On 26 October 2020, Lipa formally announced that their collaboration would be called "Fever" and that it was scheduled for a release four days later. The song marks Angèle's first English-language song. It premiered at 23:00 GMT on 29 October 2020. The song was included in the digital and French editions of Lipa's second studio album Future Nostalgia.
