise to my ears. Tears well up when I hear the lyrics from Cudi Montage. This production between a few extremely talented artists deals with remaining resilient in the face of dealing with their own flaws, challenges, foibles all while being in a heightened sense of self awareness as creator of the public spectacle. I love it. This is music many will be able to feel in their bones. Give it a spin and then go back for the lyrical content. You will see that this is a gem. God Bless.
