On “Buck 50,“ Juice WRLD gives his opposition a reality check, intimidating them as he claims to retaliate if himself or his crew are jeopardized, making references to his armory of weapons. Within the latter, Carlton McDowell closes the track with a guitar solo dedicated to the late rapper—as the two were close associates and grew up together. The track was first previewed throughout 2019 via multiple Instagram stories. An early mix of the track leaked in its entirety on November 22, 2020 with the final version later leaking on December 3, 2020. On December 1, 2020, Scheme announced that the track would no longer appear on FAMILY, but instead be released through the deluxe version of the album. It was confirmed weeks later when Scheme announced the track’s official release for January 22, 2021.
