Great job by Taron Egerton! Great song choices as well. All the songs are great fun and very emotionally performed. Great job by all. Can’t wait to see the movie to see how the musical performances tell the story of Elton John.

Cannot wait to see the movie next week. Taron does all his own singing for it so of course it will be him singing on the soundtrack. He is crazy talented and his voice is amazing. Elton John approved!

This soundtrack is one for the ages. Taron has an incredible voice. He is the perfect choice to portray such an iconic performer. Listening to the new spin they put on Elton’s songs is so refreshing. If you buy any new soundtrack music in the near future I highly recommend this!

This makes me worry about the movie. If these are the versions of the songs they are going to use it will be a big disappointment to me. At least if Eltons songs arent being used give them the same song not some American Idol sounding versions. Not happy here

I have some choice words for all of the idiots complaining, "why the original music by Elton was not used in the film?" It's called money. To be able to license Elton's original music for the film would cost the filmmakers millions of dollars. We're talking rights to the Master Recordings, the song writers, as well as to Elton himself and the music labels. If it was up to Elton alone, then yes, it might not be a problem, but there are a lot of people who would need to be paid. The film and music are fantastic. Please stop complaining until you've seen it. Man, the internet just breeds ignorance!

Taron’s voice is nasally. Background singers carry the weight of each song. Stick to what you’re good at, Taron. Singing simply ain’t it!

I give the soundtrack 5 stars. I personally think you need to see the movie first to appreciate the soundtrack. I saw it in an early preview so I could visualize the scenes during each song. Also I enjoyed the bits of dialogue included as well. I personally think Taron did amazing on Border Song, Amoreena, Crocodile Rock & I’m Still Standing. And this from someone who can’t listen to anyone else sing Elton John songs! I think if you see the movie & don’t like it, then you won’t like the soundtrack but I love both so at least try it before you trash it! 🎹🎼

The movie was spectacular (saw Fandango preview showing 5/18/19) and the soundtrack is absolutely amazing. But here's what you need to know... It's Taron because HE sings the songs in the movie. I see this getting trash reviews because it's not Elton. If you want to hear Elton go buy HIS songs not Tarons (they're both really good though)

Taron never owns the songs. Production is great but the singing is largley monotone and sterile and also sounds like a bad broadway play. Hard to do Elton.

I originally was bummed they wern't using the real soundtracks like the Queen Movie did. However, after listening, I am more than impressed with the talent of Taron Egerton. He really sounds great. I normally dislike anyone covering Elton John because it always falls way short of Elton. Not this time. Great Job.

I’m usually really picky about other people singing songs by such icons as Elton John, but the interpretation and reimagining of these songs by Taron and Giles and the rest of the crew is spectacular. I especially love how broken down and raw some of these are. They are truly transporting and downright magical. Excellent work.

The recordings on this soundtrack are surprisingly great and very true to the originals, but I think it will be refreshing to see the film and not be distracted by the lip syncing--no matter how great the actor, the jolt from speaking to singing is often annoying. Elton decided that finding the right actor who could act AND sing would be the best idea for HIS biopic. Taron is not Elton, we know that, Elton knows that, and Taron knows that. Trust his instincts, relax, and enjoy!

First, if you're going to write a review, at least understand how to write basic grammar. Second, Taron is a good actor, has a nice voice, and did well on the album in my opinion. Third, Elton is VERY particular about his music and image. He personally approved of Taron's acting & singing. Finally, Elton specied to Taron not to immitate him but to instead make the movie and singing his own. If you don't like it, don't listen to it.

Gotta love that there is a movie about Elton John while he is still alive!! Don’t worry Elton, there are people ready to tell the REAL story of your life without you taking out the bad parts and sugar coating your life.

I’m sorry... yeah, maybe this fella can sing-ish, but it sounds like a bad Glee album. I don’t care if The Queen is England “hand picked” him, it’s horrible. Not even AutoTune could fix it. Too bad.

Listen if you’re looking for a Sir Elton John replica, kindly move along because there can only be one. However if you are open to listening to some wonderful renditions of that great man’s songs, take a listen to this. Taron does an absolutely amazing job filling a king’s shoes with his own take while staying true to ten spirit of Elton. In fact, his take on Your Song hit me pretty deep. it’s my favorite song and he did it justice and then some. I am even more ecstatic about watching this biopic now!

Elton said it himself, he wanted Taron’s renditions of his music not to imitate him, but rather make them his own. And he did it quite well. The whole album is great and I’m proud for them. Especially “rocketman” such a great version!!!

if the soundtrack has the orchastration and arrangements that i heard in the movie, it will have yourelistening to these songs in a whole different way, The songs help tell Eltons story.

I’m loving the album & cant wait to see the film. If the vocals are any indication, Taron is going to ROCK this movie!! To all the trolls - if you would to hear Elton, he has several albums you can purchase, (shocking, I know!) Or simply buy Diamonds (his greatest hits). That includes every song in the movie, plus some that didn’t make the cut. This film was made in the vision of Sir Elton John. And that includes Taron singing the songs himself. That’s what makes him such abversatile actor; and why Elton wanted him. He didn’t lip synch & put in fake teeth like some other actors... I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!!

Taron nailed with his amazing voice

Saw the movie in preview and LOVED the movie. Taron was amazing and some vocals from Jamie Bell and Richard Madden were a pleasant surprise. I think the Taron takes tough to sing songs and makes them his own. You know it is not Sir Elton, but I liked that Taron made it work. The movie viewing made the music really work for me. Great job to the entire team, but especially Taron.
