I didn’t like the album at first. I listened to the first 15 seconds then hit next with every song. I decided I didn’t like it. I had already pre purchased cause I liked all her other albums. I took the time to listen and stop expecting instant gratification. I love it. There two songs that aren’t on repeat but I love the album. I appreciate its nuances and how effortlessly it feels when really it took work.

this sounds horrid

I sat with this amazing album for the past 3 months and it has truly only gotten better with every listen. No matter what you are doing, this album will be sure to get your body moving. I can only listen to Renaissance in the order Beyoncé has presented to us as it creates for an otherworldly experience. The transitions between the tracks, such as Cuff It and Energy, flow seamlessly into each other. So far, my top three favorite tracks from this album are Alien Superstar, Virgo’s Groove, and Heated. Thank you Beyoncé! You created a beautiful work of art with ACT 1 and I cannot wait to see the visuals paired with it.

Im so glad she decided it was a good idea to release this album over the summer I just preordered the album today and although I doint really know what ablum sounds like yet I know that Beyoncé has somthing good in mind as always . Gay album

Most her songs aren’t great.. Extremely vulgar. She sounds like she’s half singing, but the only song that is catching my attention is Virgos Groove. It actually means something and there’s a vibe there. She honestly sounds narcissistic half of the time..

This album probably won’t resonate for a lot of people who aren’t cultured, LGTBQ or black. It’s a masterpiece and i can’t get enough 😆✨

This album is different from what we’re used to getting from Bey which is fine. She’s got some good hooks on most of the songs… there would be a song that I’m vibing to and then she starts talking or adding some weird rap that ruins it, it just doesn’t fit & didn’t need to be added. There’s maybe 3-4 songs that I like the ENTIRE song. Not her best but there are some good songs.

Beyoncé never disappoints with her full bodies of work. Break My Soul is a fun uplifting song to get the fans engaged with this new era, a taste of intertwined house and bounce music not touched by Beyoncé in her previous studio albums. A huge risk considering this is not her usual forte or a sound which her fans are used to hearing from her. But this is Beyoncé we’re talking about, she’s always gone against the grain since parting ways with her father-manager, and starting her own management company “Parkwood Entertainment” well over a decade ago. Although this album is set to go straight to the top of every chart, we’re getting a new Beyoncé who is focused on her own artist, further expanding her boundaries of creativity and bringing a positive, fun energy to a new decade of music. What a way to start an era. So far, the rollout of this album seems to be more traditional compared to the industry-shattering “surprise-drops” like Self-Titled and the most acclaimed album in history, Lemonade. However, there have not been any visuals released for the lead single thus far. Could this mean a full visual album is dropping on the 29th of July? Who knows! And even though there are pre-orders available for the physical album and vinyls on her website, no artwork or visuals have been revealed, with radio silence from Beyoncé since her album announcement. Well, seems queen b has lost herself. Samples of past artists are infused excessively in almost all these songs. Madonna, Donna Summer, Robin S etc etc. sampling is honestly a lazy artist’s way to pump out past popular music to stay relevant. As a dance music connoisseur who grew up listening to Dance music of the 80s, 90s and 2000s, I know a thing or two about dance music. Beyonce fails hard in her attempt to attack this genre. I knew it wasn't going to be good when I heard Break My Soul. This album won't produce any hit singles. There is nothing new, fresh or innovative on this album. The most creative thing about this album is the cover art, which knowing Beyoncé, has been copied from another artist's work. This has been hyped by a deluded and brainwashed fanbase and some very clever marketing. That's it.

All very “vanilla” and she is really a great singer trying to fit into trends than expressing her own relevance. “Formation” was an iconic unique TRACK! This is just elevator, lounge stuff. Beyoncé severely lost her way after 2010. She obviously caters to a specific crowd who love her for their own reasons- but for me, this is absolutely unlistenable. No doubt she has a killer voice, but it’s being used for all the wrong reasons, unfortunately.

Modern crap

Needed a few listens but concluded this is an amazing dance album. Absolutely amazing: “all up in your mind”. And of course “break my soul” is the absolute workout power song. All those who complained about the foul language probably are terrorist Karens, the album is not for you! It is like other musicians are not even trying!!

I’m a HUGE beyonce fan. I’ve loved her since the early destiny’s child days but this album is terrible. Almost all the songs sound the same, there isn’t 1 track that I like. Lemonade is one of my favourite albums ever, that’s the sort of album you can play in 20 years time and it still be relevant. The self titled album before that was amazing too. This reminds me of the joint album she did with Jay, where the whole album sounds the same and is just meh………. I know lemonade would be hard to top but it’s like she hasn’t even tried, it’s like the whole album is full of filler tracks

I think what people want is for her to stick with a formula they think works forever, well sorry but she’s not gonna keep making “Dangerously In Love” album every release that was back in 2003! Wonderfully Beyoncé pushes the envelope by bringing a surprise and something different for the true fans and I’m by no means a stan but I’m here for experimenting in different genres!! Standouts for me in no particular order: CUFF IT ENERGY CHURCH GIRL VIRGO’S GROOVE AMERICA IS A PROBLEM COSY

Album is full of bangers and her best to date IMO, looking forward to act 2 and 3 and the videos!

Sonically this is her best album. It’s just beautiful. This album had my full attention from the very first seconds and didn’t let me go until the closing synths. It’s so cohesive, the flow is just insane. Lyrically, it doesn’t have the emotional depth as some of her previous works, but that’s not the intention here. This is an album to let go, dance and just get lost in the amazing music. Vocally there’s a lot of highlights. Amazing background vocals are littered throughout virtually all the songs and the runs and riffs are insane (I think this is something that really sets Beyoncé a part from the rest). The production is just lush, risky & experimental in some places, and in others just classic and timeless, yet every song has a place here and fits so well in the album. Musically this is an ode to dance music. It covers a lot of ground. We’re taking 70’s disco, 80’s vocal house, garage, afrobeats, hyperpop (?!), dance floor hip hop and so much more. It’s such a genre bending album, and it is clear that Beyoncé and the rest involved are knowledgeable on the clear inspirations for these sounds. Music this good is not made by accident. I love this, this is for sure my album of the year so far. I haven’t had such an visceral reaction to an album in years. Thanks for this Beyoncé.

Overrated drivel

Purposefully records a song with derogatory term used. There are no excuses for it to be released containing it. All this, so that she can then come out and ‘apologise’ then do a ‘re-recording’ and then get praise for how inclusive she is and what a ‘hero’ she is. Sad really.

This album is out of this world. It gets better every time I listen to it, finding nuisances in each track. Every song feels like a whole album in itself and Bey has given us a full body of work once again. Each song fitting into the next so effortlessly. She does not duplicate or try to replicate herself. I’m exited but at the same time nervous about the next 2 albums that are part of the trilogy but if there’s one thing I know about Beyoncé it’s that she never disappoints. People love to hate on her for no good reason and say she’s overrated, in my opinion she’s underrated. People need to appreciate the art she’s putting into this world. Self titled onwards she’s given us timeless albums which I know I will be listening to for the rest of my days.

Beyoncé is a mega star. But does she understand her what her unique brand is. I really struggle to connect with her latest piece of artistry. Beyoncé is an amazing performer and her electric visuals through her clothes and performances help the songs. Let’s wait for the videos to judge. I liked the initial single but in my humble opinion whilst I think sonically and vocally it’s interesting. It will be interesting how much of a success this will be. It’s not a commercial album, but I am sure when you’re are worth 2bn. It’s doesn’t matter. If she enjoyed producing it - she is in a position to not care what anyone else in the industry thinks.
