I first heard about Lizzo when Terri Gross from NPR was interviewing her back in April or May and Terri played some of her music sandwiched between conversation. I love Lizzo’s personal spirit and this spirit comes through brilliantly in her music, lyrically; rhythmically; and instrumentally. I would love to hear more from her playing flute in her music and I know a phenomenal arranger (trumpet player named Brian Lynch on the level of Winton Marcellus who teaches at the University of Miami) who could make that happen without compromising her style. But all and all, this listener...a white, female senior citizen...will definitely be a lifelong fan. ❤️

None of the songs are good & the cover is disgusting. She needs to respect herself way better. Absolutely not okay. It’s not ATTRACTIVE @ all & I hope it’s her who sees this & realizes that huge women are gorgeous, but posting nude is not & need to be respecting herself & others of how this is not pretty too see at all. Make it stop. It needs a different career.

What drew me to this was the album cover, and not in a good way. I pride myself on liking a variety of music, this is just so bad. Her most popular song she repeats the same thing over and over. Obviously no ability to create lyrics. I couldn’t get through the entire album, it did actually hurt my ears. Redo the album cover and put on some dayum clothes. I don’t think that the majority of the people want to see that huge butt. Of course doing that won’t make the noise and vocals any better. I’ve been saying there is very little good music in years past and present, this crap proves my point.

Her lyricism, her authenticity, her effortlessness, her confidence, all come shooting through the speakers in such a way that for just a second, especially if you’ve taken a hit within the last 30 minutes, you might think Lizzo herself is in the room performing for you. The confidence that comes through each song is what you would expect from an artist like Beyoncé on her 3rd or 4th album. This album is breathtaking.

This is the record Niki Minaj wishes she made. The record Missy Elliot could’ve made but never did. It’s an album Cardi B simply isn’t capable of. Lizzo is unapologetic and motivational female girl power but without all the cash talk or rapping about her vagina. Its higher level. That’s going scare some away. For the rest of us we can enjoy this.

Best pop album besides TUN of 2019

I want to puke every time I hear this. If you plan on purchasing this, just throw the money out of the window..... it would be better spent.

Her voice isn’t bad, let’s be honest. Some of her songs are okay, but the cover is the problem. Don’t get me wrong, she looks fine and all, but certain audiences may not like the nude cover to this album since children are capable of stumbling across it. I honestly think this lady has potential to make herself a spot on the charts some day!

I heard her song on Someone Special movie and had to find it. I’ve been listening to all of her stuff for the past 3 day. ❤️

Lizzo is absolutely FLAWLESS. I’ve been obsessed ever since her song “Good As Hell” and this latest album is just as amazing. Original, fantastic vocals, fantastic story telling through her lyrics, and just a force to be reckoned with in general.

Look, this album is everything. It’s powerful. It’s vulnerable. It’s energy incarnate. It’s tender. It’s strong. It’s raw. It is an absolute BOMBSHELL of an album, and I cannot WAIT to see what Lizzo hits us with next.
