Why would you consider it being "porn?" It's part of the whole picture called "ART." Was the boob slip really necessary? It depends on the artist creation. Enough of the boob slip. I really don't care about the boob slip. Let's talk about the music. So what do you think of the album? Have you actually sat down and listen to all of the songs and not just the clips of the songs? I took a chance and bought the whole album and it's really good for someone that I have not heard of in the past.

I’ve heard of Halsey for a couple of years, but never actually took a moment to listen to an album. Be honest I was curious about this one due to NIN involvement. Gotta say, I’m now a fan. Best album in two years.

All these reviews giving anything less than 5 stars, you’re wrong. This is *the* BEST album Halsey has ever written. Musically and lyrically incredible. The film that went along with it was brilliant. 10/10

This sounds like a quote our previous “president” would make and the music isn’t my vibe sadly. 👎 👎🏾👎🏽👎🏼👎🏻👎🏿 Also, women 🙋🏽‍♀️have the choice to breastfeed 🤱🏻or not, but I’m not a fan of flaunting anything-and especially not “tiddies” as Halsey refers to them. I will await the next album 💿and close my wallet 💳and my eyes 🙈for now.

On the first listen I really didn’t enjoy the album but after listening to it a couple more times I think it could be my aoty so far. I really like ‘honey’ and ‘you asked for this’. Great album.

This album is purely ethereal. Each song holds so much meaning and depth behind every tone and harmony. I can truly tell how much work Halsey put into the entire era of “If I Can’t Have Love, I want power,” and it’s absolutely payed off!! I cannot stop listening to it. This is everything we could have hoped and dreamed of for a Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross produced album fueled with the always outstandingly colorful lyricism of Halsey.

First things first - I’m an old lady in my 50’s who remembers listening to 9-inch nails when that Trent Reznor signature sound was new. Truth be told, I tired of it rather quickly. As for Halsey, I have a couple songs downloaded - Not a major fan, but I enjoy some of her music. Then comes along this marriage of talents, and I’m honestly kinda blown away by how good it all is. That hard industrial Reznor urgency offset by Halsey’s airy vocals is really something special. And all the production value in the world couldn’t hid weak songwriting- but you will not find that an issue here as the compositions and lyrics are really solid. I go from causal listener to genuine enthusiast with this album. I look forward to more Halsey - and I can’t wait to see what they do next!

This album is so good. From start to finish. Halsey really let their creative side fly with this. Probably my favorite album of theirs.

This cover is entirely unnecessary and incredibly offensive to millions of people of faith! How is this okay?? Perversely dressing as Our Blessed Mother and mocking our Church is disgusting! Apple should be ashamed for promoting this abhorrent junk. If I could rate this negative stars, I would.

ive literally never bought an album on itunes but this one is legendary. 0 skips, halsey is in their absolute element here and you can hear it in every single song. the album is like a grown up badlands + hfk concoction and it is beyond beautiful.

This is easily Halsey’s ist powerful album. I’m loving it!

Approached this with some reservations...i mean Halsey? But the chances she took and the resulting songs are very, very, very good. I really enjoy the album as a whole as it tells one story while telling many. If you get it...it is excellent. If you are bringing outside prejudices to the album well you were not going to enjoy it anyways. Your loss. GREAT album!!!

Blown away by the quality of the production, the lyrics, and the melodies. Halsey has truly stepped into their own as an artist, with a record that feels equal parts timeless and the start of a new chapter. S/o to Atticus and Trent for being excellent collaborators! This is hands down the definitive Halsey album :D

A lot of y’all are missing the point of the cover. Her body has been sexualized and has belonged to the world her entire career. This cover is her taking back autonomy of her own body. It’s acknowledging that sexuality and parenthood can coexist. And it’s also a juxtaposition of art pieces. The album itself is supposed to feel overwhelming and claustrophobic. It’s full of fear and and then feelings that they feel they needed to get rid of before being a mother. I think it’s phenomenal

TYSM HALSEY!! I love what u stand for! I’m 11 and I understand.

I had a feeling about this one, and I really like all but one song (and I still like the lyrics of that song, I just think the track could’ve been better overall). I preferred the haunting instrumentals and intense vocals of Badlands, but the story Halsey is telling with this album is clear while still feeling artistic and epic. Some tracks throw a 90s punk edge into the mix, some almost have a carefree 70s vibe, and some songs would work in medieval dramas, and it all works surprisingly well together… with the one exception: “Easier Than Lying” was a little too high energy for the lyrics, in my opinion.

I love Halsey, but I was expecting more from this album. The songs sound similar and do not give off the “I want power” vibe. Will be sticking to her old work though.

This album reminds me of her first, but it also shows how much she has grown. The lyrics are so powerful and each song is unique. I love this album so much and what it represents. I appreciate her trying to end the stigma about women’s bodies but clearly some haven’t received the message. The album is inspiring and I think it’s her best music yet. Truly beautiful.
