Who needs poor cover versions when the orignals are better in eery way. Cher sounds totally out of place on these tunes. I you want to hear the ABBA canon, , listen to the ABBA originals, not this...

From what I heard, she’s singing along with ABBA, they almost drown her out. At first I actually thought it was was ABBA. Not a very good cover if you have to sing along with the original artists. For those of you who don’t know who ABBA is, google them listen to them and then you will understand what I’m saying. Very poor cover.

As the iTunes review says, it's amazing that this didn't happen sooner! Cher is PERFECT in singing these songs and it's a hope of mine that at some point down the road that maybe, just maybe, she'll find a way to actually link up with ABBA (who's making a comeback, in case you didn't know) and sing with them! One of those once-in-a-lifetime Grammy performances or something -- and don't lie, you can see it happening, can't you? ;) Personally, I think Cher could do a couple of albums of ABBA or other iconic disco albums; kind of like a "great American songbook" of disco tunes...and of COURSE she would dazzle in doing it! :D Buy this album...you will not regret it!

What’s not to love about this album? Cher sounds great (and happy). ABBA’s songs are kept intact, only zhuzhed when necessary to be more Cher-like. This year has been such a downer for so many people - this album is just here to get people smilin’ and singing. So glad it’s a hit. Personal Faves: SOS, Gimme, Waterloo, and One of Us.

Absolutely no words for this. This is so bad!

This is such a fantastic album, Cher as always is spot on. But did anyone else notice her voice on One of us? I think the second or third chorus she holds the note then gives vibrato and does this Indian type subtle wail. I have never in 40 some years have ever heard her do that ever! For me this is the most stunning moment on this whole wonderful genius album.

Seriously, she sounds like she at an open mic night.

Cher's talent was always marginal and now she covers ABBA songs???? Poor pathetic Cher.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get into this or not. As much of an icon as she is, I thought Cher's voice was a bit "off" in 'Mamma Mia." But, this? It's great fun! I listened to it for the first time on the elliptical... and increased my mileage! Haha! Seriously. It's the perfect workout album, even ending with a song that's appropriate for a cool down. You may not know whether or not you want this album, but you do.

So simple, so straightforward. Easy to listen to at home, in car and out and about.

I’ve always loved Cher and always loved ABBA, so it wasn’t even a second thought in buying this entire album. It’s my opinion that ABBA was so far ahead of the time, so their music is ageless, much like Cher herself. ABBA doesn’t perform anymore, so who better to be crowned the Dancing Queen but Cher. Many female artists (and some males too) have tried to follow in Cher’s footsteps, but Cher does it all and she’s always changing. Move over Madonna, Mariah, Beyoncé, Britney, Christina, and Ariana, and all hail the true Queen, Cher. Buy this album and sing along. You won’t regret it, I promise you.

Really amazed by this. It could have been one cringe-fest from start to finish. It's thankfully not. Really surprised at how good this collection is. It's fun, it's fresh yet respectful to Abba's legacy as well as her own.

Such a dull uninspired album and shows Cher has never really ever had any creativity or vision. Using ABBA music as inspiration has already been done way better before with Madonna's 'Hung Up' on her 'Confessions on a Dancefloor' album and Erasure before her. I'd much rather listen to the original Abba 'Gold' album than endure the annoying robot effects on Cher's voice here. More 'Autotune Queen' rather than 'Dancing Queen'. I'll pass on this album Cher as lovely as you are!

So basically I’m what would be classed as Cher’s target audience for this album, I’m a gay man who loves both Cher and Abba, however this album is absolutely woeful. Sounds like karaoke, auto tuned the life out of the songs, I managed to get to Waterloo but then had to turn off this album it’s awful. Cher was interviewed on TV the other day and the interveiwer was saying how he had never heard these Abba songs sang this way ( insult to Abba ) me neither, atrociously, a blatant cash in on Cher’s Mama Mia appearance, its cheap, rushed and no thought whatsoever to this album,someone has obviously said “ go on Cher jump in and sing a few Abba tunes we’ll make a few quid”. I so surprised Cher would do this project considering her past albums

Pure brilliant not a patch on her own music but a brilliant album and way better then Abbamania. Deffo buy or download this album. Waterloo and the winner takes it all are the best

Don’t understand why this getting such good reviews. I found it unoriginal and just unpleasant to listen to. I expected better from a legend like Cher.

Heard Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! On the radio yesterday. Awful. It’s like Cher is sticking to her “successful” formula, from Life After Love, of just autotuning/vocodering everything she sings. This is, obviously, aimed at ABBA fans. If you are an ABBA fan - save your self some money and just list to the originals.

I’m a huge fan of Cher and her amazing voice. Just had a problem with her using this robotic voice too much. Looking forward to the whole album!

After Fernando for ‘Mamma Mia the movie 2’ the world needed this from Cher. Although many ABBA hardcore fans felt disappointed and thought this shouldn’t happen, it happen and I’m sure half of ABBA couldn’t be more happy with that. The album sounds a breath of fresh air! Although I wish she could choose a different arrangement for some of the songs, most of the tracks that stand out cover the others. Now let’s dance!

Finally! We have covers of ABBA songs by someone who has the vocal range to do so. A legend covering legendary songs. The two released tracks so far are brilliant. Cher has made them her own, they have definitely been Cherified! Can’t wait for the full album. This album deserves the number one spot.

I like about 3 of the songs but the rest really aren’t that great.

As an absolute Cher fan and also a lover of ABBA this album came with a lot of excitement and some trepidation. I didn’t want ABBA classics messed with even if it was by Cher. But this album is so fun and the tracks are great you know the songs and they have not been broken. The album is a fresh modern take on some classics with a great Cher sound.
