Allen Iverson was heralded as one of the greatest players of his time. In his prime, he was considered one of the best players in the NBA, as reflected by his winning of the Most Valuable Player award in 2001. Post explained his stage name at the Breakfast Club: Post is his real last name, and he made up the Malone part for practically no reason. However, Post has also said he got the idea for his stage name by entering his real name, Austin Post, into a rap name generator.
