This soundtrack is amazing, and proves just how adept john still is at doing these kind of movie scores. His "The Rise of Skywalker" theme is beautiful, and perfectly conveys the emotion and nastalgia of this being the final film in a franchise. Way to go, John Williams!!!

John Williams’ scores for the Star Wars Saga have been nothing short of classics. Each score has brought something new to the table, each with a singular theme that defines the films they come from. The Rise of Skywalker is no exception, William’s new motif (aptly titled “The Rise of Skywalker”) permeates the entire score. It mixes in the emotions of hope as well as a sense of finality, almost celebratory. Celebratory is a good word I would use to describe this score as a whole. There isn’t much here that’s new or experimental, but I’m okay with that. Much like the film the music is made for, this feels like a celebration of Star Wars, and being that this is Williams’ final score for the series, what more could you ask for? 9 films, 9 incredible scores. Thank you John Williams.

Williams comes to play as always! The man is the greatest composer of our time and Star Wars is his Magnum Opus! Bravo Maestro!! Bravo!!

John Williams’ music is always epic. This album captures a lot of what is epic across the entire nine film saga. A must have!

I have only heard the finale and after watching the movie opening night I have to get to full album. The five stars is just for the finale alone.

I feel the like the score is perhaps the truest John Williams has been to himself. The previous two SA scores didn’t have that “Williams” feel. But, it’s back and he blew it out of the water!

This album is a masterpiece. There are not enough words in the English language to ever express the enormous amount of gratitude for John Williams. We are forever in your debt.

Once again John Williams has brought us a soundtrack that tells the story for itself. There is a feeling of nostalgia hearing past themes, but Williams shows you can reuse a theme and bring it new life. A fitting end to the Skywalker saga.
