This is one of the strongest debut albums I've heard in a while. There are a few skip tracks that could have been cut from the 16-song tracklist but overall it flows well. It has great storytelling and the features are all used perfectly

Great project for her first official Album. My favorite part of the album is the second half , i love the best selection to most ! I think Chris brown would have sound better on closer but whatchamacallit flowed when you play the album all the away through . Favorite tracks are : Close Gut Feeling Cheap shot Run my mouth Trip Naked Easy Everything Good bad Shot clock Some Criticism would be some of the lyrics don’t really flow with the chorus of some of the songs but that can be improved! Overall Great project for her first Album ! GO ELLA

Absolutely loved the album I can listen to “cheap shot” like there’s no tomorrow I can most definitely hear “gut feeling”, “good bad”, and “watchamacallit” being played on the radio back to back and “Easy” is one of the realest R&B songs I’ve heard in a while that I believe was heartfelt and just down right what makes R&B, R&B. and “Everthing” legit sounds like the modern day version of a Lauryn Hill’s “Nothing even matters” and “Own it” is a song I can hear a woman getting proposed to and “Shot Clock” is the 💩 and there’s no way else to put it and “Close” is a bop and I can listen to it just as much as I can cheap shot. And “Run my mouth” is straight.

Her singles and old albums have never really done her vocal capabilities justice. I’ve been a fan of Ella Mai for years, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard her voice sound so beautiful. Songs like Close & Everything show her range and sound like pure love R&B, that I miss. This album is incredible! It’s been a while since I listened to an album and said, “Oh I have to go buy this.” Congratulations Ella Mai!
