I wrote it a year after the break-up, very much as a reflection,” Lizzy explains. “I’ve never really been nervous to release a song, but for this one, I almost am; I know he’s going to hear it and know that it’s about him because all the lyrics are extremely real. I’m a little scared, but I’m speaking my truth.”
