Zach outdid himself with this masterpiece called American Heartbreak. The way he strums, sings, and feels every aspect of his work makes the songs personal. Every beat never misses and he pours his absolute soul into the work of the album. There is no biased in this review but simply an observation of my own seeing the sheer songwriting talent this man has. His ability to rip the listeners heart out, analyze it, and reshape it makes him the best songwriter of our time. People take for granted his skills because of him being a “country singer”. Zach Bryan is much more than a “country singer” he is a talent among men, songwriting superstar, and therapist within his own. You will not regret this listening of 33 songs and a poem. It will change the way you think of your hometown, attitude, and relationships. Listen with a good ear because you are bound to hear some of the closest to home hitting stuff in these great tunes.

The current music scene is an absolute mess. Finally something good. Zach might be the purest artist in the business. Love how Zach sped up his music a bit and added more instruments. The band is fantastic on this album. The song “The Good I’ll Do” is my favorite. Never change Zach. Great album!

Zach really went all out for this album. Yes, there are a lot of songs, but every one of them is to top standard. Some of the best songwriting to come out in a while. Great highs and lows. Truly was worth the wait.

He’s so good that he doesn’t fit into any category, he IS the category. I’ve been a fan since I listened to the lyrics of “God Speed” way back when. Most of his songs are pure poetry. He has some happier songs on this new album, which I appreciate, but nothing is better than those hit-you-in-the-face-instant-tears songs he writes and then sings with this tone that melts into your soul, piercing your heart but warming it at the same time, resulting in a sort of sad happiness that no other artist can this easily do. I am so proud of him for how far he has come, and excited that more people get to experience the experience of Zach Bryan!
