The negative reviews are coming from people that are expecting way to much. A simpler song doesn’t mean it’s bad. “Fresh off the boat” is my favorite. Continue hating if you want, Gucci is the one with the gold chains, not you 😝😝

Great album

Been a big Gucci fan since high school, don’t get me wrong I know everyone has to blend in with the music going on now and stay in but I’m not really feeling this album. I’m used to the old Gucci Wilt Chamberlin Zone 6 EA sport center No pad no pencil and the list goes on etc. I know everyone changes but I can’t get with it lol

Been a Gucci fan for a minute but really loving this new Gucci. His last album was decent, but this one is more hard hitting. I like it. It definitely slaps in the whip. The last few albums Gucci has dropped have been something I can bump or smoke too. I like the direction Gucci Mane is heading in. GUWOP!!!

What I often find frustrating about reviews is that they are almost exclusively 5star or 1star reviews and most often consist of emojis or a few all cap words. Evil genius is very solid album that of course has its weak points. I personally don’t like off the boat or the last 3 songs. Other than that the songs are pretty good and not repetitive. If there is a 10 second repetitive hook that is not worth rating an album 1star. I have also seen people complain about wanting the old Gucci back and that he is working with bad artist like Lil pump. Well first of all you have many songs on this album that are very reminiscent of “the old Gucci”, and also the genre has changed from what it was 10 years ago also with Gucci’s voice actually changing. Regardless tracks like wake up in the sky and Father’s Day and by myself are solid tracks that venture into some uncharted territory that is different from what we usually get from Gucci. Then we get tracks like bipolar this the night cold shoulder and many others that capitalize off what got Gucci to the point where he is still relevant releasing his 13th studio album.
