This album is much better than her 2012 Havoc and Bright Lights.
Love Alanis and how I can always find a piece of myself in her songs.
Alanis is able to capture so many things with her lyrics, music and voice. You can feel the love, anguish, joy, anxiety, humor and heart in every second of this magnificent album. Thank you for sharing.
Alanis is an amazing artist. She uses her emotions to create this masterpiece. The songs on this album are phenomenal. Ablaze is pure beauty. This entire album is incredible. You will think the same.
Sounds like newer versions of her old stuff ....which is a great thing’! Just reminiscent of good music on the radio…
tbh stick to the 90s
Omg smiling is such a amazing song the words alone are breath taking for me alanis is the best
The queen of responsibility and reflection
Her best piece of art ever ! What an amazing album
Wow, after my first listen I fell, deeper, like in a meditation but brought my awareness back to the music, and lyrics to follow the song (instead of my great) lol. Love it, precious, refreshing and real. Unprecedented...
So relevant, powerful, and beautiful as always
Amazing.
Love all the songs. Purchased this the day of release and have been listening to her CD all night.
Alanis Morissette and so vulnerable in this album. She addresses heartbreak with healing. She’s pure magic.
Great album but Nemesis is my favorite
Amazing!!!
I have waited 8 long years for this and she didn't let me down. Stand outs are "losing the plot" "Smiling" and "Pedestal" Don't miss this Album!
truly amazing start to finish
Not one uptempo song, not one catchy hook. Head case musings to downbeat sounds. Musical sludge.
Sit back and relax. All songs are great for listening during pandemic time.
Such an icon and truth teller. Never sold out and stayed true to herself. Akins. Wow.
Pre-ordered and love what’s been released so far, especially Smiling and Diagnosis. These are the reasons I love Alanis 25 years on.
Worst album
Good !!!!
🤮
Alanis’s lyrics are very relatable as usual.
Can't get enough of this album! One of her best yet!! Love every song. Thank you!!
No one can write and emote like Alanis. Highlights on her most personal and emotional album include the galloping “Nemesis,” where against echoing guitars Morissette contemplates change. “Losing The Plot” is another standout, talking about the debilitating times in life, and “Pedestal” reminds us that she is ultimately human too.
The Queen of Mindfulness and Introspection!! Such a mature, warm and emotional record with raw lyrics and powerful vocals. Welcome back, Alanis! We love you!!! 👑❤️
I didn’t know a new album was coming out - what a nice surprise! I like that Alanis provided an explanation for each song - good read!
I’m very taken with this album. Haven’t enjoyed an Alanis album front-to-back since “So-Called Chaos”.
She’s grown as we’ve grown. Relatable for 25 years now.
Amazing album... worth the wait... Losing the Plot is my favorite so far.
For over 25 years, this musical goddess has given us the best of herself even in the worst of times. Thank U, Alanis, for another beautiful record. Looking forward to the post-poned tour next summer.
The angst, the pain and the voice we’re used to hearing is all there. She is such a talent.
Great album
So raw and impactful. A revival of jagged little pill era Alanis.
She’s back!!
Love this entire album!
Well worth the wait!
My favorite album of Alanis is 1998’s Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, but this album may have changed that. It’s entirely a rock piano album and it’s amazing. I never heard Alanis sound this good in her other albums. Welcome back Alanis.
Alanis is amazing as usual. Everything about this new album is exactly what we all need to hear.
Age has not dampened her, it has only added more intuitive self expression. 💚💚💚
Lyrically evocative! A sonic descent into the depths of postpartum depression and anxiety. It’s not Jagged Little Pill. It’s something much wiser and honest.
Alanis has long been an inspiration to me as both a perpetual student and as someone who struggles with the one-ness of humanity. This album is breath taking. I cannot iterate the beauty of “Losing the Plot” enough, and I must confess I’ve belted out “Diagnosis” loud and off key more than a dozen times now. “Nemesis” is a journey in and of itself. I am so thrilled that she has returned, and her songwriting has never been stronger.
Awful
Been listening to her since 1995’s Jagged Little Pill. I still listen to songs off several of her albums while taking the train to work. When Smiling was released, I was floored. I am happy she didn’t change up her sound much. I am a loyal fan and look forward to many more years of her talent.
Spectacular as always
Amazing, raw & beautiful. Thanks Alanis!
I've missed this great voice and this great Voice. Brilliant, splendid, heartbreaking, thrilling. She's still as wonderous and inventive as ever. This is a spectacular return. .
