This sounds more like Def Leppard than Tesla. The song Shock is cool except for the fact that Tesla are using a drum machine. I'm not a fan of anything from Def Leppard since High & Dry and this has the Phil Collin bubble gum pop formula writen all over it.

Good song but I do not like the electronic drums. Where’s the guitar solos? It has a different sound then previous albums. Definitely has some Def Leppard influence.

“Shock” sounds great. Rock solid tempo. Really looking forward to the album now.

Tesla should of been much bigger than they got, middle of the road band, HELL NO! Tesla is up there with the best. Grunge killed Rock-n-Roll in the 90’s, but who is still going today? I don’t see grunge bands putting out cd’s, rock will never die. TESLA ROCKS! Can’t wait until you come to town... New sound.... SOUNDS GREAT!!!!

I was able to get a sneak preview of the album with a friend of mine in the band. This new album is the best album I’ve heard in 20 years. It is unbelievably good, a must buy!

When I first heard the opening drums, I was thrown for a loop. Different sound indeed! When I got to the chorus, I INSTANTLY fell in love with the song! Tesla, I am SHOCKed by how good this song was! Can’t wait for the rest of the record to come out!

Shock rocks, it has great writing, production and depth. Tesla and Phil Collen went deep on this one. You won’t find anything out there like this anymore. Rock isn’t dead, it’s just called Tesla now.

have seen tesla 2 times in the last couple years and going again march 3rd.this group is so tight and jeff sounds just as good if not better than in the eighties when i saw them.and there is nothing wrong with mixing in some def leppard to their sound.love the new tunes.they are incredible musicians,each and every one of them.

A fan since the beginning i hope the rest of the album is as good as Shock the first single

While this is a very good album , it is a bit odd. It sounds exactly like a Def Leppard disc. Everything from the vocal lines to the melodies sounds exactly like Joe Elliot and the boys . It is a bit strange .

YES! I think if Phil didn’t put his name on it, no one would push it as a DL vibe. Shock is up there with Heavens Trail and Mamas Fool for cool Tesla tracks. The two additional songs are great as well. He doesn’t seem to be pushing his voice into places it shouldn’t be anymore, thus the bit slower tempo. I’m not a big DL fan but am very happy they went outside the box for a producer. Didn’t Tesla write a killer song about Steve Clark? This mash-up seems only fitting. I’m very excited for the full release.

I been a fan for a long time and i am glad that they are playing around with a new sound that honestly works for them. Can’t wait to hear this album

I can already tell just from this song that this will be a monster album! This is the best stuff they’ve put out since Into The Now album. Can’t wait to listen to the rest of the album in March!

So far between the three new songs I think the album is going to be great it’s kinda a laid back kinda mellow rock for Tesla it sounds good for them a little change up def Leopard related or not I love the new album especially the new song

The last album after 2 pretty good ones in a row was a Hot Mess. Sounded like a crappy cover band. This song gives me hope.

It sounds like something Def Leppard would play!! I can see why, because Phil Collens produced it!! This one will have to grow on me, that's for sure.

I only give it one star because I have to give it a rating. This sounds nothing like their classic Mechanical Resonance, or the Great Radio Controversy. It sounds like the Def Leppard album Slang and even that had better songs than this trainwreck!
