Long Time Sunshine by Weezer Song Info
Long Time sunshine is a cult classic to Weezer fans, one of the most mellow pieces in the bands discography. This was written between the Blue Album and Pinkerton, the "east coast college with hisotry" line is about Rivers yearning to join Harvard (wich he enventually did in the fall of 1995) and the whole song is about Cuomo longing for a simplier life. Rivers was really affected by public and critics considering (at the time) the Blue Album like a little goofy novelty more than "the next Nirvana" to directly quote the man. The song has multiple versions : an original demo, another one rewritten for the aborted Rock-Opera "Songs From The Black Hole" and this one wich has the verses and chorus from the former plus the outro of the Black Hole Version.
