This is a song from the soundtrack of the TV film "Descendants", which tells the story of the teenage sons and daughters of some of Disney's most infamous villains. The movie was directed and choreographed by Kenny Ortega, who also helmed the three High School Musical movies. Initially, the film was not envisioned as a musical. It was only when Ortega came on board that songs were added. This electronic dance song introduces the four "rotten to the core" teenagers from the Isle of the Lost. They are Mal (Dove Cameron), daughter of Maleficent; Evie (Sofia Carson), daughter of the Evil Queen; Carlos (Cameron Boyce), son of Cruella de Vil; and Jay (Booboo Stewart), son of Jafar. The song was written by: Joacim Persson and Johann Alkenas of the Swedish record production and songwriting team Twin. Their credits include Ashley Tisdale's "It's Alright It's OK," Charice's "Pyramid" and Bridgit Mendler's "Determinate." American songwriter Shelly Peiken, who is best known for co-writing the US #1 hits "What a Girl Wants" and "Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)" for Christina Aguilera, plus the Best Rock Song Grammy nominated song "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks.

I watched him since Jessie and he was an awesome actor. I saw that descendants 3 was dedicated to him and I just bought the soundtrack and it took me back to 2015 and I remember him each time I listen to VK mashup ( from descendants 3) and sometimes I cry when I hear rotten to the core

If only and Rotten to the Core are the only good songs. All the other songs are just cringey and forgettable. Did I Mention is the worst! So bad, so cringey! Be Our Guest remix!? Totally ruined the original for me. But enough with the bad. If Only is beautiful, and Rotten to the Core is upbeat and awesome! Those two are good!
