A CLASSIC

This album is hardly original, and is bad attempt to recreate a “circus like” album like Britney Spears. Smile is the only decent track, and this album will be easily forgotten by time. Her earlier work was good, but since Teenage Dream she has steadily gone down hill. Probably best to retire and focus on her kid, since what is left of her career is dead.

Ear to ear smiles for this one! Katy never fails to amaze and slay the game.

Katy Perry is back at it with the bops. Her best work yet! Love the concept of this album and the concept behind the cover art. Genius😍

Love her new music! “Harleys in Hawaii” is my fav. Definitely not her normal style, but great music nonetheless.

All of these songs are beautifully sang and written, most you can blast in the car. Best album so far!

The best songs for me are 1) Harleys in Hawaii 2) Daisies 3) Smile. What I didn't like about the rest of the songs on the album was their musical construction and execution. It's a shame because the messages and lyrics are something to smile about.

After her last album this one is way better. It’s such a good comeback with hits after hits that sound different. Harleys in Hawaii is definitely underrated

Smile will be another flop. The iTunes Review, through its language, highlights the fact that nothing has really changed. Regardless of the PR narrative constructed to sell the album, there we see continued use of the same generic platitudes sung with dated, early 2010's EDM production flourishes. The title track, Smile, is good enough and Harleys in Hawaii is the most successful track because it sounds the freshest and most relaxed. Witness flopped because we've moved on from Katy's sound, style of singing (not that she was ever a truly gifted vocalist), and most importantly, her gimmicky, costumed approach to the creation and selling of a concept album. The cover of Smile is more annoying to look at than effective. Here's hoping motherhood will be enough for her, bcause the music landscape has moved on.

Let me start out by saying I Love Katy, I’ve seen her on tour 3 times but let’s be honest, this isnt her best work... There’s a few good songs. What Makes a Woman is probably the best cut. The lyrics overall are probably the strongest quality of this album. Most of the production seems recycled from Katy’s past albums & I have to say that’s my biggest problem with this album. Lyrically Katy has grown but in terms of musicality, Katy really hasn’t really evolved. A lot of her peers have branched out into other genres. I get campy glam pop is her niche but I really wish she would do a stripped back album or something that reruns to her roots, something to showcase her talent. Sadly, aside from a few songs, this isn’t it. :/

It gives hope and happiness to anyone, but especially resonates with those who understand the freedom of crossing over to the other side after traveling through and out of the debilitating effects of depression. I think this may be Katy’s best album. Every song is well done and there are no skips. I like the flow of the album which takes the listener on a journey. This album is full of all the things that make Katy Perry a great popstar.

I really wanted to love this album, but it just doesn’t cut it. The songs all sound similar and predictable. It is overproduced. She has been through a lot, but as an artist, she has peaked and has slid down the other side. Financially, she is set for life. I hope she is doing well and finds joy in motherhood.

Katy Perry whilst losing herself slightly during witness, has finally been able to reclaim her rightful crown as the Queen of bubblegum pop music, however also manages to take on a dark pop sound for ‘not the end of the world’, in a perfect blend of pure pop perfection. Don’t count Katy out yet because she’s just getting started and is ready to make us all SMILE!

I love Katy Perry but even as a fan I was not expecting it to be THIS GOOD! She continues to top herself ten years after Teenage Dream. My personal favourites are Cry About It Later, Teary Eyes and Not the End of the World but I get new favourites with every listen
