Disappointed! Love Eric Church’s last album. This one-👉🏻nah- totally forgettable. Hate everything about it-beginning with the album art. Songs are horrible. Nothing stands out.

I've read articles lately about this guy (incuding a feature in Rolling Stone). Some call him "new outlaw country" and compare him with the likes of Jason Isbell, Chris Stapleton or Sturgill Simson. On those ideas I gave this album a good listen only to come away disappointed. He doesn't even come close to those aforementioned guys. He'd have to get a whole lot grittier, ballsy, and really improve his voice, songwriting and guitar skills. Sorry, Eric! Even with all his hype, I ain't buyin' this crap!

Love it. All of it. Didn’t think there’d be another Eric Church album that I would listen to repeatedly as much as I have Chief. None of mainstream pop crap they call country these days. Thank you for new country I can listen to.

Eric Church made some great songs again

This is a good album, a little different on songs but that is what makes EC good. If they all sounded the same it would get boring. Give it a few plays and you will be loving it.

The most forward thinking musician in country music. His songwriting is amazing. This album takes a few listens to truly appreciate. Once it gets you; you’re hooked!!!

Sort of a catchy single, song Monsters under the bed was decent to however the the rest of album isn’t a typical Eric Church album. To experimental & nothing catchy which is why it has faded away . To much pop country garbage filler here.

I love every song on this album! He is such a talented writer/singer. It’s so hard to decide which song is my favorite because it changes from day to day. Great job!!!

drowning man is by far the most underrated song from this album

The debut single desperate man is basically him saying he is a desperate man because this album is trash. Make America Great Again!

At first I was disappointed. But this is an album you have to listen to at different times over different days to truly appreciate. Mr Misunderstood had the same effect on me. It’s actually pretty cool how his albums do this. If you don’t like at 10pm then listen at 8am.... And “some of it” is freakin awesome!!!!!

It’s hard to believe someone who has put out what many believe to be the best country album of this millennium (Chief) is still getting better, but Eric Church is. I really enjoyed Mr. Misunderstood and thought it was worthy of the Album or the Year award that it won, but Desperate Man just goes to a new level. You’ll find your favorite song on the album changes because every song on the album is just that good. This was well worth the wait!

Where in the hell did country go

I’m a big fan of Eric Church. To be honest, it took a couple listens to really appreciate this album. But now I can’t put down!

Eric stays true to himself with soul worthy lyrics & heartfelt songs. Made me smile & appreciate his talent all over again. Song writing to the likes of Waylon, Cash & Dylon with a little bit of Springsteen rock. Love it!

50/50 on the songs. Some good, some not so good. Think he’s trying way too hard to be different. We have enough artists that are different. We need some to be themselves. Give us what we liked the first time we heard him. Better luck next time.

Eric is one of my favorite. Love seeing him in concert and he will give you his all. Drowning Man is a solid song on this album. Total album feels like he just put it together to get another album out.

he is by far the most real and original country artist out there. when desperate man came out i thought it was just okay, but after the whole album was released, i LOVE every song on this album!!! i can’t wait to go to another concert!!
